A Great Desk Reference
This is a perfect book for someone to keep as a desk reference for the personality types. I found the information very valuable even though I own most other books on this subject. It is an outstanding reference for the types in an organizational setting.

Comprehensive and Concise---Perfect for Organizations
I found this booklet to be of extreme value compared to similar products. I used to buy a whole text to give to my clients before this came along. It contains some of the best material I have seen on the Myers-Briggs types. The fact that it has so many great contributors is a value-add. I would recommend this booklet to anyone using Myers-Briggs types in a professional setting. The booklet covers multiple topics including leadership, career development, creativity, stress, problem-solving, personal development, and learning. At first I was overwhelmed with the page count for the types, but after reading the content I was pleasantly excited and couldn't wait to show them to my customers. The book also includes some interesting new information about a new model---MTR-i---which is a team role model based on Jungian type. A very good value for the low price.

Fascinating, well-reasoned reading
"Trace Your Genes to Health" is more than anything else an examination of the current state of the study of heredity and medicine. The author, Chris Reading, is a physician in Australia. After graduating from medical school he became qualified in psychiatry and specialized in organic psychiatry. From this point he began to notice the relationships between vitamin-mineral deficiencies, food allergies, and genetics as they affect neuropsychiatric disorders. Soon he was able to compile data to show that there are genetic factors in many, many problems that are not generally thought to be genetic in nature. Dr. Reading has distilled his years of experience and knowledge into this book.

It is not a book designed for self-diagnosis of problems and that is good. The book does an excellent job of explaining the basics of genetics and how the various types of dominant/recessive, autosomal, and X-linked factors work together to create a genetic pattern of inheritance. Throughout the book Dr. Reading builds a persuasive case for examining the family tree as part of a more holistic approach to health than just treating a symptom that occurs in your generation. Looking at the family history may reveal many clues as to how to treat a problem as well as how to avoid it altogether.

After discussing genetics and how it works Dr. Reading goes into the details of how to make a medical family tree. It includes the information you should be looking for, how to get the information, how to diagram it, and even how to approach your doctor with your findings. This is followed with a section on various illnesses and how they might have a genetic factor. The multiple appendices include information on Illnesses, categorized for family trees, symptoms and signs, congenital defects, phenotypes, sociological data, and recommendations to help you deal with problems.

"Trace Your Genes to Health" is a guide to help you take control of your health through investigating avenues that are generally overlooked. This would be a recommended book for anyone who has noticed a pattern of medical problems in their family and wants to know what can be done to help their doctor treat them. If you suspect that your family has had a pattern of medical problems and want to deal with it before it becomes a problem for you then this book will help you build the information necessary to determine if you need to be concerned or not.

A must have orthomolecular resource book!
Dr Readings Book is work of a pure genius. Getting patients to track family illness to determine proper treatment is what is lacking in the current medical practice. Not only can the cause of disease be treated and identified but prevented in the newer generations. The book contains excellent case studies of those who have recovered from serious mental/physical sickness from using the knowledge of the family tree. I would recommend it as a must orthomolecular resource book.

Why isn't this book in print?
I have several economic books, yet this book (written by economic investment professionals) is the most understandable, readable, and usable book on economics I know of. You can understand this material without knowing economics! Since it gives web site addresses for the actual data, you can view the economic results online or sign up to have the results e-mailed to you. It includes tables, so you have a comparison guide to help you figure out whether the data fits in the recession, recovery or expansion phases. As someone who came to economics through the back door (from observation of the markets), economic data does MOVE the markets......This book should be considered essential for traders or investors!

The most important book a trader will ever read
The new edition of "Trading The Fundamentals" is a book no trader should be without.

This book explains what is important about each release, how they are compiled, and how the market interprets them.

If I could choose only one book - THIS WOULD BE IT.

Worth the money!
As a Human Resources professional, I found this to be a valuable guide in team building for a group I support in a biotech company. It was chuck full of exercises, guides, and useful information to help teams and businesses use the MBTI for maximum results. We had a very successful offsite with the help of this book.

Strong Support Material for Myers-Briggs Facilitators
Sandra Krebs Hirsh compiled a gold mine for trainers and individuals who use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) in their organizations. This book contains more than 200 pages of material, exercises, and scripts in a convenient 3-ring binder format.

Hirsh begins with an overview of preparation, ethics, and confidentiality which will be a familiar review to all qualified MBTI practitioners, then moves to introducing the MBTI to an organization. Her sample scripts for running workshops of various lengths are concise, complete, and transition smoothly between the learning points. She includes 29 frequently asked questions, and answers them.

Part 5 contains advanced tips for tailoring workshops to specialized groups, providing information on six possible applications, including: Management Development, Team Building, Career Development, Time Management, Creative Problem Solving, and Train-the-Trainer.

Hirsh includes more than 90 masters to use with more than 40 exercises. Access to these scripts, masters, and exercises has saved me many hours of time while developing workshops for my organization.

(Those interested in purchasing this manual should be aware that MBTI's owners strictly require those administering and interpreting the indicator be qualified.

This was so accurate, it scared me.
This book was incredibly accurate in describing me when I'm under stress. I never knew why, when under stress, I can't seem to keep track of ANY details and I become completely disorganized. Upon reading the book, I found out that people of my personality types (I'm an ISXJ, which means that I fit most of the description for both ISFJ, and ISTJ) tend to lose control of facts and details in their lives, which these 2 personality types are normally pros at dealing with. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of the MBTI types by learning how the types act when under stress (and "in the grip" of their inferior function).

