My Good Night Bible
We love this Bible. This is the best Bible we have found for our 3year old daughter. We are very pleased that there is a story on the baptism of the Holy Spirit which is usually overlooked in Bibles for children this small. We definately suggest it!!
She loves it too! She has worn the cover off!

Great book for the younger kids
I got this book for my almost 5-year-old son about a month ago
and he's been asking me to read it to him every night.
He likes to look at the colorful pictures and ask questions
about the characters. The story is a little overly simplified
for the pre-K kids, so I usually go into a little more details
to satisfy his curiosity. However, I like the style of the
writing. Its use of rhythms and repetitive phrases makes the
message easy for the kids to memorize. I'd like to get another
bible with more story telling for him.

Wonderful...
This book has been a great blessing to us. We use it as a birthday gift etc whenever possible. It has always engaged the interest of our son, even though we have gone through the whole book at least three times. In fact he likes it so much that he remembers much of the content...what more could you want...!!

My Goodnight Book
This was my favorite bedtime book as a child. I still have the copy that my parents used to read to me.

Wonderful story & quickly read. Just what parents love.
This book was my middle daughter's favorite. Now its my 2 year olds favorite. A very simple book that is very quick to read. I've read the story so often I know it by heart. Wonderful story of a little girl getting ready to say Goodnight. I love this book as do my two girls.

It gives my daughter a "warm and cozy" feeling.
When we had an unexpected late addition to our family, we dug this book back out and started reading it to her. It wasn't until then that I realized how special this book was. My 9 year old daughter sighed and said, "I love this book. It always gave me such a warm and cozy feeling." What high praise for a book with only seven sentences!

It will go with you in your mind...
By far, one of my favorite books for children. I love reading it to my babies. The text with the beautiful pictures will go with you in your mind forever...

My Great Aunt Arizona
This is a wonderful book. As an elementary teacher I especially enjoy reading it with my students and own a classroom set. It is a beautiful story of a teacher and contains lovely illustrations. It is a sweet depiction of schools and life long ago.

A must read for all (especially teachers)
From the moment I was introduced to this book, I knew I had to have it. It is such a wonderful story of a woman who enjoyed learning and dreamed of travelling to the places she read about only to have circumstances prevent it. She did the next best thing - she became a teacher and inspired countless students to live their dreams. Every teacher should read this - it will reinforce the reasons you entered the profession.

Must read for Dad's
Every father owes it to their children to help them understand who they are and who they where before they became fathers. This message hit home for me after reading Paul's book. Life is short and we have to enjoy it with the people we love and Paul's book reminds me with his near death experiences and love for his wife and children.

Breath of Fresh Air
I met Paul Sweeney when he was on KXTV Channel 10 promoting his book and I picked up a copy. What a breath of fresh air! His book was action packed but also had some wonderful little tid bits of life's lessons that he is teaching his kids. There are a few things there that I can teach mine. I especially liked to section about "God and the tickets." I recommend this to anyone who likes adventure stories and/or has kids (which is an adventure itself)!

I enjoyed every page.
Honestly written from the heart to his two chiledren, this book is a must read for any age. Sweeney's style of writing captivates its audience into exploring his experiences, and gaining insight and wisdom from them.

My Healing Heart - A Monthly Account of the First Year of Grieving

For anyone in the grieving process...
Barbara Cheris' book is a compansionate portrayal of a very difficult journey. Anyone facing losing a spouse would certainly benefit from reading this journal. Cheris shows great personal strength and courage and we all have a lot to learn from her.

Truly Healing
"My Healing Heart" is a beautifully written, sensitive account of the first year experience of a widow's coming to grips with life after a beautiful marriage. Ms. Cheris describes the challenges and emotional trials of being alone. This book can serve as a manual for the grieving partner or just as an inspirational book to show the strength of caracter one needs to build life anew. We are so glad that we ordered it and recommend it highly.

