Bravo!
As the table of contents, disguised as a playbill, informs the reader, "The Globe Theatre is proud to present a new season of Mr. William Shakespeare's plays." So come one, come all and take your seats as author, Marcia Williams, presents seven famous plays, As You Like It, Antony and Cleopatra, Richard III, Twelfth Night, King Lear, The Merchant of Venice and Much Ado About Nothing, in comic book format. Each "performance" is broken down into three parts: Shakespeare's actual words, spoken by the actors on stage, the plot of the story told in crisp, clear and uncomplicated text beneath the pictures and the often amusing and sometimes important remarks made by the audience as they watch. The illustrations of each play are colorful, easy to follow and packed with marvelous detail that catches the readers' eye and propels the story forward. Bravo, Mr William Shakespeare is a wonderful and enjoyable introduction to the Bard's plays that takes you back to their original setting at the Globe, in the mid-1500s and is an evocative experience that's sure to whet the appetite of young readers. "The audience is asked to refrain from throwing hard objects at the performers. Rotten fruit only, please. Beware of pickpockets!" Read, learn and enjoy!

Building a House with Mr Bumble

Tools for Tots
What a delightful book. Designed to be very interactive, a task is described (e.g., cutting a piece of wood) and the child selects which tool would be appropriate for the job (e.g., saw). The fold-out page then confirms the answer. Great for do-it-yourselfers who want to train their children how to hand them the proper tools. I bought several copies for the children of my favorite "handy-men."

The Carthaginian Peace: Or, the Economic Consequences of Mr. Keynes

Debunking the myth of Versailles
Everyone knows that the Versailles Treaty was a failure, or was it?

For 20 years after the peace the predictions of Lord Keynes that the treaty would fail were believed, and to some extent it did, but only because his very prediction resulted in the disunity amongst the Allies that rendered the treaty impotent.

Far from beggaring Germany during the inter-war period as Keynes suggested it would, Mantoux shows that the actual reparation payments were near insignificant with respect to what was spent on the rebuilding of the infrastructure that finally gave rise to the Nazi war machine, and that many of those things that we blame on the treaty are a result of the non-application of the treaty terms.

Sadly, Mantoux died a hero in the final days of the Second World War. He lived fighting the injustice done to the Versailles peace and died fighting the consiquences of this injustice.

One of the best novels I have read. Base on a true story and should have been compulsory reading at school!

Invaluable (for a specialized readership)
This book is of interest for those already running MR perfusion studies (for sharing the experience of the authors - especially Part 1: Technical Considerations), and it would be a most invaluable resource to those who intend to do it in the near future. The technical part is especially well written and provides objective answers to important practical issues such as MR parameters, optimum use of contrast agents, and post-processing of images.

Yet again, Brilliant!
Anything that Kugler writes is brilliant, insightful, and well written. I've used many of his books in my classes and my students are usually blown away. Now if I can only get him to come lecture for my senior seminar...

MRI The Fastest Growing Thing
MRI has emerged as the most beautiful imaging technique. This book offers the enhanced version of MRI, added with the latest information about MRI including HASTE, EPI and fMRI. I recommend this book for all new MRI users and experienced. A good reference to almost everything and something more that used to be irrelevant with MRI. Try breast imaging and trauma. Fast imaging made them possible.

A very informative and well put together book
James David Davis did an excellent job of putting together information for the novelty phone collector. Great pictures along with clear, concise information make this book a must-have for anyone who collects novelty phones. I refer to this book almost daily! It's very well thought out, with different chapters and categories which make it extremely easy to use and reference. It covers not only working phones, but also phone collectibles, such as miniatures, and toy phones as well. With the limited amount of reference books out there geared toward the novelty phone collector, it is very refreshing to not only have this book available, but also have it written by someone who is himself a novelty phone enthusiast. I am looking forward to his next book.
