Muy practico y muy facil de entender, con este curso he aprendido como manejar cualquier herramienta de Word con pasos sencillos y bien explicados. Es necesario seguir la practica y las evaluaciones, pero finalmente resultan una bendicion. Todo queda grabado en la mente, y nunca mas se olvida. Un buen companero para tener al lado de la PC.

Me parecio un libro realmente extraordinario, pues yo sabia muy poco de photoshop pero sabia de su gran potencial, y de verdad me agrado este libro pues presenta todo con gran sencilles y facil de entender, ademas de que yo siempre he pensado que un libro es la mejor manera de aprender.

Estaba buscando un libro que simplificara el uso de herramientas de desarrollo web, una suerte de 'puntapie' inicial para construir un sitio con tecnologias de contenido activo, etc. Esta guia fue vital para eso: pude incluir contenido en PHP, y tambien montar un servidor Apache propio. El libro no se limita a tecnologias libres; tambien da explicaciones para SQL y manejo de bases de datos en Access. Es muy completo, y por ese precio es insuperable

Es un excelente manual para armar la computadora. Esta basado en las computadoras personales o PC, que son las mas populares, y por eso es muy util.

Lo recomiendo especialmente porque esta actualizado y describe con mucho detalle como poner y configurar cada componente. Tambien tiene una guia de compras, para saber que comprar y en que comercios podrian engañarnos con publicidad falsa.

El Frontpage es bastante facil de manejar si ya se sabe usar Word, pero este libro ayuda mucho en todas las herramientas que tiene para organizacion de la construccion del sitio web. Antes todas las paginas salian iguales, pero siguiendo los pasos de este libro aprendes a corregir todos esos pequeños detalles que hacen que un sitio lusca profesional.

Con esta guia, pude utilizar mi nueva computadora equipada con el Windows XP. Los capitulos señalan con perfecto detalle como usar las impresoras, las aplicaciones y tambien como configurar todo lo necesario para usar el sistema. Este manual me simplifico mucho, especialmente comparado con la ayuda que trae el manual que venia con la computadora.

I loved this book, because I love the civil war and was sick of all fictional books about it. when I picked up this book and started to read I could not put it down. It's one of the best books I've ever read

This is an excellent book to stimulate interest in the Civil War era. It tells the tale of a youngster who joins up with the cavalry of Gen. Wade Hampton and the adventures and trials they face. Although highly fictionalized, it does contain enough historical facts to make it accurate and educational.

I checked this book out of the library in elemenatry school every time i could. I probably read it 50 times. I want a copy of it.and of another book by the same author (ALLEN) by the title of "Blow Bugles Blow".

I am not a student & don't buy books because I have to but rather because I enjoy history. Textbooks are sold to a captive audience & lack the finesse or detail to compete for a general audience. This book covers a wide range of subjects but without great detail in each (necessarily perhaps) & offers a perhaps more liberal view of US events than I believe is entirely accurate. I only evaulated the Colonial/Revolutionary periods and the Civil War before deciding to return it for a refund of my $. Perhaps this is the best out there but I certainly hope not! Really great historical authors (Paul Kennedy, B. Tuckman, etc.) include a wealth of detail that makes the history come alive. In comparison textbooks such as this one skip detail for a mere listing of events & dates with the author's interpretations, so students can easily highlight the appropriate sections in preparing for exams. Don't buy it unless required for a class!

This book is very easy to read and understand. If you don't know much about U.S. History, and you want an easy to read book, then this book is for you. Brinkley's style of writing is remarkably down-to-earth. You can read this book for pleasure and get a lot out of it!.... Anyways, get the book. It's worth it.

Alan Brinkley has put together a wonderfully readable, balanced, and thorough history of the US, in just under a thousand pages. It would be ideal for college introductory classes (or very sophisticated high school students); particularly welcome are the selections from primary sources ("American Voices") that often represent other-than-white-male views, but include William Bradford on landing at Plymouth and Nixon on China, and the dozen or so segments called "Debating the Past" that reviw the differing perspectives historians have taken on such topics as slavery, populism, and Viet Nam. I have been a teacher for a quarter of a century, and this is the book I wish I'd had all that time