My Healing Heart... a heartwarming journal of widowhood
My Healing Heart had my heart breaking and feeling warmth at the same time. An easy to read monthly journal that highlights the difficult challenges a life partner must face after saying goodbye. It contrasts the fragility of the heart with the strength of the human spirit to carry on. I hope to not have to face the inevitability of losing a spouse for a long, long time. However, this personal story proves that a person can indeed overcome loss and create his or her own life after that final goodbye. I recommend it highly!

the blu dog diarie
when i first wrote in this diary i felt like the book was under- standing my feelings because it's really colorful and it has a lot of cool pictures of animals and you can even make them talk you can draw your favorite pictures because there is alot of blank space and write your favorite jokes because there is a jokes section and i couldn't believed at first but there is even an album, where you can put your favorite pictures.

it's just really really cool.

My heart 2 heart diary
these books are really intresting and fun to write in, or if you dont want to write you can fill in word bubbles and draw in this. it is really cool and encorages you to write and keep a diary!

The best, most creative diary EVER!
This was the best, most creative diary that I have EVER owned! At 13, I've had quite a few diaries, but I always seemed to get bored with them, and never finish writing in them. But this diary is creative, spunky, and really over the top (I mean, who would think of putting animals in a diary, and you making them talk?) Plus, you get lots of empty space for pictures, and drawings, thats good if you don't feel like writing. A surefire hit with me.

Great book
This book is about a young girl who loves to spend time with her Hippie Grandmother. She enjoys eating cracked-wheat-and-honey bread and singing Amazing Grace with her. She loves everything about her Hippie Grandmother and wants to be just like her when she grows older. I absolutely love this book. It is very cute and children can relate to it in many ways.

CATCHY RHYMES AND COLORFUL ILLUSTRATIONS
With catchy rhyme and colorful illustrations Reeve Lindbergh (daughter of aviator/author Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh) offers a feel-good story about a grandparent/grandchild relationship.
The story begins with:
"I have a hippie grandmother.
I'm really glad she's mine.
She hasn't cut her hair at all
Since nineteen sixty-nine."

From there we learn that Grandma drives a purple bus, and has a cat named Woodstock. Naturally, her bedroom is decorated with "Love" and "Flower Power" posters, and she grows her own vegetables.

Throughout there are happy scenes of grandma and granddaughter enjoying happy times together, whether it's selling vegetables at the local farmer's market or picketing for peace.

"My Hippie Grandmother" is a delightful reminder of the love they feel for one another.

- Gail Cooke

Hurah For Flower Power
My Hippie Grandmother is a winner from start finish. A clever rhyming text and bright colorful illustrations make this story about a young girl's devotion to her Grandmother a total delight. Children will love the text and illustrations. Adults will have a chuckle over the idea of the flower power generation becoming grandparents.

Life is Beautiful when you fight to change the world!
The phrase "Life is Beautiful" in the Italian film came from one of Trotsky's diaries, written in exile, when Trotsky's friends, family, and comrades were being harassed, slandered and murdered by Stalin, when he himself faced imminent assasination. Read this book and you will see how Trotsky's life became valuable for him because he decided to fight oppression, decided to learn about the world to fight, and never stopped fighting. Maybe your life can be beautiful if you read this book, and decide to fight like Trotsky did.
The introduction by the late Joseph Hansen Trotsky's secretary in Mexico is worth the price of the book. Joe explains how the household and work center in Mexico functioned, about how Trotsky valued hard work, but also valued celebrating comrades birthdays, hobbies like raising rabbits, trips to sites of Mexican history. Reading this also tells you how Joe organized the staff at World Outlook/ Intercontinental Press

