Please don't buy it as an EBOOK
I have made a mistake by buying this book as an ebook.
You can't print it, can't copy or paste from it, can't put it onto another computer, and worse I have paid almost twice as much $$, the paper version is: $

Dr. Wilkoff has a simple solution to a big dilemma
If you are looking for a way to get your child to sleep, this is the book for you. Parents are always complaining that the worst time of day is night time and getting their child to sleep. Dr. Wilkoff's book teaches you, the parent, how to teach your child sleep independence. It's very easy reading and lays everything out for simple understanding. He includes a chart that tells how much sleep your child needs at what age. It's takes a stern and committed heart but the rewards are wonderful. I have a 13 month old who loves his bed and I rarely fight with him to go to sleep. Sometimes he even perfers to be in his crib when he is tired. Now when other parents are complaining about their child's bed time, usually 10:00 or 10:30pm, I tell them about this book. It's not only good for newborns and infants but for teenagers and adults as well. Everyone can benefit from this book. I heard about this book from my sister. Dr. Wilkoff is my niece and nephew's pediatrician. She also followed this book and her children are wonderful sleepers and because of their sleep habits they are performing very well in school. You will be very satisfied. Not for the weak hearted. On occasion you will have to hear your child cry, but teaching good sleep habits now will benefit them in the long run.

Straightforward, upfront advice!
I wish I had found this book when my son was younger. Instead, I wasted time feeling guilty when Dr. Weisbluth's "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby" told me my baby wouldn't cry if only I would get my timing "perfect" or fretted when Dr. Jodi Mindell's book told me I absolutely could not nurse my six month old right before bed. Maybe my exhaustion with all the other "expert" baby sleep books is the reason why I appreciated this book so much. I found it, first of all, a very organized straightforward book. It laid out EXACTLY how much sleep babies need by age, and it gave very simple advice on how to achieve those sleep needs. And, frankly, I found the author's willingness to acknowledge that sleep training is going to result in some crying to be a refreshing change of pace from Weisbluth's coy allusions to catching your baby's "wave" of tiredness, and "surfing" him to a cry free sleep. Obviously, if you are put off by any "crying it out" references, you are not going to be crazy about this book. But I found it straighforward, simple, and organized.

Most of us know that upon our demise, a succession of fees and taxes will eat into our estates--no matter their size--if we don't plan now to protect them. Unfortunately, many of us still postpone this process because we hesitate to summon the outside legal assistance that's traditionally been required. The folks at Nolo Press have made it their mission to provide us with the means to complete a relatively uncomplicated official arrangement like this without lawyers, however, and their third edition of Make Your Own Living Trust offers hope even to the most hesitant among us. With easy-to-follow instructions, helpful worksheets, and all of the forms necessary, attorney Denis Clifford shows both individuals and couples how to avoid otherwise inevitable delays and costs by preparing on their own to transfer their property directly to their designated heirs. Clifford's method involves the creation of a "living trust," which is a basic legal entity that allows property to be simply passed along in this way immediately upon the death of the person who created it. He outlines advantages and drawbacks, and then clearly lays out the entire process. The excuses stop here. --Howard Rothman

Informative, but "Plan Your Estate" is a much better choice
The book explained a lot of things well, but almost nobody is going to make their own living trust with this book. Maybe single people with modest estates and no children.

The book has many warnings: "If you want to do blah, blah, blah, see a lawyer. Nolo's living trust program does not handle this situation."

I would give it 3 or 4 stars, except Nolo Press's "Plan Your Estate" by the same author is much more thorough. Better to get that.

Make Your Own Living Trust
A generally easy to follow and excellent review of the material. However, a shortcoming is the lack of clearly definitive language for determining how to name mutual fund money markey accounts and life insurance policies in order to include in the Trust. For example, do you name yourself as initial trustee or the successor trustee as trustee of children's trusts as beneficiary on life policies? Do you make Trust owner and/or beneficiary of money market mutual funds. One additional crticism is that forms are not set up as "forms" per se. You must eliminate the "fill-in" language such as Name? for each blank.

CD present
I was pleased to see this book has a Mac/Windows CD in a jacket on the inside back cover. Your advertising and reviews did not seem to mention that.

As usual, this book was what I expect from Nolo: the best. Very informative, detailed, and useful.

Finding God's Will (5 pack)

Not a lot bang for the buck
Although the booklet (definitely not a book) contained some thought provoking material, the price is far too much for the amount of content.

