The Circle Leads Home
A wonderfully distressful novel! Mary takes you to many complex levels that are part of the experience of being human. This book will not only force you to look at the complex prejudice and discrimination issues in our culture, but will expose parts of your own heart you may not want to see. The characters become vivid and alive and you will miss them for days after the last page has been turned. Kudos! to Mary Anderson Parks. Please don't make us wait to long for your next book. Yes, please do write a sequel and let us know about Sky and Katherine.

A deeply realistic portrait of a Native American women.
Mary Parks has created a character who is believable and real. She makes choices by intuition to preserve her family and herself by returning to her home on the reservation. After making the choice to be there, she makes the best of her difficult relationship with her mother and the man she gets too involved with. This character stayed with me for days as I read her search for herself and her ability to make wrong choice yet not be devastated by these mistakes. I liked her courage and her inner solidity as she makes her way into a new life. The themes of interracial marriage and raising children in a sometimes hostile world are intriguing and touch us as the sturggles of many women in the 90s.

a amazing fantasy of aliens
i loved this book . it mixed fanstsy with science fiction and aventure. This is a book I think everyone would love.

A Fabulous Childhood Memory
For anyone with a lifelong love of books, there are watershed works we read that define new perspectives for us and broaden our perceptions, even while we are thoroughly entertained by the story. I haven't seen this trilogy in over thirty years, and my memories of enjoying the first book, The White Mountains, is a vivid memory, not of a story, but of an experience. For a young reader with a taste for Sci-Fi, this story is gripping as it interlaces an imagined future and the personal growth of the young hero, who becomes an irresistable portal to vicarious adventure.

Chesterton on Catholicism...
Many people don't realize that Chesterton wrote his most famous work, _Orthodoxy_ *long* before he had officially converted to Catholicism. _Orthodoxy_ was published in 1908, and Chesterton was received into the Catholic Church in 1922.

If _Orthodoxy_ was written as a defense of Christian sanity against the heresies of the modern world that were driving men mad, the works contain in this volume are Chesterton's defense of the Catholic Church as the bastion of that Christian sanity.

This volume would be worth the purchase just for the short essay, "What Do They Think?" -- or even for the reminder that "Christianity is not a religion; it is a Church." I *highly* recommend this book.

Answers the question of why Chesterton became Catholic
That answer is summed up by Gilbert's own words, "To get rid of my sins." Indeed, he writes..."For there is no other religious system that does really profess to get rid of people's sins. It is confirmed by the logic, which to many seems startling, by which the Church deduces that sin confessed and adquately repented is actually abolished; and that the sinner does really begin again as if he had never sinned."

And this beauty is found only on page 9. 540 delightful pages follow.

Ignatius Press has done a wonderful deed in reprinting the collected works of Chesterton. This is Volume III, and it deals exclusively with Chesterton's writings on Christ and His Church.

Like all of Chesterton's work it is a delight to read. In it he tries to answer an unanswerable question - that of his conversion.

In the end, Chesterton is left to say, "I might treat the matter personally and describe my own conversion; but I happen to have a strong feeling that this method makes the business look much smaller than it really is.... I would say chiefly of the Catholic Church that it is catholic. I would rather try to suggest that it is not only larger than me, but larger than anything in the world; that it is indeed larger than the world."

Outstanding book in electronics manufacturing
This is a very special book!
The focus of this book is on leadfree soldering: from chip-level interconnects, IC packaging, printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication, to PCB assemblies. It provides many useful information and engineering data related to leadfree soldering. These include: design, material selection, process development, equipment selection, manufacturing, and reliability of leadfree soldering. I found these information very useful for my job as an R&D engineer.

This book is very unique!
Even it's focus is on leadfree sodering, however, this book talks about the major problems created by leadfree soldering. These include halogen-free molding compounds for plastic packages and halogen-free epoxy resins for PCBs. This information helps me to design my electronic and photonic products so they can withstand the leadfree soldering environments.

This book is wonderful!
One of the alternatives to leadfree soldering is to use conductive adhesives. This book talks about this very important subject in great details. I enjoy very much in reading the technical contents underlining this technology.

