What a great book!
This was a wonderful story. As I read on I started to fall in love with the characters. The relationship between the hero and the heroine and her niece and her grandmother was wodnderful.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
"A LITTLE SECRET" is really the basis of this great story -- [from the back of the book] CHRISTIAN ELLIOTT has a lot to learn! -- Christian knows about money, million-dollar contracts and hard-line negotiations. But he doesn't know anything about family, babies or love. Then some unfinished business takes him to the home of his dead wife's sister........BETH ANN BELLAMY is the woman who's going to teach him! -- Beth Ann gave up a promising career to take care of her elderly grandmother and the daughter her sister abandoned. Then her sister's husband shows up, and Beth Ann starts to wonder if the truth of her sister's child will tear her perfect family apart. Before long, Beth Ann realizes that if she wants to keep her family together, Christian Elliott will have to be part of it Now she has to figure out how to convince him! ----------------a great story and you may have a hard time pinpointing the villian? Hard to put the book down

A unique, moving story
There's something about Susan Floyd's books that simply delights me--maybe it's the down-to-earth characters, maybe the humor, maybe the joyous spirit of the writer showing through--whatever it is, I am hooked.

Despite the title, this book is sassy, funny, heartfelt, and hard-hitting. This is a writer who is breaking new ground and going far.--Carolyn Woolston

F.C.O. For Chocoholics Only
This book is filled with delicious recipes for chocolate lovers. It will satisfy evryone's taste buds. With over a hundred recipes from pastries to desserts, you could practically make a whole meal from chocolate with this book! It is a must for the true chocoholic!

Another Mr. Food Classic!
This is another terrific cookbook from Mr. Food! We have tried a ton of his recipes in this house and they have all been delicious and the ones in this book are no exception. Included is a nice variety of tempting treats from the really decadent to those which tantalize the taste buds with a hint of chocolate, such as Chocolate Dipped Fruit and the Chocolate Pound Cake. Unfortunately, nutritional information is not included with the recipes, but let's be honest, if you are using this book, you probably aren't too concerned about nutritional information, just excellent tasting recipes. Something Mr. Food is an expert at giving! A nice addition to the book is the front section which gives information on types and forms of chocolate, proper ways to store it, and clever ways to garnish it. A perfect way to start you on your road to chocolate bliss!

A Chocolate Lovers Dream
In this book, Art Ginsburg prepares a chocolate lovers dream! Mr. Food has earned the title Mr. Everything. His award winning style is also brought into this book. Over 125 recipies (many have been prepared in our house). Art Ginsburg covers breakfast pastries to dinner deserts using this favorite food! Most are made easily with common household ingredients. He's a native of my small hometown, Troy NY, and his style is loved from small hometown to the big city! Excellent book, Highly recommended.

Mr. Undesirable
Scott Carpenter's book, Mr. Undesirable, is wonderful. His main character, Lenny Kapowski, is so well developed that I felt like I knew him. The story basically draws the reader in on pape one. Those of you who were teenagers in the 1980s will relate, in some way, to what happens to Lenny and the emotions he feels about it. There were so many sections where Scott's book had me laughing out-loud. Just remembering those parts makes me smile, they were so funny. This book is well worth the expense. I see myself reading it over and over again.

Incredible!
This story is the sacred writ for all of us "dirt poor, foul mouthed, porn addicted, binge drinking malcontents." It's an incredibly funny first person account of Lenny Kapowski's quest for revenge.
The characters are entirely believable. The dialogue isn't forced, or cleaned up for that matter. You will find yourself, or at least a small part of yourself, in at least one character in this book. Hopefully not Creepy Pete though. Every character is complete, without being "over-described." The reader is still able to use their imagination.

I could not stop reading Mr. Undesirable, the tale took me through the entire emotional spectrum, though most of the time I was clutching my side in delighted agony. Laughing that much can be really painful, ya know?!?! Plus I was able to add volumes of obscenities to my vocabulary, which was not limited by any stretch of the imagination!

