It gave me a whole new perspective of lace doilies and ribboWhen I opened this book and started looking at the incredible ideas of how to use a lace doily, or a table runner or a tablecloth and transform them into something beautiful and unique, it completely changed my mind of the way I used to buy lace and ribbons. There are many projects from the easiest to the more complicated but still doables.

A wonderful balance of character and plotIn some of Jo Clayton's books, the biggest shortcoming has
been her tendency to design on a grand scale -- races,
worlds, cultures and dialects in which you could literally
get lost. The focus of the book was diminished as you were
continually distracted by wondering what a particular word
meant or what a particular religion was all about.
In CRYSTAL HEAT, Clayton strikes a precise and enchanting
balance as she presents, again, races and worlds on a grand
scale, but simply presented and not at all a deterrent to
an intricate plot with more twists than a roomful of Chubby
Checkers.

The Curse of Monkey Island: The Official Strategy Guide (Secrets of the Games Series.)

Arr, matey! Ye say you can't figure out how to help Guybrush Threepwood rescue his golden girl, Elaine? This strategy guide will surely help you. The Curse of Monkey Island Official Strategy Guide covers everything the aspiring pirate needs to know: how to socialize with monkeys, how to deal with Guybrush-eating snakes, how to join exclusive beach clubs--even how to cash in on your own life insurance policy. Starting off with a brief version of the long and hilarious history of the Monkey Island games, the book provides a chapter-by-chapter walk-through of the game's many puzzling situations. The best part is that you can get hints to any puzzle without seeing the complete solution--and thereby spoiling the surprise. The solution for each puzzle is printed upside down underneath two or three clues on how to solve it. Toward the back of the book, you'll see some of the great early sketches that led to the game's elaborate art, read about the talented folks who made The Curse of Monkey Island, and learn a few songs to sing along with Guybrush.

Great tutorialA great help for one of the best games ever created. Though, it does not help if you decide to play the "Mega Monkey" version of the game.

The beautiful illustrations make this a worthwhile puchaseThis is a beautiflly illustrated book dealing with a young boy dealing with the loss of loved ones. I highly recommend this book because of the true to life theme and it's nice to see a racially mixed friendship with the the two main characters .

An excellent book well illustrated and documentedThis is a wonderful book filled with facts that the recreational reader, the traveler and student of the Middle East will enjoy. Kreiger takes the reader on the journeys of several explorers in and around these waters. You celebrate with their accomplishments and are saddened with their inability to achieve all their goals Kreiger takes the reader back to prehistoric periods, over 14000 years ago, when Lake Lisan covered most of the Jordan Valley, including the Dead Sea. You are also left with the feeling of traveling down to the lowest point on dry land in this world of ours with the intense heat engulfing your body.
She speaks of the problems brought on by the social forces on this ecosystem. Will the Dead Sea survive? I highly recommend this book.

Decorative Effects: Shortcuts to Designer StyleIf you don't get inspired by just thumbing through this book, then it just isn't the right time for you. I have been able to easily design five rooms, especially with walls, which are basically the blank canvas to each room. The easy "how to" instructions are for anyone; pros, wannabees, or beginners. If you want to be expressive with the interior of your home, invite this book into your home!

Great ChoiceAs a long time visiter to the Owens Valley I found this book to be excellent. Its great for the first time traveler or the person who has been to the valley many times. Its section on side roads is good for those passing through the area and wanting to explore a bit. The history and geology areas are current and answer those questions that arise when encountering the vast numbers of different geological features. While no one guide does it all this book comes close. A great book for those who want a general guide to the valley, its history, geology, flora and fauna.
When Lily reaches the small town where Cole lives, she finds everyone talking about Cole's new advertisement for a... she doesn't know!! But she has to find out, so she goes to Cole's house, where she's almost blown away by his handsomeness. Then she's asked to give him a medical history and what she thinks qualifies her to take on the job of...his baby-maker?!?! Lily goes along with this new and shocking development, but doesn't reveal who she is.
As Lily and Cole grow closer, Lily finds more and more to like about this dark, sexy, intense man who she's falling in love with. The man who doesn't even know she's going to bring him back, reluctantly, to his grandmother for a reconciliation. Will he still care for her when he finds that she's betrayed him?
This was my favorite book of all the Trueblood Texas I have read. Lily was the funniest, quirkiest, and most witty heroine you'll ever meet. And Cole, whoa, he is such a hunk! He's so yummy! He's more cautious around women now (hence the baby-maker) but he's ?willing? to let Lily into his heart. He's such a great wounded hero (sighhhhh). Take a chance and read this magnificent start to a magnificent series. And it's okay to drool over Cole, no one will blame you. Enjoy:>
