Romantic Suspense with a Historical Romance background!
Seven years ago, Celeste Kennedy had been raped by her fiance. When she refused to marry him because of it, her father threw her out of the house. Celeste had to make her living by becoming a whore. The son that was made the night she was raped, was nearly deaf. Celeste kept her son, Adam, ignorant of her profession. Adam lived at a special school where he learned sign language, to read lips, and to speak. Fox MacPhearson's father had died. Fox came into town expecting to inherit the house, the bank account, and an abandoned gold mine. Instead he found an angel. Celeste had began her relationship with Fox's father in the whore house. They quickly had become friends as well. When he got too sick to take care of himself, Celeste moved into the house to take care of him. Days before he died, he changed his Will. Celeste owned the house, the money, and half the abandoned gold mine. Fox and Celeste became mining partners. They struck, not gold, but silver! At the same time, a serial killer begins killing the town whores. Sheriff Tate suspects Fox. After all, it all began the night he arrived in town. Then there was Fox's past. There was a corpse of a whore there too. Celeste was in more danger than she thought. ***A MUST TO READ! A romantic suspense novel with a historical romance background! I cannot BEGIN to tell you how much I loved this book! I will keep it forever!***

This is an excellent read that will keep you turning pages.
Colleen Faulkner has done it again. "Angel In My Arms" will touch your heart. This is a realistic picture of the old west. A strong woman fights to survive and protect her handicapped son in a man's world and finds love where she least expects it. I found the murder mystery fascinating, and I did not guess the guilty party until the end. Another great Faulkner read!

A good story
I thought this was a great book. I liked the characters and the story, but i thought the word "whore" was overused. The murders added some interest, but it seemed obvious who had done it after the first murder. But I really did enjoy the book! Colleen Faulkner is an author whom I will seek out.

Far Surpasses Expectations
I'm delighted to be one of the contributors to this publication. Not particularly my own story, which our family is so glad to finally see in print, but because of the other wonderful contributions. How blessed we are to be numbered together in the realm of Angels. Each author holds a special place in my prayers and heart. Your stories have enriched my soul.

Rick and Barb, may God's Blessings accompany your efforts in marketing this book. I am honored to be included among the exceptional writers you selected.

Thank you for your kindness.

Blessings and Teardrops
What a wonderful book! I was touched by every single story, but especially the contributions from the Smiths, Geralynn and David ("Martha" and "Brandy"). I assume they are married, based on their bios. This book is perfect for gift giving, but get a copy for yourself, too. It's fast, easy reading, and will bless your heart. I highly recommend it, for all ages, including teens and senior citizens. Excellent!

Charming and Unpredictable
I bought a copy of this book as a gift for a friend. After I read it, I decided to keep it, and went out and bought several more for gifts. This book contains a delightful mixture of experiences with guardian angels from a variety of perspectives--all with a solid ring of truth to them.
Even if you don't necessarily believe in guardian angels, these unpretentious stories tell of remarkable episodes in the lives of ordinary people. An inspiring and touching read.

Creative, Practical, Easy Asian Secrets
Nutrition and creativity combined in this useful presentation of easy-to-make Asian recipes. Beautifully and personally written, backed by hard science.

Delicious and easy low-fat Asian recipes
Tran's book was an unexpected treat. These are not exotic or complicated Asian recipes, but they produce good tasting Asian dishes, that are either naturally low-fat, or adapted (less emphasis on protein, reduced oil when possible, the use of low-fat coconut milk, for example.) The ingredients are readily available in most supermarkets. There are menu plans available which promise weight loss, but I just use the recipes. (The peanut sauce for the satays is great--and I even modified it more with lower-fat peanut butter.) These are nice recipes for introducing one's family to Asian cuisine--particularly Thai and Vietnamese. I also enjoyed the photographs of Tran and her family, which personalized the book for me.

