"eClinical Trials: Planning & Implementation" is an excellent guide for clinical researchers interested in taking advantage of the electronic techology that is becoming increasingly available. In such a highly-regulated industry, there are a lot of questions before someone moves from the comfortable environment of paper-based clinical trials to the less-familiar ground of electronic records. This book addresses such topics as data quality and data integrity, safety surveillance and IRBs, and the regulatory environment's intent and impact on clinical trials. The material in this book is presented in a way that can help a researcher understand the implications using the new technologies and processes in planning and implementing a clinical trial.

This is the most thorough and natural book on eating the best foods for health and healing that I've ever read; and I have read many of them. This is in no way a diet book for weight loss, but a book about eating naturally to prevent or cure whatever is bothering you/your system. It is simple to use--just look up your problem, and you will get a specific food to eat to combat it based on the Edgar Cayce readings(the health readings are well-documented and the cures proven effective as evidenced by the letters written back to Edgar Cayce from thankful and thrilled adults and children who were cured whose evidence can be found in other Cayce material). If you can find this book, buy it immediately. It is an excellent reference book for any library.

This Book is great if you are studying to become an EMT-B cause this book is very good and very good at explaning the basics of become an EMT i think some of the picture are graphic but very well done and i think you will pass using this book, there are other EMT book but i think this one is the best.

This is the first text I have read that specifically addresses gynecologic and obstetric emergencies from the emergency medicine perspective. It is written from a signs and symptoms orientation making this book extremely usable. I have incorporated it into my practice and refer to it frequently.

I first ordered this book when I was pregnant considering unassisted childbirth. You won't find any touchy-feely birth stories here. Simply put, it is a reference tool that you can use in case of an unforeseen complication during childbirth. It is laid out in an organized way and tells you what to do if you run into the most common birth complications - excessive bleeding, baby not breathing, cord prolapse, etc.

If you are considering a home birth, get this book and take an infant CPR class. Even if you plan on doing a hospital birth, this book is worthwhile. Why? because it is nice having the peace of mind to know how to handle problems yourself. It is the responsible adult thing to do. Chances are, you will not need the information presented in this book because natural births have fewer complications. However, it is good material to know.

This is an excellent review for medical students and residents alike. It is a one of a kind as far as its problem-based format is concerned. Each chapter begins with a clinical case presentation and then goes through immediate questions that the emergency physician should ask him/herself. An excellent pocket companion that makes for a quick reference as well as easy read after shift.

I highly recommend it to those seeking to master emergency medicine.

While caring for an active population, I find this book invaluable. The organization is excellent and easy to reference. Concise diagnostic modalities and treatment protocols that are up to date and practical. Many illustrations and diagrams to aid in the diagnosis and treatment. Overall an excellent reference guide for any primary care provider.

This book has been a tremendous help to us as we tighten up our compliance with these laws. It is easy to read, and easy to find answers to your complex questions about EMTALA. A "must have" for your facility!

Easy to understand then other similar books. Informative for the lay person in regard to todays common illnesses and prevention ie, Lyme disease, food borne illnesses, childhood diseases.
