To Love God Is To Know God
"The Incredible Benefits of Knowing God" is an excellent introduction into the biblical teachings by David Blunt. Chapter 3 is a critical one because he outlines the importance of our eternal salvation in accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. Jesus is not A WAY to eternal salvation but Jesus is the ONLY WAY to eternal salvation. This book is not about religion. Religion teaches 'about' God. David Blunt teaches how to 'know' God . . . how to have an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ in our everyday life. His teachings are practical and line up with the uncompromised Word of God that stands the test of time because Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Enjoyable
I enjoyed this book, but I don't know if I'll be using as much as I thought I would. I don't have most of the herbs on hand at any given moment. Some of them would be difficult to find in a pinch. The basic ones I have, but some of the uncommon ones are things that I've never even had in my house.

Unbelievable Secrets!
I never knew TEA could be anything steeped in hot water, nevertheless medicinal! It is a true must have and I don't leave town without it. It really makes sense and I never knew there was so much information just on black tea alone. I read it all the time just gleaning from its information. I even bought a copy for a friend.

yallah
Great little book packed with useful information concerning the benefits of tea.

Simple things you can do to live organically.
The book was an easy read full of good ideas, some of which I have already put into practice in my own life. There is a chapter on consumption, which is kind of depressing as it makes you feel guilty for shopping for pleasure. But the book makes you think, which is what Nell Newman intended. It also makes you angry that the government doesn't insist on a better quality of life for us as far as chemicals/ toxins/ produce are concerned.

Great ideas!
I think the other reviews caught my key points - what I like best about this book is the positive "can do" attitude, and the fresh ideas. It's layed out well and is up-to-date with our lifestyles. It also has worst offenders lists so you know where to focus in and "10 things you can do" lists in different subject areas.

Covers everything to help make Earth safer and more pleasant
This is a good, easy read for anyone interested in making their world a safer more pleasant place to live. It covers everything a person can do to make a difference as far as helping to reverse the damage done by decades of poisoning our planet and thereby ourselves with pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers. The suggestions in this book are things anyone can do. It also covers the newest degradation to our food supply, genetic engineering. Not written in words that are better left in a science lab but in down-to-earth, common sense language.

Martial Arts Revealed : Benefits, Problems, and Solutions
Published in Paperback by iUniverse, Inc. (15 June, 2003)
Author: Jamie A Seabrook

Extremely Disappointing
I found this book to be full of holes and too many grammatical errors to make it legitimate in any sort of way. I would recommend that people save their money and invest it something worthwhile. Watching paint dry is more exciting.

Thorough Examination of Martial Arts Industry
In his personal tale of his life in martial arts, Jamie Seabrook takes the reader through a journey that covers many different aspects of the martial arts. From his early days of training to descriptions of various martial arts styles, Martial Arts Revealed is a thorough examination of what is an often misunderstood discipline. Indeed, Seabrook debunks many fallacies about the martial arts and includes chapters on how to look for a school, how to detect false "masters" and how to pick a style best suited for you.

From there Seabrook examines issues like injuries, nutrition and the psychological impact of martial arts training.

Each chapter has handy summaries making it easy to reference.

Throughout the book Seabrook uses personal anecdotes and experiences to help bring home the point.

Martial Arts Revealed is advanced enough that it is probably best read by experienced martial artists. Some of the chapters may be a little advanced for the complete beginner but will certainly be of value later in their training.

Martial Arts Revealed was hard to put down!
Martial Arts Revealed was well laid out and easy to understand. I just wished I would have read it about two years ago when I first started practicing the martial arts. The author's personal experiences gave a great perspective on how the martial arts have evolved here in the West. I too, believe in preserving some tradition but also being open to change.

Martial Arts Revealed has made me realize how vital it is to do your research when seeking a studio. There are often dozens of schools to choose from, yet finding the right style and teacher is the key to one's progress. A good instructor will also lead by example and you should be able to see it through their students.

I would recommend this book to all martial artists (regardless if they are just starting out or have been practicing for years). Jamie Seabrook's writing style and information quickly captivates the reader's interest. Martial Arts Revealed was very hard to put down! Congratulations!