Delicious, easy introduction to elegant Asian meals
In her second cookbook, Diana My Tran gives the health-conscious person, who may not be familiar with Asian delicacies, the scientific facts and the culinary guidance to prepare beautiful, healthy and quick dishes. Calories, proteins, carbs and more are given for each item, and menus suggested for continued good eating. This book combines a creative but sensible approach to eating Asian with a personal glimpse at an extraordinary chef.

fascinating experience
i have actually read this book 3 times....what an enjoyable read and a time to reflect....want to feel better---buy a copy and you will immediately cheer up (with a few tears shed along the way). of course i'm a bit prejudice, believing that golden retrievers are our gift from heaven....

Bailey Bymyside
Anyone who owns a Golden Retriever will see a little bit of Bailey in him/her. Patricia Burlin Kennedy has been able to put into words what so many of us feel in our hearts. Anyone who reads this book will "feel" the connection that these four legged creatures have with us. You will smile, you will cry and hopefully, you will pause to think about these life lessons and promise to be a better person because of these reminders. Please buy this book for your children and encourage them to live by Bailey's example.

Bailey Bymyside:Golden Lessons for Life
Bravo! Kennedy and Christie have done it again. "Bailey Bymyside" is not simply a book about the amazing life of a fine Golden. It is a spiritual journey that will teach the reader some of the most important lessons life has to offer. Each page carries a profound statement with a glorious accompanying illustration, that will make you pause and reflect sometimes sirring a tear or a "dog earred" grin. For example, the lesson "that compromise allows us to move forward together" with a picture of 2 dogs swimming upstream with a shared stick in their mouths. What an profound message in today's world! This book is really for the young and old. Pair this book with their first book, "Through Otis' Eyes: Lessons from a Guide Dog Puppy" and you will be giving the best holiday or birthday gift a dog lover has ever received!

Baruch: My Own Story

Stand the test of time. Excellent!
Though legislation and time changes, human minds and rules of the game dont. In this book, the great "operator" of the first half of the twentieth century (I really think only Jesse Livermore and Bernard Baruch deserve the honor) talked of his political views, family relationship, and most importantly to trader readers like me, a lot about his "operation". Dont wanna be so hard sell here. However, if you like Reminiscences of a stock operator, you shouldnt miss this. In fact, there are many commonalities between the two, like their strong avoidance of tips and influence of "insiders", searching and acting on facts and facts only, mass psychology as the dominant market driver, demand and supply as the ultimate axiom, extravagant hopes and talk of a "New Era" in advance of financial panics, the seeming almightiness of Morgan, the formation of a pool by a speculative crowd is a sign of weakness, etc etc.

I am quite surprised to have found so few reviews here about this book relative to ROSO. Anyway, dont miss this.

p.s. I would like to quote some paragraphs from the book for your reference.

1. Page 105: Speculator comes from Latin speculari, which means to spy out and observe.... To be successful ....in all human affairs including the making of peace and war, three things are necessary. First, one must get the facts of a situation or problem. Second, one must form a judgement as to what those facts portend. Third, one must act in time before it is too late.

2. Page 183: ...when money came into the hands of people too easily. Such money did not seem real. When men tossed around such huge sums in bets....they had lost all sense of value and of economics. No market in the hands of such people could be a stable or genuine one.....behind their bantering I sensed a feeling of insecurity, as if they were talking strong to cover up their own weaknesses.

3. Page 184: To enjoy the advantages of a free market one must have both buyers and sellers, both bulls and bears. A market without bears would be like a nation without a free press. There would be no one to criticise and restrain the false optimism that always leads to disaster.

4. Page 248: The true speculator is one who observes teh future and acts before it occurs. Like a surgeon he must be able to search through a mass of complex and contradictory details to the significant facts. Then still like the surgeon, he must be able to operate coldly, clearly and skillfully on the basis of the facts before him. What makes this tasks so difficult is that in the stock market the facts of any situation come to us through a curtain of human emotions....how to disentangle the cold, hard economic facts from the rather warm feelings of the people dealing with these facts.

