Perfect for your boy
When I was in elementary school, and mostly hanging around the library shelves near Charlie's Factory and Encyclopedia Brown's garage, my librarian handed me this book, and I realized how much of the unexposed portions of the library had the potential to be this wonderful!

It tells the story of a travelling magician in the old west and his family as they set out from city to city putting on shows and having the most humorus and delightful adventures along the way. Particularly for those interested in magic, it will entrance the curious and amuse those looking to be entertained.

A warm and fuzzy childhood memory waiting to happen!
I am 19 and I still love this book (as well as all of the Mr.Man collection)! I recently found it amongst some of my old childhood possessions, and it immediately brought a smile to my face! When I was little, my mother let me pick out new Mr.Man books as rewards for good behavior- this was quite exciting for me and I always had trouble choosing which one I wanted the most! I hope kids today still love these books as much as I did. Mr.Jelly has a particularly good message for little ones who are afraid of the dark, mysterious noises,or just about anything, really. Mr.Jelly is a nervous, jumpy blob who gets frightened at the snap of a twig. However, while on a walk one day he runs into a kind soul who used to have the same problem and he gets some good advice. This book has a great message, absolutely adorable illustrations, and it is sure to become a warm and fuzzy childhood memory for any kid who cherishes the Mr.Man books the way I did!

Mr. Nice Guy
In Mr. Nice Guy, Simon Camden meets a "prospective new girlfriend." His impression of her is all mixed up: would she make a good girlfriend or not? Ruthie Camden decides to find out about the future by calling a "sidekick" (psychic). Lucy Camden runs some problems with a boy she is dating. There are even more things happening, but I suggest you read the book to find out what they are! If you like 7th Heaven, or even if you know nothing about it, you should read this book. It's fantastic!

good for teaching ESL
Written in a simple pattern consisting of "Mr. Noisy" as the subject, a predicate noun in the past tense, and an object. So this is a good supplement for a lesson on the past tense.

kids think this book is funny
In this book--written in a simple repeated pattern like most of Williams' books--Mr. Noisy clicks his heels, sings boisterously, and drives noisy vehicles. If you like to amuse children, get this book. "What Do You See?" is good, too.

good for teaching ESL
Although intended as a lesson on occupations, the book also serves a purpose in the ESL classroom. The book is written in a simple pattern which renders it easily comprehensible by ESL students. ("Who helps Mr. Noisy find a good book? The librarian.") So it could also supplement a lesson on the interrogative form.
Watch the price, though; the book is only 16 pages.
