It is a very outstanding book, the full coverage of items surprised me and the "brief and deep" aproach is a very outstanding feature. In my path to prepare the USMLE I have found that this Jacob's book is a really useful tool to strenghten and focus your major clinical sciences skills and knowledgement and it is also a useful textbook to prepare to answer the questions as they are written in the exam when you take it. I highly recomend this book for foreign doctors looking forward to write and pass the USMLE step 2 exam.

This is a suitably vast book for a vast subject. It covers every aspect of the application of human genetics to medicine, and the reviews are not only an ideal introduction to a genetic disease, but are heavily referenced as well. This makes it ideal as a guide to the most recent literature on the subject. The introductory chapters are essential reading as well.

In Mind Over Mass, Dr. Glozman gives a realistic approach to weight management. He details 12 common obstacles, and specifically how to overcome them for a healthier life.

This book is great. The information is well presented. This book explains where you can get all the vitamins and minerals you need so that you can be extreamely healthy. The book explains also where you can get the natural sources of the mineral or vitamin but also explains the benifits and supposibly benifts you can obtain when you include these vitimins in you diet. excellent for the price and very well written. peace and eco-live

What a wonderful surprise when one stumbles upon a gem of a book. Miss Susie Slagle's is a wonderfully told combination of school-boy story (Johns Hopkins Medical School), history of medicine--the history of early Johns Hopkins hospital is the history of modern medicine in America--and early 20th century romance. I recommend it for all who love seeing the past through the eyes of its participants, even if fictional.

This book by K. Chien is an excellent example of the transfer of basic knolewdge in molecular biology of the heart to the comprehension of basic mechanisms on cardiovascular diseases. I think that Molecular basis of cardiovascular diseases is essential for researchers in the field of cardiovascular pathology.

It's a very detailed, organized book that doesn't give u any hard time understanding. It has good/strong background information for readers.

This annually updated soft-cover book is an essential addition to any 21st century clinician's library. It presents a review of the evidence on common primary care dilemmas (e.g. hormone replacement therapy -- risks and benefits; cancer screening; management of common diseases). The bibliography at the end of each chapter is excellent for those who want to delve into specifics, while the chapters themselves provide an overview of the science for busy practitioners. As a family practice resident, I'm finding it an excellent resource, and keep it with me in the office.

This was my favourite of 4 titles that I reviewed when preparing a course on the Internet for Physicians. This book is comprehensive, gives an overview of the Internet in simple language and gives examples of sites and resources in all specialities. I would highly recommend it for both personal collections and libraries.