I loved this book, I recommend it to everyone!

Splendifirous
As a proofreader for this book, my opinion is biased, but since I spent the better part of a year watching Scott develpoing Lenny and the crew I feel that I know the text better than most. It is a great book about love, betrayal, revenge, deception and lots of humor. Bombastic Psycho-sexualism with perverse retributionistic overtones. LOL

Brilliant. Absolutely hillarious satire
Sterne befuddles and delights readers and critics alike in A Sentimental Journey. He takes the fashionable travel log of the time and satarizes it. Contemporary critics had a fit over its supposedly bawdy nature, yet some modern readers may over look its sublte innuendo. The form of the novel is quite unlike anything that had preceeded it, thus is important for any scholars. Most importanly, however, the book is funny and fun to read.

Only clay-cold heads and luke-warm hearts can resist it
A Sentimental Journey is a fabulous book for so many reasons. Laurence Sterne was an immensely influential writer in the 18th century--his major works, Sentimental Journey and Tristram Shandy, were responses to the travel narrative and newly born novel, respectively. His writing is essential to scholars of the 18th century--he is referenced in Austen's Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey, Brown's The Power of Sympathy, Foster's The Coquette and Tyler's The Contrast. To understand and appreciate his novel is to have a better appreciation and love of the works that built their structures on his foundation. And yet it is original, as Yorick says himself, "both my travels and observations will be altogether of a different cast from any of my fore-runners."

Yet it is not solely for historical benefit that one should read Sentimental Journey. The adventures and amours of Sterne's semi-autobiographical Yorick are delightful. One of the most romantic passages I've read in a book occurs when Yorick inadvertantly takes the hand of a woman and describes in detail the thrill of merely holding it. Granted, hers is not the only hand he will hold, but he writes so wonderfully, candidly and engagingly that it is extremely difficult to hold his passions against the sentimental Yorick. His scene with the starling locked in a cage is pertinent and a touching commentary on slavery. What a guy! My only complaint is the editor of this edition does not feel it necessary to translate the French-of which there is plenty-making some passages difficult to understand at best. However, this is a sentimental journey that I will gladly take over and over.

The amorous adventures of a gentleman in 18th century France
This autobiographical acount by Sterne of his amorous progress through France and Northern Italy is surely one of the most delightful books ever written. Composed as he lay dying of tuberculosis, the book nonetheless encaptures the author's renowned zest for life as well as the libertine spirit of the age in which he lived. The journey down through France to Northern Italy is the perfect vehicle for an excursion into the nature of human sensibility, and from the moment that this cultured Anglo-Irish cleric sets foot in Calais, the reader is treated to a seies of exquisite encounters with the fairer sex. Rarely has an author transmitted so well his understanding of the psychological complexity of women, or the pleasure he takes in their company. Engaging, perceptive and witty, this is a book whiich cannot fail to leave an imprint on the imagination.

mysteriously fun reading
I bought this book for my 8 year old daughter. She was thrilled with it. I couldn't believe how excited she was when she solved the mysteries on her own. We had hours of fun reading it together and applying the clues to get the answers. It is just like the board game.

A great set of mini mysteries!!
I couldn't believe how good this book was. I got it because I don't get to play the game much. When I read it was like I was in Boddy mansion itself I could see miss. White cleaning the floors. I also reccomend you seethe movie try to see all three endings!!!

Learning experience
The popular Parker Bros. board game "Clue" comes to life in this first installment of a series of mystery stories for children of all ages. There are ten short stories, each with a whodunnit to solve. Not all the mysteries involve murder, so it is a healthier reading material than it may seem. The good this book provides to children is honing on the ability to observe clues and eliminate all erroneous possibilities until only one logical solution comes to surface. Was it Miss Scarlet with the Rope in the Lounge? Col. Mustard with the Revolver in the Study? Mrs. White with the Cnadlestick in the Dining Room? Mr. Green with the Wrench in the Billiard Room? Mrs. Peacock with the Knife in the Conservatory? Or Prof. Plum with the Lead Pipe in the Library? Turn the page and find out!