Against mystification.
When I decided to write this review, I had to choose between the various reasons why it's so beautiful and important. But, above all, I think that, in a world where the necessity of Marxist was supposedly to be more deeply felt than ever, what repels most people that would be liable to lend an ear to it is the repelling Stalinist mythology of the revolutionary as the relentless, ruthless, single-minded, google-eyed fanatical. Trotsky, on the contrary begins by assessing that, although his life was out of the ordinary, he neverthless remained a men with a penchant for a well-ordered ordinary life; that he found pleasure in seeing a well-ordered table or a well-kept fence; that he didn't becomne a revolutionary out of a feeling of opression, but because of being faced with a life that, although prosperous, offered him nothing but grey drudgery and no opprtunity for individual achievement; that he, like all revolutionaries, was a man like any other. I think that would be reason enough to commend this modern classic to the reader of today, outside from the wonderful style, the importance of the events narrated and so much else.

Not great history but readable autobiography
Leon Trotsky was a Bolshevik revolutionary who helped overthrow the Provisional Government and to institute the rule of what was to be Communism in Russia. He joined the Bolsheviks late just prior to the October revolution prior to that he had been a Menshevik. As a Menshevik he had been prominent in the 1905 uprising and had been one of its key figures.

Trotsky was a journalist but he was an inspirational speaker. He was one of the most important players in the coup which resulted in the take over of power in 1917. He turned out not only to be a talented revolutionary but he founded the Red Army and was able to ensure victory of the Soviet regime in the Russian Civil War.

After the war he was generally thought likely to be the successor of Lenin. He however expected the leadership to be given to him on a platter. His rivals Kamanev, Zinoviev and Stalin were more cunning than him and ousted him from power. He traveled he world and eventually settled in Mexico.

Trotsky became one of the Soviets most ardent critics and developed a theory that it had spawned a new form of ""bureaucratic government". He wrote tirelessly and tried to set up a communist movement in opposition to the Stalinist model. In Russia Stalin used his existence as a basis for creating a fictitious opposition and murdered thousands of suspected "Trostkyites".

Trotsky was not only a figure of importance but he was a skilled writer and his autobiography is well written and in parts both touching and amusing. It however gives a somewhat sanitized picture of a violent period in Russia's history. The use of terror and the role of security services are downplayed.

The book however is easy to read and gives a insight into the thought process of the revolutionary mind.

A Wonderful Story
Alexandria and Drakes story is great. Alex stows away on Drakes ship so she can escape the trials of the Season and to go visit her father. Drake is a strong willed man and is shocked to find her on board his ship. In the end he takes her to Canada and to her father the govenor there. He is less then please with his daughter and forces her to marry Drake.

This story has it all. Romance, Suspense, and the magic that you can find in between the pages of an Andrea Kane book. Take the time to read this story you won't be disappointed.

I found myheart's desire in My Heart's Desire...
I am an avid Romance reader, and i especially enjoy regency romances. This is the first novel i have read by Andrea Kane, and i enjoyed it so much that i plan to purchase all her novels and read them as well. In My heart's desire, Kane is not afaraid in letting the couple go through experiences together, feel adventure, travel. Many regency romances are the same, with the hero and heroine staying in London. This book was a breath of fresh air. The love scenes are also exceptional.

A Wonderful Story
I have never been so completely enveloped into a story! Andrea Kane's writing is phenomenal. I fell in love with both characters. I would recommend this book to every historical romance lover!

Searching
This is an awesome book I had as a child. My older sister was very Icky and Picky and both of us have been searching for this book and it has been very unsuccessful. If you have one hold on to it, because as you can see they are hard to come across. I wish I had held on to mine to pass on to my child and nieces and nephews.

Great Book!
This is a super book! I still have my copy from when I was a child. It is a little worn because it was my favorite book. I have two sisters and icky picky fit them both! It is now my youngest childs favorite book. We read it 4-5 times a day sometimes. It's a really cute book, if you can find a copy.

Great Book
I had a copy of this book when I was kid. I loved it and read it all the time. I still call my older sister - Icky Picky! And she still gets mad!!! I wish I still had my copy - I can't believe it's out of print. If you have it, hold onto it! It's a great book.
