Thankyou so much for helping me find the perfect book ever to give to my dad for Christmas. I have been looking forever for the perfect book on yachts history on the Chesapeake Bay and here it is! This book is great, It's interesting, informational and has really great facts on the yachts. A history of Yachting on the Bay is a wonderful book!

Chesapeake Wildlife (text and illustrations by Pat Vojtech) is a singularly stunning, breathtakingly beautiful book, filled with full color photographs of natural wildlife from black bears to snowy egrets. The text includes a history and overview of Chesapeake wildlife, followed by looks at various specific species including elk, raccoons, raptors, seabirds, and much more. Chesapeake Wildlife is impressively informative, highly recommended for school and community library wildlife reference collections, and the perfect giftbook for any nature enthusiast.

This book is a lifesaver, complete with flowcharts of possible problems, descriptions of illnesses, what to do for your child and when to call the doctor. Most helpful of all are the many pictures of what rashes, etc. actually look like. I heartily recommend this for anyone with children.

Someday they will look back on this era as the Dark Ages in chronic pain management. This book sheds some much-needed light into that darkness. In this field, there has been a pressing need for a book that is both comprehensive in scope and readily understandable. Michael S. Margoles MD, PhD is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and pain management specialist. Richard S. Weiner, PhD is executive director of the American Academy of Pain Management. Together, they edit this book, which fills that need. It contains the material that a medical care practitioner needs to assess, diagnose and manage chronic pain patients, the material is presented in such as way that it is accessible and of value to the patients as well.

This book includes chapters written by counselors, chiropractors, osteopathic doctors and those special chronic pain experts-the patients themselves. The dilemma of the modern day chronic pain physicians, primary care givers and pharmacists is presented. On one hand there is the need to treat the patient in the best way possible to maximize function and minimize pain, and on the other hand there is the very real fear of the DEA--government agents trained to deal with drug abusers and illegal narcotics, with very little understanding of chronic pain. The result is that patients turn to the "Kevorkian option", due to their doctors' fears and lack of training. This book gives realistic, well-documented guidelines for the use of opioids in the care of chronic pain care. True patient stories give an intensity and humanity to this struggle that goes on every day and night, and will continue to do so until this problem is resolved. This book gives suggestions for the resolution of this problem. One of these is medical coding for myofascial pain syndrome, the most common source of chronic pain, which has been mostly ignored by the medical and insurance professionals simply because it is a complex condition.

As a chronic pain patient as well as care giver, I hope that this book finds its way into every library. I pray that doctors and other care givers, chronic pain patients, medical board members, insurers and drug enforcement agents read it, and become enlightened.

Chronic pelvic pain is perplexing to all gynecologists. The reason is that not all pelvic pain is straight forward. There are psychological issues, urological, gastrointestinal, neural, and musculoskeletal components that preclude the effectiveness of simple NSAIDs and hysterecomy one size fits all treatment. This text very clearly characterizes the different etiologies with their workup and treatments. It is well organized to zero-in on a particular issue or read cover to cover. The illustrations are nice. This is the best book on this subject...hands down. It should be in every gynecologists library

For anyone who has ever vacationed at Ocean City, MD this book adds a whole new dimension to memories of the seaside town. The ultimate beach book--I thorougly enjoyed sitting on the beach and imaganing the town the way it was decades ago.

We had to wait almost 10 years for this 3 edition but it was worth it! Several new chapters, very detailed techniques and plenty of reference values.

When I first started reading the review I thought it was great. It has alot of details on how to exercise and getting into shape. I liked the review alot and it had great ideas on how to do alot of exercise hints.

Great book. Concise yet thorough. Not for those who like a lot text to peruse. Pics are perfect, every topic has at least a couple. Combines all those books youv'e been told to get indivually. Small enough to bring along with you wherever.
