I first met Dr. mayes in Hershey PA, and I had the honnor to get in touch with his book when it was still being written. He told me that differently of his first book, the second will focus also on Dental PPOs, considering the extremely growing of PPOs in the recent years in USA. When I got the book I could confirm not only that PPOs were there, but there were many other vital subjects for Dental Business. Dr Mayes visited Brazil for the International Seminar on Dental Plans Management in September - 2002, assisted by some key Executives in our local Dental Market. Since then Dr. Mayes book has been largely used for many people, including the Agencia Nacional de Saude Suplementar (ANS), the government Agency for regulation on Dental and Health Plans. This and other facts prove that "Dental Benefits" is not only about the american dental plans, but surely about the "World Dental Benefits" . At least it has been for brazilian dental plans in the present "growing" moment. I strongly recomend it for every Dental Company around the world.

The book is so completed that we invited Dr. mayes to visit Brazil and share your temendous knowledge and experience in Dental Benefits with our local market key executives. The firt Seminar of Dental Plans Management took place at American Chambers of Commerce of São Paulo, 26th and 27th of September 2002 and his book "Dental Benefits" were included for each participant of the Seminar. Since then the wook is largely used for many people, including the Agencia Nacional de Saúde Suplementar(ANS), the federal government agency for dental and health plans regulation. A significant part of Dr. Mayes book was also translated and used by ANS in the Referral Material in their first publication on Dental Plans - "Planos Odontológicos: Uma Abordagem Economica no Contexto Regulatório".
This and many other facts prove that Dr. Mayes book is not applicable for the "American Dental Benefits" , but for "World Dental Benefits" . Certainly it has a great value for the brazilian Dental Market at the present "growing" moment.

Bennett has created a clear guide that both beginning and experienced restorators will find helpful. His techniques preserve the integrity and value of antiques by treating them conservatively. I especially appreciate Bennett's directions for formulating fillers and cleaners. If you want to do a proper job of restoring a fine antique this book is an essential tool.

This book is full of very helpful information on many aspects of furniture restoration and repair. Unlike many books on the subject it gives you the information you need without wasting your time or money.

Old Dodge trucks were, let's face it, not the best sellers in truckdom. We Dodge owners are few and far between, so trying to get information on how it looked back then is often an exercise in frustration. This book is packed with information for the rebuilder or restorer: which parts were used for which years, which engines, options, brakes, trannies, etc. Has been a great reference for getting my 55 and two 57 pickups roadworthy again!

This book really details the history of the Dodge pickup trucks through the years. I found it very useful when trying to distinguish the years in which parts could be interchangeable in my Dodge truck. The balance of pictures and text creates an enjoyable reading experience.

This is the book to have when you either need to check on the authenticity of a Ducati "bevel drive" twin cylinder motorbike or wish to restore one. (If the latter, and you wish to do it properly, bring mucho lire.) For such low production numbers, it's surprising how many variations of gadgets Ducati used to build these beasts. If you wish to make certain that your bike has all the proper bits for its serial number, you'll need this book. Incidentally, though Mick Walker writes (lots of) good books about motorcycles in general and Ducatis in particular, this book by Mr. Falloon is both more thorough and detailed than Mick's books on the same subject. I would compare this book in quality and utility to the excellent "Original..." books intended to carefully document collectable automobiles -- except that the photos aren't as lush.

Mick Walker has been into Ducatis for as long as I can remember. He had a dealership in the 60s and 70s, as well as being involved in the racing side. Now Mick and his brother Rick spend their time giving advise and supplying those hard to get parts at reasonable cost from Wisbech, Cambridge UK. Yes he is still at it. This book (I borrowed a copy) is a very comprehensive reference guide. It is not a workshop manual, it is a history book and a technical book in one. Chapters on various cycle parts, electrics, engine, carburation etc. Hints and tips abound ( did you know that there are 3 different types of Lucas Rita I did not - I bought the wrong one ). There is a half page devoted to petrol taps (petrol cocks) for example. This is a very comprehensive guide for anyone with a bevel twin it has an abundance of photographs (B/W) and much technical data. Excellent bedtime reading from a leading authority on things Ducati, Buy it,read it, and then keep it by your bedside .

This book provides the most comprehensive overview I have found thus far for engineers and field professionals involved in the maintenance and testing electrical power systems and equipment. The author presents the materials very effectively. The book is both an indispensible resource for the practicing engineer, as well as an ideal training tool for teachers and students engaged in primary and continuing education in this field.

But seriously, folks, this is just about your only printed choice for 121 regs besides the ones from Jeppesen, which are ONLY available by subscription (not printed in any book format). Of course you can download them from the FAA.

I have been very pleased with my FAR/FC from ASA. The two-column format and readable font are easy on the eyes. What more can you ask for? There certainly aren't many pictures! You might as well order it from here, preferably sharing the shipping cost with something else that you really want, and save yourself the tax + the $... markup at your local FBO.

I was mesmerized by each gripping page of CFRs, deffinitions, specifications and leagal poetry. I especially identified with the main hero, "Administration." Page after page I joyfully sobbed at 100 hour inspection criteria, identification number specs and general flight rules. Just thinking about 800 pages of Federal Regulations makes my heart race! It also makes great bathroom reading!

For years I've listened to talk about the wonders of fieldbus. Claims for this technology ranged from "less wire and maintenance" to "world peace and prosperity"! It's now such a relief to have an unbiased book that explains in simple terms some of the most common fieldbus technologies. Hopefully, this information, combined with the growing availability of fieldbus products, will make it possible for me to improve the control system in my plant.

I'm fortunate in that someone very special recognized my interests this year with a generous gift in Stuart Kirkfield's book.

Wayne, Elser, Howells and Carmichael's books are all tickled to have this new one sitting amongst them on my shelf. Stuart evidently has forgotten more about building and restoration than many of us will learn. But, thanks to his book we're all better makers due to his efforts.

This is a surprisingly insightful, comprehensive book on the subject. Starts with good overview of bamboo fly rod evaluation, and walks the reader through the entire process of stripping, repair, varnishing, and beyond. Also useful to people who aren't interested in restoring fly rods, but do want to learn more about them. Belongs on the book shelf of every fly fisherman!

I read this book and I must say I was quite pleased with it. It offers a good guide to ski tunning, with step by step instructions. I particularly liked the checklist at the beginning of each chapter that made the whole book as a sequential script on how to fine tune our skis. It doesn't, however, go too much into the details of ski tunning, but that was not its purpose anyways. I would say that this book is a wonderfull complement to Seth Masia's book, where more detailed stuff can be found.

Not only does From Tip to Tail provide you with a WORKING knowledge of ski tuning, it offers up something that other ski tuning manuals don't‹simplicity and focus. I found that after having read this small, but potently illustrated book, the art of ski tuning suddenly was within my grasp. Now I'm keeping that money I used to dole out to ski techs and buying the author a ceegar

Whether you use this as a bookshelf reference or a daily guide in either implementing or fine tuning your own PM program, the book is easy reading and provides a wealth of concepts, actual examples and sound advice. I've had the opportunity to watch this program work and it's dynamite. However, stepping up to this level and creating a new way of operation can be painful. John Gross provides the hard earned experience and guidelines to make your effort more successful and help you avoid the mindfields of being on the cutting edge. This is must reading for any plant manager, plant engineer or plant operations manager. For those running warehouse operations, the concepts apply equally well for facility and equipment support.

If you are implementing a PM program, or just want a better understanding of the PM process, this is a great book. It not only walks you through the entire PM process, it also includes examples and photos of real implemented projects. This book is valuable tool for anyone implementing (or seeking to understand) a PM program.