So, was it really me?
This has to be one of the most interesting books I've yet read on Jungian/Briggsian personality type dynamics, and probably one of the most accurate as well, when it comes to predicting how a certain personality will react when under stress. Actually, that is the central topic to this fascinating book: how different, normal personalities react in different ways to external stressors, which vary, as well, by the 16 different types.

What's fascinating is to see, for example, that as an INTP, my stressors are radically different than they would be for an ESFJ (my polar opposite). What I find to be stressful, someone of another personality type would find to be the ideal situation in which to find him/herself. My stressors include: routine work, having my space intruded on at work, situations that involve lots of forced small talk, deadlines, inefficient paperwork and excessively (to me) emotional situations. And yet, someone else might find precisely these kinds of things heavenly.

I found typical INTP (related, ISTP) reactions to highly stressed situations to be very true for me as well. From the bitter cynicism, to blowing up emotionally and completely losing control, to losing complete touch with logic, I've seen every one of these behaviors in me when I'm pushed to the max, and am forced into the depths of emotion. Sometimes I don't stay there very long, in fact, I honestly hate being there, exactly as Quenk mentions.

What's even more interesting about this book, is that the behaviors are culled from Quenk's experiences and interviews with hundreds of different individuals from all personality types. While each person's reaction is very slightly different within the explorations of the sixteen types, it's very easy to see some very common patterns. Quenk does this in a very well thought out and a thouroughly researched manner.

My one (VERY) small gripe with the book is that there appears to have been a template used for each of the personality type chapters, because the introductory paragraphs to each subsection of each chapter are identical. But, with the sheer wealth of information in this book, it's really almost irrelevant. I've learned a lot about how to handle my "grip" and stressed behaviors a bit better, and to understand others' stressors as well.

A wonderful book, and a must-read reference for everyone!

Your family tree is a book that may save your life!
What better gift to your family than a tool to improve their health?

Your Family Tree Connection provides a step-by-step guide for identifying and reducing your risk of developing illnesses which result from an interraction of inherited genes and environmental toxins. These identified conditions suggest the need for special dietary interventions which this book outlines.

Dr. Reading reports on the recovery of several cancer patients following dietary intervention, in addition to conventional treatments. He also reports a number of dramatic recoveries from very serious autoimmune and other ailments which can be alleviated by dietary restriction of some foods which are relatively recent additions to the human food supply.

This book would make a wonderful gift for those who are struggling with autoimmunity or malignant conditions. It may offer them a new lease on life. I found it a wonderful and informative work; one that could have saved some of my family members from many years of suffering.

I hope that is helpful. best wishes, Ron hoggan

Informative and very interesting
This book gives you an insight into how illness that may have plagued your family years ago, or still do, can affect YOU. All throughout the book you come accross intersting facts about the connection your health has with that of your ancestors. I believe that most people would never know that their medical conditions could be understood better and from that, treated more effectively if the doctor could see the family's history. The research, expertise and the way it is written is all credit to the two authors. I would recommend this book to anybody who has a medical problem and would like to see if research into their family history could improve their condition. I know that this book can help.

Big Statistics= Great Small Talk
This book is not a good read- it an excellent calender or mantra. Flip to any page look at the graph, read the explanatory paragraph and then sit back and absorb it. Tuck it away into that space of your brain that you pull out at social events and e-mail one liners, "Did you know that there are 512 Billionares while one in every four people lives off of 1$ a day?" This book does not preach, it just hits you over the head with statistics and easy to understand graphs. If you have ever wondered how countries and people within countries compare to the rest of the world then keep this on your coffee table and EAT IT UP with your coffee. Everything from Literacy Rates to Food to Labor Distribution is in this "book", making it a mini-crash course in World Health, Economics, Politics and Social Change all at once.

Clear, big font, has details if you want them, and half the book is nothin' but pictures.

compact information
A concise reference book with listings for a wide variety of artists' auction records from numerous auction houses. Rather than list all works for a given year, this guide provides the hammer price in dollars, french francs and british pounds along with the auction details for one or a few representative records. It lists the number of works reported as sold next to the artist's name. Compared to other auction reference books this is very affordable and easier to carry around for on-site research. I keep mine with me and check it when I'm shopping at antique stores and retail galleries.

Must read this if you're engaged in freshwater conservation
The book provides very thorough insights into biological foundations in relation to water resource management in North America. For those learners and researchers who are interested in biogical monitoring using index of biotic integrity(IBI), there is a lot to gain from the book. One strength of the book is that it provides many examples of IBI regional applications, which are especially useful for those who are planning to introduce IBI to regions where it has not been developed or tested so far. Many chapters are devoted to fish IBI, while invertebrate IBI is also explored a bit. Another strength of the book is that it relates biological criteria to conservation policy, thus making the nature of it interdisciplinary and practical. The book is also practical in the sense that it elaborated on field sampling methods. The book is probably best for intermediate/advanced learners and researchers of this field, and a bit unsuitable for public reading. Biological foundations and their integration into conservation policy in this book are also valuable for people who are working in freshwater conservation and water resource management outside North America. In fact, I am a graduate student from Japan studying in Canada, and I am sure that the book contains valuable information for my home country, too. I definitely rate the book 5 stars!