Overall, this is a great book! I would like to recommend to everyone who is working in electronic and optoelectronic products. Hats off to the authors for writing such a comprehensive handbook on leadfree soldering. Congratulations!

Just a nice Handbook on Leadfree Soldering
I like this book very much! This is the most comprehensive Handbook to leadfree soldering I have ever seen. I learned a lot from this book and it is very useful for my jobs. I carry it with me when I am at work. I open this book when I have problems, and it can always help me find the solutions. I recommend this book to all the manufacturing engineers and managers who are designing and making electronics products.

A Great Book!
This book is an excellent leadership resource, especially for those just beginning to explore leadership definitions. I have used it in leadership training and it is well written and has good illustrations that make the ideas very real and practical.

A book for everyone who wants to make a difference
This is a book for all persons who dream of making a difference. It helps you get past mental models of inadequacy and then gives some explicit stories of persons who did some pretty remarkable things although they never had a title or position of authority. To lead is to serve is the major premise of the book. Belongs in the hands of every person in every community.

Bird's Eye View
I am an experienced foaling technican, seeing hundred of foals safely into the world over the past 15 years. This book is an exciting journey into that secret world; the information is invaluable. I highly recommend it to all "horse" people as well as anyone with a curiosity about life before birth.

Finally I found this book... "The Foal In The Womb"
This book gives great perspective to the development of a foal. Wonderful diagrams! Hard to find information. Can't be beat especially for the price....

inspiring and easy to read
I loved it! A wonderful way to teach children about spirituality. I learned a few things myself.

The very BEST!
As someone who works in religious education with children and parents (sometimes dealing with people of differing faiths, sometimes people new to our faith), this book has been an invaluable tool. My pages are dog-eared and now full of post-it notes. Gently Lead is a perfect book to help parents and teachers view everyday experiences as faith-filled moments. The entries are short and compelling. My favorite, "Fetching and Chopping" and its sequel "And Raking" has helped many parents and children in my experience to learn to transform ordinary work into Godly tasks. This book is perfect for use in preparing workshops, retreats, enrichment sessions for teachers and experiences for children. It is one of the top five books I use in my work as a religious education director. I have bought several copies to lend to my teachers and parents.

A wonderful, heartrending book
I had read of the Lindberghs and of the famous kidnapping before reading this book, but wasn't prepared for the poignant and honest writing by Anne. To read about her life as a newlywed who flew with her husband in the early days of aviation was enthralling, and to read of their problems being pursued and photographed reminded me of Princess Diana being hounded by the paparazzi. The Lindberghs were pioneers in aviation, and were public figures without wishing to be ... how sad that their first child was stolen and then found dead. I was moved to tears reading Anne's descriptions of her son while mourning him; I can't imagine living through such a horrible experience. Her writing is true and beautiful and honest ... a rare treasure.

An Extraordinary Woman, An Extraordinary Book
This is one of the most wonderful books I've ever read. Being only 23 years old the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby was before my time however, this story is timeless. Beautifully written complete with diary entries and family pictures. This book is a true literary classic to be enjoyed by every generation. An honest journey into the heart of a young girl, wife and mother.

A Must for Today's Business Manager
As a retired business manager, I was impressed with How to Lead So Others Will Follow. This book provides down to earth guidlines for training and leading workers of today. It has a warm, appealing style and would be excellent to use as a text for a variety of inservice programs where training is emphasized.

This book was a quick read and very positive.
I bought copies for my sisters and Mom. They loved reading it and it was great to discuss the ideas. We all found it easy to read and we really loved the honesty assessment exercise.

Great reading and cool riffs!
Usually tab books are very dry when it comes to reading. Rightfully so, since we're not buying the book to read. However once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. Very interesting and inspiring stories on the genesis of Judas Priest, the author and his trials and tribulations and the energizing interviews with KK and Glen are by themselves worth the price of the book. Also the licks are some of the classic traditional metal licks that we all should know if were going to playing metal! Highly recommended book however probably not for the beginning student.

JUST GREAT!
this is a great guitar book if you want to play great. they teach you thier methods and everything step by step very good. and they even hav special intervews that were never shown about their life. 10 STARS. Buy it!

Your #1 Judas Priest fan
