This is an excellent reference text for the beginner or experienced practitioner. It is well organized and offers quick and concise information.The self-assessment sections at the end of each chapter are particulaly useful for the student and when preparing for examinations.

The review cards were an easy, convenient way to study for the NCLEX. We were able to split them up between our study group and take them anywhere.

During the landscaping of our new home, I used this book continually to get a concise review of the plants I was finding at the nursery and that our landscape designer recommended. However, I found that for long-term care we needed a more detailed reference.

Hay, Do you remember that archaic and primitive operating system DOS? Well it is still lurking around in communications packages. And I is about to stay around until it can be replace with another low-level operating system that does not divorce you from the com port or equivalent. So it would behoove you to keep a copy of this book around for those strange occasions that some one asks, "what is the invisible DOS command?" found on page 175.

This book tells how to get pictures, a bitmap reader. Also, cut, copy and paste. The book is very interesting. You can learn how to open a file from a folder without typing the path. It has good demos.

This is a great book for those people out there who have learned all that the beginner's QBasic or Visual Basic for DOS book can teach them. The first few chapters are dedicated to a quick review, and then the book jumps right into the tough stuff, with everything from graphics to Fourier Transforms and even a little bit on assembly language programming! My only gripe is that the book requires a lot of time to sit and read and finally get it all. It's almost as if another book is needed to bridge the gap between the beginner's book and this one, but this one is very understandable if you have lots of time to put into it. It's a valuable addition to my library!

I have been working with computers since 1978, and thought one of the best OS's (for the PC) was & still is, DOS. While not giving great detail on the inner workings of DOS, "Voodoo Dos" gave great insite on how to get the job done using DOS. Highly recommended, if you have to use the DOS prompt.

What a lovely tale. Definitely get the other two books as well--HUSBAND ON DEMAND and BRIDE ON LOAN--and curl up with these three charming heroines (and heroes!) on a snowy day.

I find the book to be very well written and the programs easy to use. The setup screens are very intuitive and the solutions quite detailed. The text assumes that the student is already quite familiar with the undelying math and therefore is light on clear detailed explanations of the process.
I find it frustrating that there is no "Technical Support" website or phone number. There appears to be an error in the calculation of the Utilization factor RHO and a software malfunction in the same step. The value continues to increase as you repetively cycle beteen screens. This is clearly a malfunction but in addition the value for Rho is not Lamda/Mu-- the calculated value appears to be in error. How do I contact the author concerning this problem? IF any reader knows how to solve this problem or can otherwise help, I would appreciate it.