As Plum said, this is where I'm at my funniest.
Quate. I especially like the Hollywood stories - Plum's Revenge.

The single uproarious book that I've come across
Exceptionally witty. Very relaxing -- read it on the night prior of my Ph.D. Candidacy exam at Princeton. If I had to select only one book, this certainly would be it.

The single funniest book I have ever read!!
There are so many levels on which this book is funny. Wodehouse's use of the language is wonderful, the characters are amusing yet sympathetic, and the plots are hysterically funny. Not to be missed!!

This Is A VEry GoOd bbbbbbbbbbbooooooooooooooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!ReAd THIs oR YoU WiLl DiE

Reads like a good movie.
I liked this book. It was a quick read and very easy to get lost in. Others I have loaned it to have easily finished it in one or two sittings. It is a little bloody and the language is rough in spots, but as a movie it would PG-13.

Young Mr.Hodson
I loved this book. Jack Deremiah is my uncle and I am so proud of him. This book may have a few cuss words, but over all I loved it. I just couldn't put it down. Read this book. I promise, it's worth the money and the wait.

Personality and plums
I have the fortune of working with Amy Schwartz and was absolutely DELIGHTED to learn that she was the brain behind this particular book. I remember seeing it for the first time on Reading Rainbow as a kid and loved it. It's a humorous look at the age-old gripe between adults and kids: children who want to be grown up and grown ups who want to stay children. Well written and with simple art that is reminiscent of early American black-and-white engravings, BEA AND MR. JONES is a sweet story that should be read by every kid, young and old.

This book is excellent.
I think this book is a fun kid's book.It is well expressed like many of the other books Amy Schwartz has written. It is a fun short book. My favorite charecter is Bea. This book is about Bea and her father Mr. Jones. They don't like what they do so they switch jobs.

Sure everybody loves them.....
This book does have alot of great recipes in it, but that is because they are old standbys, at least at my house. I do enjoy the fact that it has the nutritional information listed, which I wish more recipe books would follow suit. And the little tips at the bottom of each page are interesting. Most all of the recipes are fairly simple and this would be a great starter book.

Amazing Book for weight loss
This book has been a blessing to me. Having lost some weight, I really wanted a book that emphasized great food and low cal. What better way than a book for diabetics. An easy way to reduce sugar and calories, even though I am not diabetic. And who better to bring you great food and EASY to prepare food than MR Food. I immediately made the chicken cordon bleu. Swore I'd never have time to prepare it late one evening and feed 3 starving children. Yet somehow it came together in 30 minutes and tasted amazing....better to me than restaurant eats and so easy! My picky kids loved it as well as the steak tips recipe....and they dislike veggies normally!

The Greatest cookbook ever
This is the greatest cookbook I ever brought and I recommend everyone who like delicous desserts there are some as Mr Food would say Oooh it's so gooood. I just got this book this week and it makes a great Holiday gift. And you don't have to be a diabetic to enjoy this good food.

I think it's good, because it's really colorful.
They all go to the Boddy Mansion, and Mr. Boddy dies, because of...well, I won't tell the answer. I recommend this book highly.

Clue is my hero
Being that I am eighteen years old, not many people would think that I still read Clue books, but I really think they are the best. It forces you to think and use your mind, something I don't do enough of, haha! Plus you can make it in to a party game, I know I have. Just get some friends together, get out pencil and paper, and have someone read the mystery. Go up to the reader at the end, whisper the answer (or write it down) and then if it's correct give them a prize, and/or let them read the next one. A great way to be with friends and family. I recommend not only this book, but the whole series.

What happens when Mr. Boddy has 6 guests at his mansion?
A SURE HIT WITH MYSTERY FANS OF ALL AGES! MURDER AT ITS BEST. STILL, IT DOES HAVE COMIC RELIEF. A GREAT BOOK. READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM 8 YEARS OLD.
