For Those Who Long To Fulfil Their Destiny In Christ
This is one of the most encouraging books i have read about discovering God's destiny for your life and then taking Biblically based steps for pressing through into its fulfilment!

It fits extremely well with another book called "God's Timing For Your Life" by Dutch Sheets. Together they form real ammunition for persistent prayer. And that is what is needed, because what this book also brings home is how much we have an enemy who is determined to prevent us from reaching our potential in Christ.

It's a manageable size with little or no padding. My friend felt that the book was a little bit "formula based" and i can understand what she is saying but I think when you set it in the context of other writings by the author that isn't really the case. They are simply setting out principles which God Himself has established as part of His covenant relationship with us (another neglected aspect of our Christian walk)

If all God's people read and consistently applied the principles contained here i believe the Body Of Christ would make a far greater impact in this world for His Kingdom.

So read and be blessed!

A very encouraging book on values
Drawing on his backround in Great Britin and the US, Briscoe explains in simple terms how values have become "relative" and how it effects our life. Briscoe uses wit, wisdom, the scriptures (mostly Proverbs) and current events to carefully explain the way to a better life, with God. I highly recommend this book to the young people of our country. The book changed my life, and my understanding of God.

A superb discussion of Christian estate planning
This book is excellent. It begins in the right place, that is, by laying out the REASONS for doing estate planning for a Christian family, then discusses the alternatives available for estate planning in easy to understand language (this is probably the BEST book in the field for defining the terms in real English, rather than legalese). Then the book discusses the important part of planning: deciding what you want to do to help your spouse, children, and plan for taxes, with alternatives explained and laid out. Finally, it has a realistic discussion about lawyer's fees and how to work with a lawyer to limit them, and how to call in other advisors to do some of the grunt work

... and a Delight to Read !
Christians (and all those otherwise calling themselves by that name), will either read in the delight of joyful affirmation--or take serious account of what they should be doing already...(the book's title). Written from the heart a man solely devoted to God, this book is filled with spiritual knowledge, guidance, and "pearls." Recommended for ALL "children of God."

A thought provoking book about life
Sittser's book "Discovering God's Will" is a must read for all Christians. The book attacks the very question that everybody asks themself, "What is God's will for my life?" He goes into detail to explain the answers and how you figure out your purpose in life. It was very helpful for me and I know it will help you also. He writes in language simple enough that all ages can understand it. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

It makes a difference!
This book was absolutely wonderful. It is set up in a workbook style so that you are doing more than just reading it; you are thinking and praying as you go. It really helped me get in tune with God. I also recommend it for anyone not very familiar with the Bible or interested in learning more. It has been a wonderful resource for me! I encourage you to try it if you haven't already.

Motivating and Inspiring!
"Go to God Himself, and ask for the calling of God; for as certainly as He has a plan or calling for you, He will somehow guide you into it..." with that quote from Horace Bushnell, the theme for the book is set early in this motivational study. We're reminded that Jesus told his followers that not even a sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father's will and that we are much more significant than birds. Sanders points out that we one of us has unique giftings from God. On the next page he adds, "The circumstances surrounding our lives are not accidental" but are devised by God the Father. He tells us the circumstances are not just to guide us in terms of process, but to increase our knowledge of God Himself. Expect obstacles, he warns. These come for two reasons: to develop our faith and so that our character might be strengthened (p. 13). An element of mystery is included in the process of walking in God's guidance. Proverbs 3:5 is quoted. "The disposition of events is not in our hands, but in God's" Sanders reminds us on page 19. This book is a powerful tool of encouragement for Christians. I strongly recommend it. It will reassure its readers that God has a plan and as we trust Him, He will bring it to fruitition.

Scriptural Insight
The book begins with the premise that God made us, knows our most intimate desires, and has a specific plan for us individually. He says since we are God's highest earthly creatures, i.e., made in His image, it is only logical that He intends for us to accmomplish certain things during our lives on earth and not live in confusion or uncertainty. He talks about God using our natural inclinations, our environment, and the circumstances around us in discovering this plan.

It's conforting to know that God takes the initiative in directing our paths if we seek Him, according to the Bible. He promises to continually guide us. We are God's work and we are called to do good works, we're told in Ephesians 2:10.

His interpretation of Psalm 37:4 is particularly insightful. He tells us God will give us the desires of our heart if we meet one condition, to delight ourselves in the Lord. Obeying God is a sign that we delight in Him and His ways. This book is a powerfully encouraging one which I strongly recommend.

Personal and Challenging
God Whispers rattles the cage of mediocre Christian spirituality by forcing us to run head on into that one truth we Christians find so hard to believe--God still speaks to his children. In an intimate yet practical way, Margaret shares real-world examples of how God speaks to us today, and challenges us to take the risk to listen and follow His whispers in our daily lives. God Whispers is a solid, biblical exploration of a subject desperately close to our souls.

Spiritual Recovery Journey
This book has provided me with strength and comfort as I was going through the most difficult time with my husband's sickness with MS. As I read the author's experiences of his own painful personal situation and his agony of asking GOD of why, I could easily relate that to my own.

This is not a book for pleasure reading. It is intended to walk you through the process of acceptance of your situation that GOD is in control of all. It was painful to go through the book. My book was so full of tears, notes, and coffee stains. When I first read the book, I cried more than I read. As time went by, I could feel the strength in my soul to be able to think through the process.

This book has saved four of us and the two turtles. It has confirmed our faith and belief that our heavenly father is with us through good time and bad time.
