Step-by-step garden guide with lots of great informationWhat makes the book unique is that each section discusses the material for every month (hence the title, "month by month"). Each month contains about 2 pages of instructions for planning, planting, care, watering, fertilizer, pests, and pruning. Each section starts with several pages introducing the topic.
Example of Melinda Myers advice: Tree section (April), "Do not prune Oaks and Honeylocust once growth begins. Wait until the dormant season to avoid disease problems".
Oops, I wish I would have had this book earlier. I did prune my Oak in April a few years back, and I now have a disease problem.
Besides the great plant instructions, the books contains amazing maps of Wisconsin (page size maps with county names). Maps contain USDA Cold Hardiness, Annual Precipation, Average First Frost, and Average Last Frost. Also includes lists of crop dates, UW Extension Service addresses, dry tolerate perennials, and much much more.
This is an excellent wealth of plant tips for anyone gardening in Wisconsin. It's a must have book!

taut suspense chillerWhat she did mortifies Robin, who wants to move on and forget the sexual encounter. They ask Robin to move in with them as they love her, but she is horrified by the suggestion and rejects it. They begin harassing her through greeting cards until Robin turns to the police for help. Detective Jack Jones, on clerical duty with the death of his third partner in the last two years is assigned to help Robin because the mayor declared the museum a key part of the city. As the Wheatons' campaign of terror increases, only Jack stands between them and their destruction of Robin, who, they insist, they love.
Fans of taut suspense chillers will be unable to refuse to read THE OFFER. The story line works because the key players seem human. The Wheatons are a Fatal Attraction duet whose obsession seems frighteningly real. Robin is a powerful victim filled with remorse while Jack is a cop struggling with being a death magnet that only his wife the stripper helps his esteem. Robert J. Randisi turns up the tension leaving the audience to think twice about whom they accompany home.

Good Commentary"Even when you practice a complete path, that path must not be chaotic and random. If it is complete but chaotic and random you cannot achieve enlightenment, which means you cannot do perfect work for sentient beings. Therefore, you have to practice the whole path towards enlightenment and you must do so in the correct order."
At this point, he introduces the lamrim as that path. You know, I must admit this book is at times a little stuck in doctrine, but it's forgivable. All around it's a fascinating text and quite alive in concern to the often perplexing reads you find while approaching Tibetan Buddhism. If you are looking to learn more about the Tibetan way, this is a really good book to start with. I personally don't practice Tibetan Buddhism, but I respect the tradition and like what many of it's teachers have got to say. So get the book, it's beyond doubt worth the read.
