I was first introduced to Mr. Greenberg's books by my son who actively participates in student government at his high school. Frankly I take issue with Mr. Greenberg's limitation as to whom this book will benefit, i.e. "students". Certainly both these books should be required study for every EVERY student because of the incredibly positive impact the information will have on them, both professionally and personally for the rest of their lives. But in addition I must add, as a business owner with over 3,000 employees and a management team of 50, I have found the principles espoused in Mr. Greenberg's books to be the most effective management training tools we have ever employed in our company. Not only has the skills of our management team significantly improved, but also we have seen an enormous positive impact on all of our employees at all job levels. We now require every new hire in every position within our company to read, outline in their own words and then discuss with their respective department head, the principles taught in these books. We then have them apply the goal-setting strategy to their own hopes and dreams, both business and personal and then meet with them monthly to discuss their progress. The entire culture of our company has changed with the result of a significant heightening of employee morale, a much happier working environment, upbeat positive attitudes, increased production and significantly less turn over. The final result? Increased sales, 98% customer satisfaction and a definite increase in bottom line profit. Thank you Scott Greenberg. I only wish that I had the benefit of your books 30 years ago when I first started building my business.

Wow, what an inspiring book! I have been involved in student government and leadership training since junior high school. This book taught me more than I ever thought I could learn, about getting orginized, setting goals, overcoming obsticles, and acheiving goals now and in the future. The book starts right off by having you list your goals, then shows you simple but powerful ways to acheiving goals you could once only dream of. Being a high school junior, I have an unreal busy schedule, and could never seem to get all of my stuff done in and out of school. The author gave me the tools to overcome my biggest fear: Lack of time and being orginized! The things I learned in this book will make my life way easier, all the way through college. What a confidence builder! I have Mr. Greenberg's second book on order now ("Jump Start Volume 2"). I can't wait to read it!

The collaborative work of Steve and Jill Morris, Leadership Simple: Leading People To Lead Themselves is a guidebook to the practice of managing by teaching people to lead themselves. Models of human thought and action; processes to change one's own behavior in order to better achieve one's goals; sample questions for accurately evaluating one's choices, and a great deal more fill the pages of this highly readable guide, which often couches its ideals and techniques in dialogues specifically intended to assimilate absorption. Leadership Simple is a welcome addition to any personal or professional business management reading list or reference collection.

This book on Lead Management is a real page-turner. It provides usable basic information to put this simple system of leadership to work with others and yourself. It is a fast read. The process at first seems so obvious and simple but when I started using the model deliberately it was life changing. I have read few books that have impacted my life with such immediacy. The diagrams make it very easy to understand and picture in your mind. The questions provided in the system tie directly to the diagrams. Few of the concepts are new but they have never been presented with such clarity in a complete system of thinking and leadership. Actually, I cannot think of another book that presents leadership in a systematic way. I recommend this book for anyone. You donft have to be a leader or a manager to gain a lot from reading this book.

One of the aspects of a good leader is the ability to articulate powerful ideas through powerful words. As a college speech instructor, I am always looking for books which collect memorable and inspirational quotations --- and this book does just that. I was impressed with the emphasis on contemporary leaders and the fact that this book is not a just a re-hash of the quotations we all have from other books. It is easy to read and truly a bargain!

I enjoyed this book, but then I also enjoy great quotes. This is a perfect companion when you just have a few minutes to read. You can pick it up, turn to almost any page, and find something of use. I write a couple quotes down and stick them on my computer for the week. I find I often remember them long after they have been in the trash.

I got more out of this video than I have out of many expensive seminars and conferences I have attended. It's a terrific guide to dealing with change and turning it into opportunity. Drucker and Senge offer insightful observations about the how to prepare for the future. I showed it to a group of colleagues at a company off-site and it helped generate a great discussion. There's a workbook that I used to guide the discussion, and a lot of really good insights throughout the video.

Peter Drucker and Peter Senge explore how each leader can "make the future." Their conversation covers many of the Drucker themes his readers will recognize: the need to abandon the old, the need to build on successes, and the value of leading knowledge workers as if they were volunteers. Peter Senge is a skillful moderator, adding his own comments about the need to focus on creating rather that solving problems. The video package comes with a useful Viewer's Workbook and Notes for Facilitators. This video package is an inexpensive way to bring a provocative conversation into your organization.

This journal has beautiful pictures and wonderful prayers and scripture to base your daily thoughts upon. The pages offer plenty of space to write on heavy durable paper. I highly recommend this journal for daily meditation and reflection!

This Catholic prayer journal/diary is the 2003 edition of this annual publication. It is a beautiful and inspiring help for focusing on the Lord in a person's everyday life. Space is provided for each day of the year for writing reflections, prayers to God, or even appointments if one would choose to use it in that way. Each day gives a brief quote from Scripture and the Scripture citations of that day's Mass readings. Every week begins with a color nature photo and an inspirational quote. This journal helps me focus on how God is present in my days, in my everyday life circumstances. I also give it as a gift at Christmas time.

This is an outstanding book. It tells the real story about the Children's Crusade and the real reasons behind the loss of so many innocent children.

This is an outstanding tale of a little known event. The faith of the children throughout the march to the Holy Land should be an inspiration to all of us. The fact that those who tricked Stephen and his followers into this quest had other plans should not be a surprise to anyone who has read the history of the time.

Grab a fresh highlighter and your notepad when you start to read this book. Hope that your competitors never read it. Why ? The book is packed with useful information. Information that I have used to help myself and clients increase sales... sometimes doubling sales because of what's in the book. Reading this wonderful book is like getting your hands on a secret weapon!

Easy-to-read and well-written advice on what to lead against all types of contracts.

Here is someone coming out from ancient bridge history, talking about rubber bridge, but making absolute sense. Opening leads are a huge part of defensive play and Ewen had them down pat. There are numerous sections on inferences from bidding that are archaic--using strong twos and other such relics--but the principles are invaluable.

This and Klinger's LOSING TRICK COUNT are the two indispensable bridge books, in my mind. They make the difference between average and advanced players.

Fantastic book on dealing with loneliness. I read it over and over for several years after my divorce. I give it to people all the time.

Speaking honestly from a sensitive as well as sympathetic heart, Elisabeth Elliot candidly offers her reader a Light at the end of their tunnel. She touches on every circumstance in life that brings us to loneliness and then points us directly to the One who can ultimately and completely fill that void. I love especially the way she brings in her own struggles and experiences. This book reads quickly and is suitable for anyone who may struggle with loneliness. It gave me hope and a renewed confirmation in God's presence and how He works everything, even the bad things, in life for good.
