Listen and EnjoyWonderful. Stunning...Any fan of industrial music or the beauty that is Neubauten will love this book. Lots of great period photos that i've never seen before and some truly 'inventive' discussions and interviews concerning the music and philosophy of Neubauten. Both in German and English (although if you read German you'll get much more than out of the book than if you don't) A hard first time read, or by someone who's not a long time fan of the band. Gets deep into their philosophy and is well worth the money.

A magyarság ostörténete : (mit adott a magyarság a világnak)

The best book ever on the origins of the Hungarian people. This is a difficult read (two volumes) in that the author
use of old, seldom used Magyar words caused me to re-read many passages for clarity. The writing is, however, superb. Starting at the occupation of the Danube basin in 895 AD and working backwards to the ancestral home in Western China, the author takes us back to the age of population migations. Very well done.

Invaluable reference sourceAs an international equity portfolio manager specializing in Japanese equities, this book is a very valuable reference source. The book describes many of the key institutions and their interlocking nature. Full of cross references, addresses & phone numbers (for institutions) and mini bibliographies for most major concepts, this book is a great hub for studying the Japanese economy. I look forward to the next edition.

Boolean Algebra at its bestIn the 1940s the author foresaw the importance of understanding and applying Boolean algebra to the everyday life of the 1990s. Lieber wrote Mits, Wits, and Logic to give the average junior high student an easy-to-read prose introduction to Aristotelian and Boolean logic. This book also has a strong anti-violence and anti-war theme which is supported by Lieber's logic. This is the ideal book for anyone who thinks math doesn't apply to their life and/or that reading a math book is always dull.

a well - researched volumeThe nuclear almanac is 545 pages of facts, figures and text encompassing the (1980's) current state of the art in Nuclear Energy Programs. Not just nuclear weapons, the volume also covers reactors, accidents, proliferation, and the history of nuclear energy. All are very well annotated, and written at a high-school level. This would be an excellent reference book for a college student, or writer, or any person interested in nuclear power. My favorite photo is of the fingernails, but you'll have to buy this book to see why they're in there!

Revidierte Elberfelder Bibel mit Konkordanz. (Kunstleder blau).

Elberfelder BibleIt is the best translation of the Bible I have ever read in any language. Translation is an art and there will always be arguments about the best way to translate any document. The Elberfelder translators have, in my opinion, done a better job of rendering the Masoretic and Greek originals into another language than any other translation extant.

Henry Picker was a young German officer who knew stenography and took down Hitler's Table Talk for a period of four years during World War II. This book was first published in 1951 and has enjoyed many reprints in the intervening years. This edition is by far the best because of the revealing footnotes which leads the reader to other sources.
Though Hitler is invariably portrayed as a raving madman in American "docudramas," he could also be a thoroughly charming and intensely charismatic private companion in his off hours. A man capable of seducing 65 million Germans and of his monumental crimes, had to possess an elemental force both inexplicable and fascinating. This book provides some clues to Hitler's personality, though in fairness, his mesmerizing mystique had been dulled by drugs and megalomania by 1941. He was surrounded by sycophants, but there were some perceptive and intelligent people in his milieu, most notably Joseph Goebbels. Hitler's secretaries were also articulate and intelligent ladies. However, his chauffeurs and other aides, such as Linge and Schaub, were hardly junior Einstein's.
Hitler's monologues are faithfully presented here and he emerges as a genius in certain areas (his knowledge of architecture and art was encyclopedic), and as a sexist boor in other realms. His believed himself to be omniscient and believed further that he was a messiah selected by Providence to save the German nation. Anyone harboring such delusions is bound to sound arrogant and insufferable on occasion.
This is a must have book for anyone interested in Hitler, his entourage, or his paralyzing effect upon other people. It's chilling that Hitler casually discussed trivialities while Europe was being torn asunder because of one man's twisted ideology. If you read German, I can't recommend it highly enough.
