Very accurate and complete
I found this book in the Adult Video Warehouse in Boynton Beach, FL and then saw it on Amazon. This book is strictly a reference work, no narrative, but the book is very useful if you are a business traveler. The tasteful cover and interior make the book presentable in an office or on a plane. They even had a listing for a club in Enid, OK where I went on my last trip. A must for the frequent male traveler. The book also has its own web site.

legal advocate
This book is really the best I've seen. It's so well written and easy to use for any age and several different applications. It is great for school prevention education. It can be used in the home for early childhood awareness and parent bonding. In a theraputic setting it helps to explain to young victims the dynamics of abuse and healing. I can also be used for parents and PTA type groups to educate the general public in sexual abuse, and to use in the court setting to educate jurors and attorneys as to how this type of crime happens. The special appeal also to parents who may have boy children who have been abused is valuable.

World Wide Gardening.
I have Nancy Brachey's Guide to Piedmont Gardening on my coffee table, and in the nights, after a day in my Nordic garden I love to look in it.

Piedmont is far, far from Mid-Norway where I live, and many of Nancy's suggestions will never work in my area. Other suggestions are perfect, and this shows me that gardening is a joy we can share world wide.

Nancy Brachey is the garden editor of The Charlotte Observer for 25 years. Though Nancy's area is a southern one, Nancy travels worldwide and has a very special eye for gardens - I believe the English and the Italian ones are her favorites. She picks up ideas on her travels and bring them back to Carolina for her neighbours to enjoy. The Guide book is a month-by-month guide stuffed with practical tips for big and small gardeners. Your garden can be a huge and unique one, or it can be just a tiny little spot right outside your kitchen door. Nancy has information for both, and invites us to join her in her love of gardening.

The book is filled with drawings and pictures. For a Norwegian like me I sometimes would love more color pictures to recognize the plants she is talking about, but her ton รก ton green pictures have their very special charm.

I'm moving to a new house with a bigger garden these days, and Nancy's book will move with me and have it's natural place on my new coffee table. Thanks Nancy for sharing your love of gardening.

Satisfying Historical Work and Unconventional Guidebook
A hitherto neglected topic among the plethora of Natchez books is the return of a measure of economic prosperity during the 1870s, 1880s, and 1890s, and the efforts to maintain that prosperity during the early decades of the Twentieth Century. Using a remarkable collection of wet-plate photographs that span three generations of Natchez photographers and nearly one hundred years, the Gandys illustrate the effects this new-found prosperity had upon the built environment of downtown Natchez, Mississippi. With careful research evident the book makes succinct comments about these photographs. Besides the changing buildings and transportation modes the selected photographs include frequent, compelling human vignettes--merchants, workers, shoppers, parade watchers and participants--the myriad of human activity that swirled about downtown Natchez. Although this is not a book of Natchez houses, it complements such books by detailing the area and eras in which the post-bellum residents shopped and worked. I consider NATCHEZ CITY STREETS REVISITED an altogether satisfying historical document and one whose photographs will serve as a delightful, if unconventional, guide to the structures--extant and extinct--of downtown Natchez.

24 Inspiring Courageous Stories
Words cannot describe the impact this book had on me after reading it. Author Jackie Waldman has compiled twenty-four of the most inspiring and touching stories of people with MS, and the effect the disease has on both the person with MS and their families and friends.

I purchased this book because my husband Anthony Zaremba was one of the featured people in the book. As I read the profiles of the others, my emotions ran through a gambit of highs and lows. At times while reading the book, I filled the pages with my own teardrops, and often laughter, as I read of the fortitude and courage that the people in this book exemplify.

If you know of anyone with MS, or if you have MS, place this book on your "must read" list. Best of all, Jackie Waldman's proceeds from this book are being donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Thank you Jackie! I give this book five stars!!

Excellent resource for Nurse Practitioner Prescribers
The book is a little pricey but well worth the investment. It really covers everything you need to prescribe safely and effectively. It is one of the few books that I have seen that includes cultrual and ethnic influences, nutrition therapy, complementary medicine, and OTC's all together. It also reviews drugs by body system, age category, gender and multidrug therapy. This book allows you to get all your information in one place. It also covers legal and professional issues and prescribing unique to the Nurse Practitioner role. It has lots of tables packed with information and even comes with a CD-ROM. A great book for the student NP, newly practicing NP or even the experienced NP. I highly recommend this book.
