The Single Best Mustang Book Available
As a mustang owner, I have a shelf full of mediocre mustang publications - they either tend to be "fluffy" picture books, or broad based overviews, covering a large period, but offering very little detail.

Original Mustang 1964.5-1966 takes the most ideal approach to the subject. Focusing exclusively on the first 2.5 model years, Mr. Date is able to focus his efforts. The photos are varied and of high quality, and tend to be of unrestored california cars - offering unprecedented insight into originality. This is a refreshing approach as mustang originality can be a difficult thing to pin down.

There is extensive info on VIN decoding, color options, etc., much of which is admittedly widely available, but if I were able to have only one mustang book, this would be the one.

Outstanding Restoration Guide
It takes only a few minutes leafing through Mr. Date's book to realize the wealth of information contained within. It is a help to the first timer as well as to the experienced Mustang restorer. The book contains many fantastic photo examples of the various models of the Early Mustangs ('64 1/2 - '66). It is a welcome addition to my collection of Early Mustang books and Restoration Guides.

A very simple tool that saves manufacturers thousands.
If you want to make someone's day, (and they are in maintenance or production:>), give them a copy of Mr. Hansen's book on OEE. He shows us how to capitalize on a very simple formula to save thousands by investing a little time and the knowledge in his book. It surprising how many do not know about OEE, so don't assume they do.

The overall performance of a single piece of equipment, or even an entire factory, will always be governed by the cumulative impact of the three OEE factors: Availability , Performance Rate, and Quality Reject Rate.

Availability X Performance X Quality= OEE

With the knowledge and utilization of the OEE calculation, it is common to realize greater than 40% increase in your bottom line. If you're making a profit now, just think of the opportunity. More importantly, OEE is the glue that sustains other initiatives by enabling all to clearly see where to focus, and the results of those focused efforts. The exciting point is that OEE is a simple method of measuring, you can start utilizing it Today!

My challenge to the industry is to Stop OEE Ignorance, and spread the word about this valuable tool. So I recommend you buy Mr. Hansen's book today.

The Hidden Factory Unlocked
As a practitioner of Equipment Reliability and the person responsible for Equipment Operational Effectiveness, I found Mr. Hansens' views of OEE extremely accurate and useful. His interpretations and the posturing of OEE with factory output demonstrates the importance of reliability to the corporate bottom line. Many companies continuously ignore the importance of unlocking the hidden factory and don't realize the waste generated by ignoring OEE concepts. Mr. Hansen, in 274 pages, gives a complete and compact version that any corporate manager, by being proactive and a visionary, can utilize to change costs into profits. Reliability and OEE technologies appear to be fairly new to much of the industrial world. Mr. Hansen decribes in his book a cultural change, that if followed, will help produce a payback welcomed by any corporate institution. His writing is easy to understand by both new and old Reliability/OEE practitioners. He has written in an orderly fashion with each chapter building on, and complementing the previous. The book describes in a step by step fashion the concept of true OEE, which when practiced will unlock the hidden factory. As Mr. Hansen points out; "If you are not supporting Reliability, then you are supporting failures".

Great book for beginners or the advanced.
I have Scott Mueller's book (quite excellent, but hard to read) and one by Peter Norton (useless). I keep pulling this one out because it's the easiest one to find what I'm looking for, and by far the most fun to read. I hope this Graves charector writes more computer books.

This is my FAVORITE computer hardware book!
I've looked everywhere for a book that had lots of detail, but wasn't too hard to read. This is IT! Michael Graves writes really well, and that's rare in the world of computer books. Most of them put you to sleep. He tells lots of funny stories as well as giving you all the information you'll ever need to know about computer hardware. You have to have this book!

Not just for beginners...
I do not consider myself a beginner to PCs, but I still found this to be a great book. The chapter on printers, a very under represented technology in books, makes it worth the price. It is really easy to read, but not so easy as to be talking down to you. This would be a good book to read if you are interested in how that box on your desk works or if, for once, you'd like to know what that techie at work is talking about. Good read!

All the details, but in plain language
I am a newbie to computers, but I want to learn how they work. This book explains the details of how a PC works and much of what I should do when it doesn't. Mr. Gilster explains things in a no-nonsense, clear way that doesn't try to blow me away with all of the technical jargon. He obviously knows his stuff and how to explain it to someone like me. Great book for anyone who wants to move past the newbie level!

I am not a friend of the author, but I praise him!!

