The Flute of God is the real thing for people who want to begin directly connecting with Spirit and to discover our higher nature as Soul. My sister gave me the hardcover version of this book for Christmas. I cherish it. Stormie has included simple, straightforward text, scripture, and wonderful prayers for this new bundle entrusted to me by God. My son is almost 11 months old and the magnificent illustrations depict little ones so beautifully.

This book is written in a very contempary way of looking at some of the more boring bible stories. Making stories more contempary help today's woman to better understand them and relate the stories to everyday life in this century. Carolyn is not only a great writter, she is a wonderfully Godly woman, who I am honored to know and learn from.

Bought the book yesterday and sat down this morning to look at it and it is wonderful We've read all these stories before in the Bible, but to hear them in today's language makes them come alive. This book will be on my christmas list for friends.

Written by a white laywoman, it is an honestassessment of both personal struggle on the issueand a critical but loving examination of the failures of religious institutions in addressing this most essential of contemporary problems. As a woman of faith, Branding helps us withthoughtful questions that deepen reflection and draw on the spiritual powers that enable all of us to do the hard work of confronting the demons in ourselves and our society. Having worked with students at a major university, I see this as a text that would be extremely useful for college chaplains and student study groups. I could not recommend it more highly.

Fulfilling the Dream: Confronting the Challenge of Racism fills the need for tangible solutions toward battling the racism that infects our families, communities and places of worship. Study groups within my community and within the congregation I pastor have learned from Branding's faith-based insights not only how to identify racism's powers, but "what to do next" to eradicate, with God's help, destructive prejudice from our private and corporate life. Fulfilling the Dream is an indispensible manual for doing practical liberation theology North American-style.

I came across this audio tape just by chance months after my father died. Listening to it helped me to get through one of life's most difficult times. Dr. Peck brings the reality of death to the meaning of life - a begining and an end. So make the most of the middle. It's a shame this tape is "out of print".

though one can not rule out the possibility of the fear that people have of "death" but this book definately makes it seem simple. well i would say that after reading it one has a positive approach towards death, the only thing we need to remember is that we should'nt forget what this book teaches for most of the people forget things after a while. its definately an extraordinary reading.

Like most things in life, any description I could give you of this book would certainly fall short. Read this book.

If I had to choose one book to be stranded on a desert island with, this would be it. Chagdud Tulku is the real McCoy and his pure good heart shines through with love and wisdom and the TOOLS for us to develop our own. Super well written, it's got humor and a lot of anecdotes that make it a great read (besides the fact that it is the only book I've read that really explained Tibetan Buddhism without making me sleepy). Cover to Cover, it's a must have and a must read!

reading this book, i think very interesting neural network modeling hippocampus. so GOOD

To those students, mostly at the undergraduate level, that are not applied mathematic specialists and have looked for an easy to understand, well written, introduction to Neural Networks in learning processes; this is a must-have book. "Gateway..." is an excellent read, targeted to readers from a wide scope of backgrounds, from Biologists to Computer Science Majors through Medical Sciences.

Although leaning a bit too heavily on the conceptual view of the subject, the book introduces the reader gradually to what a Neural Network is, what a computer model is and how it works.

Two basic tools are of special interest to the reader. First, the beginning half of the book gives a general, yet very complete, introduction of the concepts, history and theory to be used. Second, for those with a little more interest in the mathematics there's a good number of "Math Boxes" delving into the details of the subject(s).

The effect of these tools is that, by the time you reach into the core matter of how neural networks models are constructed and worked in the field of Hippocampal memory, the reader suddenly finds his/herself well-familiarized with the theory. A comfortable, gradual, learning process has taken place without any discomfort (and in less time than you would think!).

This book would not be possible if not for the federally sanctioned, penultimate pyramid scam known as social security. The viewpoints illustrated in this book put into perspective what generational warfare is all about.

Richard Thau and Jay Heflin have assembled an extremely smart and useful anthology for anyone of any generation (especially Gen Xers) who feel in their bones that the next quarter century will bring real trouble. Among their best items are a remarkable 1911 exchange of views between the middle-aged Cornelia Comer (of the Missionary Generation) and the young Randolph Bourne (Lost Generation) that sounds quite similar to the Boomer-Xer dialogue of the '90s--and very different from the Generation Gap of the '60s. It's an instructive example of the cycle of generations at work. You might as well face it, Xers and Boomers: You're going to be tested on all this material, when Social Security enters its melt-down phase later in your lives, so you might as well read the book.