5. Page 318: This test of our ability to govern ourselves is really threefold. First, it is a test of values, of what things we will give up in order to make other things secure. Second, it is a test of our reasoning powers, of whether we have the wit to think our problems through to an effective solution. Third, it is a test of self discipline, of our ability to stand by our values and see our policies through, whatever the personal cost.

A GREAT TALE OF THE "AMERICAN DREAM" COME TRUE
For someone who has made a valuable contribution to American finance and poitics, there is no better person to speak about Baruch than Baruch himself! He has given a very comprehensive record of his life starting from his parents' history to his childhood days, right on to attending college and getting married then onto his career in Wall Street and Government. Baruch mentioned that many people wanted him to write about himself, supposedly that they might find "some short cut, some sure-fire formula for becoming rich." He assures everyone that Wall Street must be treated like any other profession where hard work, patience and cost pays off, not tips and rumors!

Excellent read
A great account of the life of one of the world's most famous investment speculators. Interesting perspective on some of Baruch's contemporaries, notably J.P. Morgan. A reader can also get a glimpse of some of the activities that inspired the insider trading laws that form the foundation for modern securities industry regulation. A very worthwhile book for those interested in finance, investing and history.

Moving, tender tribute and social chronicle
This is the most poignant and introspective memoir this reader can recall having read. Kendall tells her personal and family story, intermingled with social and political history of the American 1950's and '60's, from the time she was born in 1947, until April 3, 1969, when, on the way to a spring vacation on the Gulf coast of Alabama, her mother was the only fatality in a car accident in which Kendall herself was the driver (She and her three brothers and a sister were all injured, but survived.). Kendall's mother, Betty, began her adult life as a young society matron, married at age nineteen to a charming but temperamental and bullying ex-Marine pilot and Harvard graduate (She herself had attended Vassar, but left college to marry, and never finished her degree.). She had six children, but despite the burden she bore at home managing her large family, she evolved into a civic leader and civil rights activist. In the meantime, she and her eldest daughter Elizabeth came to rely on each other as confidantes, companions, and friends. This book is a chronicle of white, middle class American life in the mid-twentieth century, as well as a loving tribute to a mother who was taken much too soon, and is for anyone who has lost a loved one.

A compassionate and informed memoir found the story of Eliz
This story of a mother and a daughter strikes a balance between the personal and the historical in an interesting and informative way . Kendall's honesty , humor and intelligence make a personal story a universal one. I was moved by her descriptions of the intense mother-daughter bond and all of it's ramifications. I would recomend this book highly to anyone interested in women's roles in the last half of the twentieth century.

honest and absorbing
I found this book tremendously interesting and absorbing. It says important, perceptive things about all American mothers and daughters, while describing one specific mother/daughter relationship that was both heroic and tragic. An admirably honest, fascinating book.

Very Inspirational
This book is full of information and inspiration.Once you start reading it, you will not be able to put it down. The writing is excellent and the story enlightening.

An Inspirational Journey
The author brings you along on her profoundly compelling journey from dis-ease to healing. I could not set this book down; each page seemed to evoke questions and thoughts of my own journey. The reader is brought along as the author transcends through all emotions that must be experienced in order to grow. Being recently diagnosed with scleroderma, I found strength and encouragement, as well as insight into my own journey towards healing. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking inspiration.

Awesome Book About the fight against Scleroderma
I picked up this book and it was hard to put it down. It was easy to read, inspirational, educational and heartwarming. I felt her pain and was amazed at how much she had endured and overcome. I was impressed with how she openly shared her life with honesty, humor and unrelenting passion. I highly recommend this book for anyone who needs to be healed.

I'm not a golfer, but even I found this book funny.
This is really an instruction manual on how to play golf. I can bet you've never seen golf played this way before!

The pictures are great, and the explanations are truly hilarious. Recommended for every golfer with a good sense of humor.

