An enjoyable read.
The art was fun to look at. The stories were simple, fun, and silly. Nothing classic here, but still I found it to be quite entertaining. I will read more of Mr. Monster in the future.

Good job Mr. Gilbert on reviving a very obscure character who only appeared in one story many decades ago.

Mr. Moto In Manchuria
This book is an exciting thriller written by a Pulitzer Prize-winning author. Most of the story takes place on a trip by two young Americans to Ghuru Nor in Mongolia prior to World War II.

Detective Penguin Strikes again!
I like Mr. Pin in all of his books. This book was good because there was two mysteries in it. A Case of Stolen Eggs was my favorite part of the book because someone tries to knock Mr. Pin off the trail by putting grit in a cake

Fascinating, but flawed
Sarah McClendon's memoir of her 60+ years covering the Presidency is by turns fascinating and frustrating. You get some insider details and a feel for the era--somewhat. You're witness to some funny and sometimes unexpectedly revealing stories about her encounters with various Presidents. Even if you're die hard liberal (like McClendon), you'll find her stories about Nixon and Bush the Elder affecting and human. Alas, there's not as much here as I'd like about the real business of being a correspondent, or enough on the actual press conferences she participated in. There are snippets, some sharp exchanges, but there should be more. The book might have also benefited from "other voices"--interviews with or reminiscences by those who worked with McClendon or who were the target of her laser beam-like questioning. Still, this is an entertaining look at Washington, from someone who trod the boards there for over half a century.

Wow! I remember that!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, but for more reasons than its fun-ness. I'm in it! I'm that same ditzy art teacher who left the kiln on. It's really fun for me to see all of the people who I worked with while I was an art instructor at that school. I always tell my kids stories that I can remember from those days, and now I don't need to exagerate my memory. Here they all are. In a book. With me in it (albeit briefly). What fun!

Mr Right is all wrong! Highly recommended
The Personal Touch miniseries has been particularly entertaining, sharing the premise that a personal ad in Attitudes, a hot magainze for twenty-somethings, brings lovers together. Kate Hoffmanmn's use of the personals, however, is uniquely original.

Nina Forrester's weekends typically consist of peanut butter M&Ms and rented videos. As a fact checker for Attitudes, Nina spends most of her time researching on the Internet, at the library, or making calls. Four couples in the past year met through the personal ads and have married. Nina wants to pitch an article about it, using an ad of her own to further her experience, hoping to win a promotion to assistant editor. However, a potential buyout of Attitudes may have Nina in an unemployment line instead.

Multimillionaire Cameron Ryder is simply a geek who made good. He hasn't the patience for slick women, fancy lifestyles, and the high powered games most of his new peers enjoy. His chance meeting with Nina in a coffee shop has him hoping for another encounter soon, despite the damage to his wardrobe when she pours coffee all over his five-hundred dollar shirt. Once she mentions the ogre who may buy the magazine, however, Cameron introduces himself as Jack Wright, hoping to be Mr. Right before Nina learns who he really is!

This comedic romp will keep the giggles coming. While the accidents of disaster feels a bit extreme, the humorous results are worth it. Indeed, the colorful personalities and attitudes will have the reader laughing all the way through. Highly recommended.

fun "little" book
Sure the authoress is a harpie, but it still is a funny read. Profanity is used to be "edgy" and "cool," but comes off way more comical!

Mr. Slef b y Ralph Mattson
Where is your treasue? Here, heaven? ALL of the treasures of this life will eventually be gone; however, there is one treasure that we can have for all time. This book is a very poignant reminder of this fact. Very well written. It appears to be written for children, but is not necessarily intended for children.

Mr. Strong
Published in Hardcover by Bt Bound (November, 1999)
Author: Roger Hargreaves
Amazon base price: $10.65
Average review score:

He is so strong that he always breaks things.
This is the story of Mr. Strong.

Mr. Strong is the strongestperson in the whole wide world. Mr. Strong gets his power from eating eggs and more eggs.

This is part of the Mr. Men series. There are many other Mr. Men books available. These are great books for kids. The Mr. books are just the right length to read two of them to kids at bedtime, and they all teach some important lesson.

Most of the Mr. Men books have other Mr. Men in them, but this book only has Mr. Strong, a farmer, and a couple people that he meets in the town.

Of the Mr. Men books that I have read, I would not recommend this one, it it not the best work by Roger Hargreaves. I would recommend Mr. Tall before buying this one. If you do buy a Mr. Men book, then you should get a couple because they are very small.
