Divine Surgery for Those Who are Hurting the Most
This book opened the mind, heart and soul of those who have been or who are being hurt by those so close to them. I recommend this book to pastors, leaders, and laypeople, who are going through the storms of friendly fire.

This book bring about the spiritual foundation of healing that is needed throughout the world today.

Best book available on the topic
It was my privilege to know Ron Dunn since the 1980's. He preached this series in our church before the book was written. It is practical, helpful, insightful and encouraging.
All of us have had someone on our lives who has disappointed us and scarred us. Ron tells us how to handle our hurts and move beyond them.
This book is must reading by every leader. If you are a leader, you will eventually be burned by someone you have trusted. This resource can help you get beyond your hurt.

A superb discussion of Christian estate planning
This book is excellent. It begins in the right place, that is, by laying out the REASONS for doing estate planning for a Christian family, then discusses the alternatives available for estate planning in easy to understand language (this is probably the BEST book in the field for defining the terms in real English, rather than legalese). Then the book discusses the important part of planning: deciding what you want to do to help your spouse, children, and plan for taxes, with alternatives explained and laid out. Finally, it has a realistic discussion about lawyer's fees and how to work with a lawyer to limit them, and how to call in other advisors to do some of the grunt work

Better than any Readers Digest "Drama in Real Life"!
I set this book aside for a few days, before reading the last chapter, because I simply didn't want it to end! In each chapter, Steve and Valerie Bell introduce you to new friends who tell heart their heart-wrenching, inspirational, and instructive stories. I came away from this book with new eyes to see what faith and love really look like when tested by tragedy, disappointment and fear. Steve and Valerie: PLEASE write a sequel! How about a Volume 2?

Favorite Favorite Favorite Favorite Cookbook!
This is the cookbook that I go to the most (and I collect cookbooks, so I've got a million of them). Every time the recipes are perfect. It's quite like Mark Bittman's How to cook everything, but I seem to go to this one quite a bit more then the Bittmans.
I use it so much that it's filthy with spilled sauce stains!
No pictures, but the best basic 'how to cook anything' book.

Why probate is inimical to family wealth and how to avoid it
Family Money is an excellent and "user friendly" introduction for the non-specialist general reader into the intricacies of preparing and utilizing wills, trusts, life insurance, and other financial instruments for the purpose of endowing the people you love with the funds, properties, and possessions you wish to leave them as your legacy. Family Money covers the building and keeping of family money as a deliberate act while avoiding the hazards and uncertainties of contestable bequests. The reader will learn how to keep a will simple enough to do what is wanted, but detailed enough to satisfy a probate court; why probate is inimical to family wealth and how to avoid it; how to use living trusts to move as much as you can to family members; and when charitable trusts, special needs trusts, and other trusts can work in favor of your family. Of special value is the information on what to do if you find yourself named executor or trustee and how to instill notions of duty and humility in your heirs. If you want to pass on your wealth and possessions to those of your own choosing, then begin the process by carefully reading Family Money!

Spiritual Recovery Journey
This book has provided me with strength and comfort as I was going through the most difficult time with my husband's sickness with MS. As I read the author's experiences of his own painful personal situation and his agony of asking GOD of why, I could easily relate that to my own.

This is not a book for pleasure reading. It is intended to walk you through the process of acceptance of your situation that GOD is in control of all. It was painful to go through the book. My book was so full of tears, notes, and coffee stains. When I first read the book, I cried more than I read. As time went by, I could feel the strength in my soul to be able to think through the process.

This book has saved four of us and the two turtles. It has confirmed our faith and belief that our heavenly father is with us through good time and bad time.

The Holy Wild is a fabulous book!
Mark Buchanan's third book is, in my estimation the best yet. Tapping into a similar theme from his first book, Your God is Too Safe, Mark discusses the real character of God - the dangerous, even perilous, but good God. Moving the reader away from the notion of a God who resembles a nit-picky, small-minded bean-counter or a permissive, sleepy grandfather who keeps his distance, Buchanan reveals a God that is both dangerous and GOOD!

How we see the world around us is largely shaped by how we view God. In an unexpected way, this book can literally alter how you view the world and the God who runs it!

In God WE Trust, but only as a last resort
My mother was visiting with me and was telling me what a good book this was for building our trust in God and then at the end of the book the publishing company had omitted 16 pages from 105 to 121. She really enjoyed the book and would like to read the omitted pages. Could you please help us to secure this pages. Thank you and God Bless.

Understanding why God can be trusted
Learning to Trust God, provides an exceptional and very practical insight into the application of God's principles to our lives. Through the personal stories and experiences of her life, the author makes the challenge of an obedient walk with the Savior realistic and possible.

Each chapter creates and build a step by step process that allows the reader to build a strong foundation on understanding God's unique love and purpose for our lives. The short Bible studies provided at the conclusion of each chapter provide documented, Bibical support for the chapter focus along with questions for personal reflection and prayer.

Not only does the reader begin to realize that knowing God is the true beginning to building a lasting trust with Him, as is the case with any individual, but the rewards for doing so are beyond measure. Even in the bad times in our lives, this book offers a clearer understanding of how and why God can be trusted, supported by defined Bibical references and personal examples from life. Again the windows of a real experience, allow the reader understanding and application to every day living with a challenge to grow ourselves.

Without question, Deborah Kern has provided great and insight along with easy to understand principles of application on the topic of trusting God. She brings the words to her heart and God's heart on many issues of building our trust with wisdom, compassion, and encouragement. This book offers guidelines that have the potential to change individual lives in a profound way.

Not only is the experience provided by reading Learning to Trust God exciting and life changing, it is fun. The stories and analogies allow the principles to be individually personalized within one's own heart and life. I laughed and cried. I was encouraged and given hope along with a deeper security in knowing the God I serve, can indeed be trusted! I highly recommend this item for reading.
