This fun kid's book is beautifully illustrated. The story teaches kids about the good in all people without trying to preach a hard-core lesson.

Peter David, as usual, has written a fabulous story. In this case, he twists the traditional werewolf myth by having the main character, a wolf, being bitten by a werewolf. The werehuman, for lack of a better term, must then learn how to survive for those couple days a month when he turns into a great 2-legged beast. Of course, he has help along the way (and a romantic interest), and the original werewolf and a friend to hinder him. I literally couldn't put this book down until I had finished it. Then I picked Otherwere - a compilation of short stories, which includes the sequel to Howling Mad. I couldn't put that down either.

This book is a riot. There are 9 authors from all over the world who write 5 pieces each. I don't think I have ever laughed so much in my entire life. It's wacky, witty, smutty, weird but most of all funny. I highly recommend this publication.

Yes, 25 years ago I fell in love with this great book. I still have the mobile I made as a book report hanging in my office. It is a simple story that captures your heart because chances are you've been so mad, too!

A girl is mad when a promised picnic is canceled due to rain. Her father helps her think of ways to manage her anger and feel better. The reader gets to pick a page to turn to depending on which idea she will try: pounding clay, taking a bath, singing an un-mad song, etc. We see her try many ideas and eventually begin to feel better. This is a great book to teach kids that we are in control of how we manage our emotions. We can even be creative about it!

This was a very entertaining book. The star of this writing is Howard Jarvis.His role in bringing about the passage of Proposition 13 is written in detail in this book. You are given the story of skyrocketing taxes in California that brought about
this revolt.You are also informed of the shockwaves that the
passage of this proposition had on the California political
establishment.The views of Howard Jarvis are also shared with the reader.Especially amusing was Mr. Jarvis' meeting with California Governor Jerry Brown.This proved to be a very informative book that you will enjoy reading.

This book details the reason for Ingulf's madness and the origins of Carroll Mac Lir. We find out a considerable amount about the structure of society in the dreaded land of Sarlow be warned some of it is quite stomach turning. Making cameo apparences are Svaran the Black, Grom Beardless and Vildren as well as a certain traitor. This book is diffrent in tempo from Paul Zimmer's other books. Due in part to the Focus on Ingulf's angst over his unrequited love for an elven princess and Vildren questioning of his long held belief systems. But have no fear there is still plenty of swashbuckling action and heroism to sate the hungriest conniseur. Interestingly we are introduced to the "Council of Seven" the ruling body that orchestrates the defence against the shadow and maintains the mystic barriers that confine them. What I found enjoyable about this book was the more indepth character study of the key protagonists.And we find out just why Carroll Mac Lir is accounted as the greatest of the heroes of Y'gora. I've been reading Paul Zimmer books for almost 16 years because they still carry a resonance that removes you from this mundane world, a sense of wonder that carries the reader to a continent perpetually at war and to a land far across the sea where heroes still walk and strive against evil.

At first I was not sure on this book, but i liked the cover and I bought it. it turned out to be the best book I have EVER read on the subject of hacking. its a must read for anyone who is serious about hacking and who they are..period!

This climax to a four book series makes the entire journey worthwhile.

Here a man achieves sanity, enlightenment and a real life after traveling through the interior hell of mental illness and the exterior hell of a grim and deadly Fifties Insane Aslum.

What more can we ask of a great book or, indeed, of great literature?

Sharing this experience I count as one my life's great and absolute pleasures.