Short, simple, and to the point. I love it!
In this 24-page booklet, Chuck Swindoll explains the difference between God's determined will and His desired will for your life. He also gives you a 3-step plan for finding God's will and explains how you will know when you are living in His will. This is a great book to share with others, Christians and non-Christians alike. It is easy to read and based on Biblical principles. I have read and reread this book a hundred times over the past few years. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to know what great things God has planned for their life! Enjoy!

This book is a blessing
The Blessing Book unfolds what faith looks like in the midst of adversity. The author uses the Psalms to show how the Lord can turn pain and suffering into a blessing. It provides hope and refreshment to anyone who has experienced adversity in their lives. This book is appropriate to give to someone who has been through difficult times or to use in a small Bible study. Included is a four-week Bible study to help each person discover the comfort found in God's Word.

Peaceful Practices for Decision-making
Tired of the usual administrative hassle using the church's version of Parliamentary procedure, I turned to this book, which promised a more spiritual way of making decisions. Imagine decision-making based on an understanding of spirituality instead of legalisms! Morris and Olsen offer such a practice through their discernment process. (They get a little cute as they explore the process and coin words based on discernment, but that can be excused.) This is a fine book. It allows those who feel intimidated by the rules of parliamentary proceduce to move beyond that and offers the timid fresh ways to act on their convictions.

The book has a helpful chart that shows the step-by-step process of moving toward discernment. I found the illustrations helpful and the cover art connects with the ancient tradition of the church and represents a sense of listening for God.

Trust Me On This One
...In Loving Trust, the authors discuss various methods of estate planning (by estate planning, I'm talking about how you plan for the orderly disposition of your valuables after you die). They do a very good job, in my opinion, of laying out the basics concerning why you ought to make some sort of plan, and some of the preferred methods for doing so...

The book goes over the advantages and disadvantages of wills vs. trusts, with a definite slant in favor of trusts. While I think trusts are a very good estate planning tool, I don't think they are absolutely right for everyone. You should read the book with the understanding that wills can still play an important role in planning how one's assets are distributed after death.

The book is not a do-it-yourself tome, either. Don't make MORE money for lawyers by trying to write a will and fouling it up - even after reading the book and making your choices, you'll need to consult with a an attorney and a professional tax planner before drawing up your estate planning documents.

If you want to understand how wills and trusts work, and you want it in plain English, this is the one to read.

Make a Life Not Just a Living: 10 Timeless Life Skills That Will Maximize Your Real Net Worth

Maximizers!
Similar to the 7 habits, coach Ron Jenson espouses the Maximizers Principles, a set of principles to eternally follow. His introduction of what is defined by Success is good. Only you can define what it means to succeed, not anyone else. How will you want others to remember you?

Afterwards, it's an expanded explanation of his maximizer principles.

An interesting read, but I would say some of his concepts are probably repeated elsewhere.

yep
there are some good examples in this book of real life problems and he offers solutions. pretty straight forward. overall, I think it's a good book to read, but repetitive at times.

Life Maximizer
If you are looking to change your life for the better, becoming a person of significance rather than obscurity, then READ THIS BOOK! The life-coaching principles outlined by Dr. Ron Jenson is invaluable, especially his M-A-X-I-M-I-Z-E-R principle which he teaches very well. Believe me you, it really works full time for you if you so choose to embrace it.

Cliff Notes
Each musing (chapter) gets only a few pages. It reduces some of his ideas to no more than: wouldn't this be nice? with no suggestions to make it happen. I was hoping the book would be more like Jim Wallis' Faith Works.

Meditations on truth
These are very short meditations focusing on scripture in relation to present day situations. They are meant to tantilize you and begin discussion or thought. This is an easy book to just pick up and read a few pages or sit down and read the complete work in very little time. For me it was a breath of fresh air.

Another gem from Brother Will
Will D. Campbell, "bootleg preacher" to the unwashed and unlovable, has penned another book of wonder. Brother to a Dragonfly is viewed a modern classic[as it is}.Soul among Lions is a worthy cousin. Brother Will has stayed busy, stirring up a hornets nest wherever he can, placing a well intentioned burr in the saddle of the powerful. The short, wonderful essays are a goldmine for the comitted christian{though, of course, that statement covers an awful lot of ground}.Read Brother will, then look at yourself. If you are not challenged, read it again. To comfort the powerless and make the powered uncomfortable, and to do it with wit, and poetry.Quite a book, quite a human being.
