Then you should check out Charles Stanley's book Listening to God. Two years ago I received this book as a gift and I just put it on the shelf. When I finally read the book I realized that if I would have read it the first time I would not have been faced with the issues that I am struggling with today.

In this book Charles Stanley not only teaches the reader how to listen to God, but he also tells the reader how to take that new knowledge and apply it in real life situations. He uses examples and stories from his own life, which helps the reader relate to the new concepts and issues. Each point is backed with scripture and is followed by questions that will make the reader take a closer look at his or her walk with God.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is stumbling in their walk with God or anyone who is trying to strengthen their relationship with the Lord. This book, although it is apart of a Bible Study series, does not necessarily have to be read in the correct order. Just pick it up, read it and don't give up because the Lord will use it to show you the way!

I really enjoyed reading this book and thought it was excellent. Not only did it focus on the "why do I feel this way" aspects of emotions, but it also offered great suggestions on how to deal with our emotions. The book focuses on emotions in general, but then gradually confronts specific emotions such as anger, fear, anxiety in later chapters. It gives great examples on what to do when you feel a certain emotion and how to deal with it. What I liked even more is that the text was backed up with great biblical verses and it also made you think. I've already started putting the book to use and I can already see a change in the way I think and react to my emotions! The only problem with this book is I wish it were longer! :) Highly recommended!

'God Has A Purpose For Everything That Happens To You', is the Introduction to this book that, along with 'Another', may in fact change your life forever. Charles Stanley has been blessed with a powerful Gift from God to teach His Holy Word...that is equaled by "very" few. His 'In Touch' Ministry is indeed IN TOUCH with the Holy Spirit God Himself (Now find out more...).

Do you ever pray and say something like, "Why, God, does this still hurt????" or "I try to believe but it looks like things are really going to Hell"??? And then you wait for the answer but it's not very clear? Well, evidently, Marie Shropshire has had those moments too because what she has done with this book is to answer these questions for us in the voice of God.

The book is set up as a series of short letters on various subjects. At the top of each page is our voice, asking, for example, on page 12, under the title of Deeply Hurt, "Lord, I didn't know a person could hurt as deeply as I do and still live. How can I go on?" And, then, beneath, the rest of the page is God's answer to us. In this example, He begins, "My child, I know your heart is broken, but trust me, one day at a time. Put your hand in mine. I will lead you through this dark valley."

The book is broken down into two sections. First, there's He Leads Through The Valleys, (my example came from that section), which offers help during the hard times, and then, Into His Glorious Light!, which encourages praise and thanksgiving in the good times. My only gripe is that there's no table of contents or index list so you have to leaf through the book to find the topic you're seeking. However, this is a book I'm willing to leaf through.

This book is going directly to my bedside table and it will probably become a permanent fixture there with my favorite Bibles. It will be tear-stained and dog-eared in no time. God bless Ms. Shropshire for writing this book.

Everytime I open this book, I find the exact words to speak to my heart and soul on the page my fingers find. Without fail.

I am taken aback at this precision, and I thank God for the many times that I have found peace meditating on the words of this book.

As titled, In Touch with God, truly speaks to a prayerful heart.

I cary this book with me everywhere I go. I just bought 2 extra copies to give as christmas gifts. When you are hurting, scared, angry, crying or lonely this book is like a dear friend---comforting you with God's words. Thank you Marie for writing this book for me. Joni Ridgell

My first encounter with this book was when a friend came to see me when I was down with back problems. She read me 3 of the short stories. It was a wonderful time of reflection and gaining a new perspective on life. Arthur Gordan has a wonderful gift of painting word pictures in your mind. I am so pleased with this book that I have ordered two more copies for friends.

During the struggles of life, this book can offer comfort. It makes one look at life with a different perspective. We sometimes should stop and thank God for what we have! I think this book makes you do that in a wonderful way, a way that fills your spirit!!!

There are many personal struggles that we face in life that should be easy enough to cope with. Whether self-imposed or not, much pressure is added to hurry up and get the job done. This book has a way of reminding us all how important it is to stop and smell the roses, instead of just the coffee. It sets the stage and gives new meaning to what the important issues are in life. This book also gives refreshing, positive methods that can help anyone to achieve success in any circumstance within the realms of the stress filled world in which we find ourselves today

I have known Don Bovey for about 40 years, and know firsthand that he is a true man of God. I waited about 7 years for him to finish the book, but it was worth the wait. And, it certanly caused me to spend more time in the Bible than usual.

Don Bovey's book "In Touch with Eternity" is an excellent resource book for studying the Ten Commandments. Details about the origins of the Ten Commandments are clearly explained. And linkage between the Prophets and Kings of the Old Testament describe true case studies on how the Ten Commandments reveal guidance for these special people.

Knowing Don personally, he writes just as he speaks. I enjoyed his book immensley. "Two Thumbs Up" to Don. The beginning and the end, the Ten Commandments are as Don would say "Timeless".

I have read this book several times. I love the emotion. Markess, is indeed in touch with every emotion in this book. There is sadnes, joy, love and pain. I can feel it in the words so beautiful put together. You can learn a lot about the author by reading his poems. He has a lot of emotion. And what better place to express them than in his writings. Much Love.

Although the title claims it, it is hard to believe. BUT... I've been put IN TOUCH! I could identify with almost every poem written. I reminisced, laughed, cried and blushed a bit with every word. He captured those feelings and emotions of my life experiences that left me thinking "If I only had the words". He had the words, rhyme and insight that truly put me "IN TOUCH WITH EVERY EMOTION".

I have been looking around for a food instructional book in Latin dancing for a long time. I think I have finally found what I was looking for. This book not only looks great, but you can actually learn from it. The illustrations are very clear and the explanations below tell me exactly what is going on. Thois book is great for someone like me that can't spend hours in front of the TV.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know what these Latin dances are. A great present too!

This is easily the best book I've bought. The instructions are simple and very easy to follow.There are photos to illustrate every conceivable move.It has made my introduction to Salsa very fast and enjoyable. It's fantastic ,I hope they produce more for the next level so I can progress further.

"Keeping your kids in touch with God" is a information filled book written by Robert Laurent for parents and anyone working with youth. The author discusses many of the reasons children turn away from the church, and suggests ways to prevent this. Some of the topics include, self-esteem, peer influence, the media, parental relationships, and lack of family harmony. Many of the topics have application guidlines which could be used in non-Christian homes, making it a book useful for all families. I love the way Laurent designed the book. Using questionnaires and other research, he goes inside what teenagers today are feeling to give readers a kid's perspective of the big picture. The big picture being, why kids turn from God. This book is a very practical one. Each chapter ends with some suggestions as to how we can build our children up and towards God. The book is easy to read, using very down to earth, day-to-day examples of family life. I would recommend this book to any person who will be in contact with children whether in a family, in ministry, or in any potential relationship building environment. It gives sound advice on how to walk along side your kids and guide them towards a fulfilling lifestyle.

I never thought I'd be able to meditate and had just about given up when I found this tape. The harp music is soothing and so is Joyce's voice. Now I'm able to drift off and relax in a way I never thought possible.