Sherman certainly doesn't tank with this tome.
In fact, he more resembles King Henry at the Battle of Agincourt with this winning effort. I dabble in Marine Electrics but find myself ineffective applying the principles of instruction. While I understand why a customers boat needs a working galvanic isolator, or why I want to rip out from their boat the residen-
tial type solid copper conductor Romex cabling when I see it, putting that into phraseology understandable by someone trained in another specialty is usually a problem. With this book I can either explain in words or hand them the pagemarked book itself.
I usually do the latter and keep on working.
I appreciate the depth into which the author explains shorepower systems, especially how he echoes my distaste for ferro-res chargers and my preference for 3 and 4 step smart chargers and multistage inverter chargers.
Anyone who owns a hole in the water you pour money into that has at least one engine, battery and decked over bow should have one copy of the 12 volt bible on board and another back at the house.

Sherman's assault on electrical mysteries!
Whether you're a new to electrical systems or a professional serviceman, there is valuable material here for you. The book starts with the basics of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams and test equipment. The liberal use of drawings and photographs clearly illustrates the theories set forth. The recommended test equipment is used and demonstrated consistently throughout the book. So, any user purchasing or owning similar devices will have a clear idea how to apply them when troubleshooting and maintaining an electrical system. The explanation of wiring diagrams, symbology and use in maintenance applications is very easy to follow. For the professional serviceman, the references to ABYC standards and practices is very informative. The chapter covering circuit protection and repair procedures gives significant insight as to what is or is not a good electrical connection! There are two chapters devoted to batteries and battery charging systems. This included the use of isolators, combiners, wiring schemes, hydrometer testing, load testing, alternator and shore power charging systems. Explanations are thorough enough to explain the workings of these systems for basic troubleshooting or selection of equipment for upgrades to systems. AC and DC devices aboard the boat are each covered in their own chapters. Installation considerations as well as troubleshooting are explained. Safety with AC systems is discussed at length. Again there are frequent references to the ABYC standards throughout. Finally the book wraps up with the chapter on electronic installations. Issues such as RFI, magnetic field interference, power, and basic physical considerations are included. For the boat owner interested in doing it themselves, or those that want a little more knowledge when dealing with servicemen, this book provides a solid base of theory and practical knowledge for both. All installation and maintenance explanations are given in the context of the ABYC standards. Therefore I highly recommend it as a book to have on the shelf for professionals as well.

Finding the perfect compromise between theory and practice.
A very useful book, perfect for race engineers, and a good launching platform for an engineer just starting to delve into the field of racecar engineering. Mr Van Valkenburg has a very unique view of racecar engineering that makes his writings a pleasure to read.

Extremely informative, a must read for any race car crew.
Mr. Van Valkenburgh has succeeded in getting across a great deal of technical information, and presenting it in such a way that the non-technical reader can understand and apply it. From tires and shocks, to suspension geometry and slip angles, all of the nuts and bolts info. is covered. No muss, no fuss, no useless information that won't help you win races, just factual, useful information. I take it with me every time we go to the track, and I use it every time.

Love Conquers All Differences
To read a book by dear friends is a treat. From their meeting in anatomy class at Texas A&M's Pharmacy School, where they shared a box containing their two male rabbits (they thought), through their 30+ years of married bliss, you see a heart-warming tale of two opposites and evidence that, indeed, love can conquer all.

Laughed out loud
The Redneck and the High Maintenance Woman is a delightfully funny collection of stories Doyle High tells about his marriage to Roberta as he dispenses advice about getting along with one. Roberta adds comments at the end of his tales, getting in the last word, as is fitting for a high maintenance woman. As many times as I've read the stories I still laugh out loud, and find myself repeating them often. And there's an added benefit: before this book, I had never heard the expression high maintenance woman -- now I know how to be one!

Richard Ballantine: Cycling's Friendly Fanatic
I've been a cyclist for about twenty five years and in that time I've managed to accumulate a library of books on cycling. Books on everything from custom frames to offroad riding technique. But by far the most enjoyable to read has been this and several others by Mr.Ballantine. Many of the newer cycling books have a compulsive, competitive tone to them, as if the authors assumed the reader was bent on entering the Tour de France. In contrast, Dick Ballantine infuses the reader with his sense of joy and enthusiasm about the pure act of riding and the pure form of the diamond frame bicycle, a design that has accomodated over a hundred years worth of cyclists. But he also manages to cover practical matters--everything from hub overhauls to recumbents. The first chapter is entitled
Get A Bike! Since I first started reading Mr.Ballantine, I've "gotten" five and partly due to him, I've loved them all.

Best character/diversity/art bicycle book...
This book should have never been let go out of print. R's 'Ultimate' book does not replace it. This book has much writing of great character and insight. It covers the whole rainbow of cycling with proper respect and depth, with particular nods to velomobiles, trikes, recumbents and folders. This edition also has the finest assortment of B&W bike sketch art ever published, with superb highlights by the incomparable PAT.
