This update was thoroughly revised again. The figures were redrawed again and the chapters are arranged in more accessible manner. The text is easier to read than the previous edition, but in some chapters you have to consult the previous edition. The authors had achieved their goals, but the new "nomenclature and classification of lumbar disc pathology" was not included -- Spine, 2001; 26: E93-113. A good buy and must buy!

Those of us who have enjoyed California olives for a long time will read many previously unknown facts about this complicated and risky agricultural pursuit.

Dr. Taylor has obviously spent long hours and many miles in her research of the subject. The Bibliography alone consumes 20 pages! Furthermore, there are 10 pages of Acknowledgements.

The end result is a comprehensive chronicle of olives in California with a strong emphasis on ripe olive processes (both olive oil and pickled in cans). Her writing style reflects a love of the subject.

This is an excellent book! It outlines some of the most crucial principles for surviving the first year of residency. Example, time management and assigning tasks.....

We bought this book after our rugby team had two concussions during a match. This book breaks down possible injuries and gives a list of warning signs and how to stabilize injuries until you can reach a hospital. I was very impressed with the clear writing style which makes it possible for anyone to understand and apply the techniques described. I recommend this book for sports teams to keep with their medicine chest.

This is an excellent book on MRI. One chapter is devoted entirely to helping the anxious or claustrophobic patient complete their scan. The images are fantastic - better than any other images I've ever seen in an MRI book. The authors provide details on how to obtain these images. Another chapter provides radiology administators, managers, and technologists with practical information about setting up their own open MRI center. The authors reveal the secrets to using open magnets successfully.

These books are the most commonly referred books for operative neurosurgery in my office. It covers most of the commonly performed operations. Experts in the field describe the details and tricks in how to make an neurosurgical operation successful and complication free. They are particularly useful for young neurosurgeons as practical references. On the other hand, they are also useful for experienced neurosurgeons who want incorporate others experience and advices to build up their own techniques.

This is a fine, well ilustrated book which is a must-have for practicing urologists and residents. The topics in each chapter are up-to-date and cover the operations done in daily practice by office or hospital based urologists.
