If you are working within an organization, to try and change that organization for the better, this is the book for you. It lays out the day to day problems, realities, and rewards that change makers experience as they lead, succeed, and fail in attempting small and large change efforts. It explains the tightropes we walk, as we try and establish credibility in the language the organization values, while at the same time we work within the system for change, skirting the dangers of being co-opted and losing sight of our change goals, or pushing too hard for change, and being discredited and marginalized. Vivid examples of more and less radical change makers include architects, bankers, executives, academics, and even artists. This book is at once a comfort and a guide as we struggle with the ups and downs of trying to make our organizations better. Unlike many books written for practitioners, this one is is based on years of very careful research. Meyerson is a tenured faculty member at Stanford University, and she writes from the heart, with little jargon and much insight. I assign this book to MBAs, and I read it for myself. An enlightening survey of real-life role models, Ten Amazing People is very highly recommended -- especially for school and community library collections for young readers.

This book offers a unique way of looking at the Bible as an unfolding revelation of God's plan for mankind. Patricia David's book opened my eyes to God's unfolding plan and helped me to understand the cohesiveness of God's message from Genesis to Revelation. This book is for those who want to understand the Bible in the context within which is it was written as well as how to apply it to their life. I would recommend this book to any serious student of God's Word.

Richard Couto's book is a subtle but steady reminder to us all that there is more to be done before we rest. The book was easy to read and relate to "real life," yet packed a powerful message. Recommended reading for anyone!

Among the many books out there on worship, this is one of the best. Andy Park is a mature, bright, theologically-solid, and experienced worship leader. He shares with the reader the fruits of many years of faithful and inspired worship leading and song writing.

Perhaps one of the most engaging aspects of this book is Park's personal openness. As you read, you won't feel like some expert is preaching down at you, but like a wise friend has come alongside to help you become a more effective leader, for God's glory.

Park's church experience is largely in the Vineyard. His writing reflects this experience (naturally), but is also relevant to those of us who are not part of Vineyard (or Vineyard-like) churches. Park's wisdom transcends his particular denomination.

I learned many things from this book and it also touched my heart. I have been encouraged to be a stronger worship leader and, indeed, a more faithful worshiper of God.

Now that I have read this book, I am ordering several copies for friends who lead worship. They will profit richly from this book, and so will you.

I read this book in college and it gave me alot of ideas for formations and taught me how to be a good drill team instructor.

This book gets five stars from me.

This is an excellent book which is written for busy school administrators.

The model is based on five domains: Authentic leadership; Visionary leadership; Cultural leadership; Quality leadership; and Service leadership.

While these domains may not be academically discrete, they are useful to practioners in the field.

The 15 performance roles of the Total Leader are a great guide for a principal's performance feedback. I have converted the 15 roles into a questionnaire which I will give to staff when we return to school after the summer vacation.

Becky has provided an indepth picture of Littleton, North Carolina. From her detailed history of founding fathers to individual family histories she has made this small town come alive. I have especially enjoyed finding information about great great great grandparents and the revealing of new found cousins. The only way Becky can top this is to do another like book covering the years from 1921 to 1990 as it would be the cream of the crop as far as genealogy is concerned. Thanks again Becky for all your hard work.

This book is an everyday desktop reader for all of us involved in TPM implementation. It helps a very simplified understanding of the process and focuses on the most important aspect: Training! Empowerment through education is the goal often missed. This book really helps in this process.
