This is the most descriptive book on teen pregnancy yet, and i recommend this book to any teen who may be in such a situation, or anyone. This book gives many options for the teen to pursue, which the teen may not have thought of. Dr. Heller is the best pediatric author of the time, and it would be great if she would come out with another book.

I found the text to be extrememly well-organized, written understandably, and very straightforward. As a professional in Emergency Medical Services, I use the book as a personal reference, as well as a teaching tool for advanced-skills classes. EMT Basics through Paramedics will find value in this book, as it covers all topics from basic splinting to advanced airway management and administration of medications.

This remarkable book about the start and progress of the first Roman Catholic Diocese in the USA is worth buying and reading. It provides wonderful insights into the way the Catholic Church digs in where it was rejected before, and builds a powerful foundation for future growth.

Prior to the 1776 Revolutionary War, the Catholic Church was literally outlawed in the then 13 British colonies of North America. After the war was won by the revolutionaries, the Roman Church immediately took steps to set up a branch of its organization in the newly established USA. Baltimore, Maryland was chosen as the headquarters site, and a former Jesuit priest from a prominent Maryland family was consecrated the first Catholic bishop in the USA. The Catholic Church divides the world up into geographical areas called "dioceses," or "sees," for short. Thus, the new (in 1787) Catholic diocese in the USA (in Baltimore) was (and is) the "Premier See" of the Roman Catholic Church in America.

This book, written by a Catholic Religious Brother named Thomas Spalding (a history professor from Spalding University in Kentucky), details the establishment and growth of the Premier See, the Catholic diocese (later archdiocese) headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.

The book is well written, and very interesting. Brother Spalding does not shrink from offering controversial material, even reports of criticism of various bishops and archbishops who led the Premier See in Baltimore over its 200 plus year history.

Any student of the Catholic Church, friend or foe, would do well to read this book. It tells the tale of a complicated and powerful religious organization in a very readable, informative way.

A very detailed book, the best I have read on the subject and one of the best books I've Ever read. It was very hard to put down. An Incredible book!

The best thing I liked this book is the clear, actual and concise presentation of the subject. It is an excellent book for primary care physicians and internists. Primary Cardiology is divided into three parts. Part 1 covers fundamental principles thar underlie evidence-based medicine and translation of advances in science to the practice of medicine. Part 2 rational approaches to common clinical practice. Part 3 focouses on the evaluation of cardiovascular disorder. I higlhy recommend this book.

Richard Lazar should never have puit his pen down. His astounding account of the inner workings of the human mind is not only factually impectable, but his his style in presenting one of the most conceptually challenging areas in medicine made me buy the book for my young son Spencer for Christmas. It reads like a novel. Richard Lazar is my hero, and it is because of him that my son has hcosen to enter the field of Neorology. Richard, your next book should be on the priciples of life!

This book gives you exactly what it says it does. I believe it is specially made for the quick study of a given subject. If you come to this book expecting to find all answers you'll surelly be disapointed. As the title of the book says here you only find the "principles". For a thorough study you must get a physiology treaty either by the same authors or by Guyton, Ganong... In addition I think this book will be somehow difficult to understand if you are not a medical student because the authors write about a subject as if you already have some concepts on medical subjects as Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Histology, Biochemistry...