Make a "Magic Move," and Get This Book
Leslie Nielson, the king of slapstick comedy, has come out with one of the funniest books that I have ever read. BAD GOLF MY WAY is one of the greatest golf instructional books ever written for the masses...well, minus those 2450 people who actually wish to improve their game.

This book is hysterical and the illustrated pictures are a riot. In this instructional book, Nielson pokes fun at golf by sharing his views and unorthodox approach to the game. His off-the-wall swing and mental aspects are hilarious. He truly is the "Arnold Palmer of Bad Golf."

This book will make you laugh out loud. It is a very quick read, and one of pure enjoyment. This is a must for any golfer. BAD GOLF MY WAY is a hole in one.

Too funny to adequately describe.
A spoof on the typical golf instruction book, this book is organized by chapters such as "The Address" and "The Swing." Here the similarities between other "instructional books" and this one end.My wife hated me while I was reading this book because the shaking bed due to my laughter kept her awake night after night. This and "Missing Links" by Rick Reilly are clearly the funniest golf books in print.

A must-have for young athletes
What an entertaining book! I bought it for my 4-year-old nephew and thoroughly enjoyed reading it myself. (I have to confess that it was fun to find the "quirks" on each page!) Mr. Zeltwanger has skillfully written text appealing to kids but with a message to adults as well. He emphasizes more than simply building athletic skills, touching on the need for practice and perseverance. He even encourages both kids and adults to work on only the fundamentals the child is physically capable of and to hold off on others until the child grows. It certainly is refreshing to find a source that highlights the importance of having fun when playing a sport.

Great Book!!!!
Wow! Mr. Zeltwanger has really done an excellent job of communicating basic fundamentals in a very fun way. I read the book to my daughter once and she now brings it back to me time and time again. I have hopes for my daughter to play basketball, but I want it to be fun and not forced. This book gave me a great way to keep that balance. As a former Pete Maravich award winner (National Christian College Player of the year) I know that the book is teaching solid fundamentals, but it does this in such a fun way that any child will enjoy it. I highly recommend this book for any child wanting to learn how to play basketball.

Best Way to Learn Basketball
Great way to get kids started with basketball and good habits. Easy enough for a Mom to use, but detailed enough for a coach! It also makes a fun reading classroom project because it combines reading this book with sports practice.

The Best Music Bio I've Read!
I've been in love with this woman and her music ever since I saw The Ronettes live at The Brooklyn Fox Theatre in 1964. I was only 15 years old at the time. If you love Ronnie Spector as much as I do, then do yourself a favor and buy this book. It isn't only about music. It is about courage, and the ability to overcome barriers. Very inspirational. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Worth 10 Stars-Required Reading for Ronnie Spector Fans!
This book is even more timely to read now that Ronnie's ex-hubby Phil Spector was arrested the other day for the murder of a woman in his house. It gives great insight not only into Ronnie's life story and rise to stardom but also into Phil's personality and temperament. While there is absolutely no doubt of Phil's musical genius, the man was(and possibly still is)mentally unstable(he claims to be bipolar and does not like to take his meds). I first bought and read this book when it first came out years ago but it is still a great read, one of the very best rock-bios around. It is also a great companion piece to Darlene Love's autobiography. If you are a fan of Phil Spector's Wall of Sound, both books are essential reading. Very highly recommended.

WOW: RONNIE AT LAST!
For Ronnie Spector fans everywhere, this book has it all. Her early days in New York City, the beginning of the Ronettes, their spectacular number 1 hit BE MY BABY, her nightmare of booze and obsession while married to that creep Phil Spector, and her triumphant return to her first love of music and singing. If you want a fascinating look at the girl groups in Rock and Roll history, then you want to read this book. She writes in a down-to-earth way that makes you feel like a good friend is telling you a heart-wrenching story of pain and loss, of fear and courage. Good going, Ronnie! We love you.
