THE BEST!
This book it awesome, Mike and Katie are bestfriends until one night when they sleep together, then they both have problems with the feelings they have as a result of that one night. Katie made a pact with two of her friends never to marry an MD, but she can't help her feelings for Mike. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. This book is definately a keeper. I can't wait for the next book in the series, Prince Charming, MD by Susan Mallery.

A story with heart, soul, and a forever kind of love.
The dilemma of Katie and Mike is classic in that many a wonderful friendship has been destroyed by intimacy that should not have happened. In this story, happily, the intimacy probably should have found fruition long before it did, but Christine Flynn's characters went through some realistic, awkward times trying to come to grips with their true feelings for each other.

This book kept me up to all hours, because I couldn't let go until Katie and Mike learned it was okay to love each other deeper than casual friendship provides.

Katie's relationship with her father came from Christine's own tender, knowing heart as she wrote those words. The result is one of the most beautiful, poignantly-written stories of Ms. Flynn's books. I couldn't put it down. -Lee Emory

Her best friend becomes her lover...
Katie Sheppard, RN, and Mike Brennan, MD, are lifelong best friends. Neither has ever thought of the other as a romantic interest -- until one night when then manage to end up in bed together. From there, each fighting it all the way, they begin to see each other in a whole new light. This is a warm, moving, tender story about the real meaning of friendship and love. I couldn't put it down and didn't want it to end. It's part of a series called Prescription: Marriage about three nurses who swear never to marry MDs. I can't wait to get the next book, Prince Charming, MD, by Susan Mallery.

Stephanie's writing style is engaging and encouraging. The information is fresh, her advice is right on the mark and when applied to real life situations, actually works! I highly recommend this book to everyone in the hospitality industry. Newcomers and veterans can benefit from Stephanie's expertise and kindly guidance. In addition, she is a truly gifted speaker with tremendous appeal. Her audiences have given consistant high marks on the quality of her delivery and the value of her information.

Full House : Selling Rooms & Space With Style & Grace
This is a must read for all of our new employees. We have several copies in strategic locations around the hotel. It is so easy to just pick it up and read a chapter or two in your spare time. The concepts are broken up into succinct chapters and are well defined. I highly recommend this book for the seasoned sales veteran, who needs a quick brush up, and the first time sales person, who needs to learn it all from the ground up. This book covers all the bases.

Great Reference Material
One of the most comprehensive and information books on the market in it's field. Anyone interested in selling rooms/meeting spaces should have this book in their reference library!

Great for any fan of Full House
On one side of the book D.J. talks about her thoughts and on the other side Stephanie talks about her thoughts. They each enter their families in the big happy family of the year. Will they win? Find out by reading this book.

Full House
The book has pictures of the Full House family. D.J. shares her thoughts on her side. Then if you flip the book over Stephanie shares her thoughts. Both Stephanie and D.J. get interviewed by Michael Fabres so they can enter the Big Happy Family of the Year.

Full House behind the scenes
This book is really cool. It may be short, but it tells so many details andfacts about the actual charactersand their real life. I mean, did you know that Joey Gladstone is really Danny Tanner's best friend in real life? I didn't until I read this book. Itis really cool and I give it 5 stars. It's a must-have!

A great book for the DIY furniture repair
This is a great introduction book to furniture repair.

The book is organized in these main sections:
1. Tools and materials 63 pp.
2. Structural repairs 98 pp.
3. Preserving an original finish 20 pp.
4. Stripping, finishing, and hardware restoration 43 pp.

The most valuable for me was the section on structural repairs. Over 20 projects that need various repair jobs, each is done, step by step, illustrated with lots of clear, full-color photos.

This book would well-equip you to handle most repairs of a non-conservation nature (not highly valuable pieces).

Brian, if you're listening, I'd like to see you do a book this size on touch up, repair and color matching!

INCREDIBLE BOOK
This is a fantastic book. You could actually teach from it it is so detailed and comprehensive. The author includes the small details that most how-to books leave out. With this book, you can actually complete a project from start to finish. With most books, there are huge gaps in the information that leave you guessing.

An excellent book for information about refinishing
A great "how-to" book to have in your collection of handy man guides.

Excellent pictures, clear directions, and many examples, make this book easy to follow.

Well done and great drawings
Both my husband and I really enjoyed this book. The projects are interesting and the pencil drawings are great. In one case, we used their project as a starting point and went from there.

Most of the projects are NOT simple DIY stuff, so make sure you want do do a project that is covered in the book. It is not a generalized building manual that is applicable to building in general.

To complete the projects, you will need a good table saw, radial saw, circular saw or compound mitre saw, a good jig saw or band saw, portable drill or drill press, and power sander such as a 5 or 6 inch orbital sander or belt sander, plus the usual standard hand tools.

Lovely daydream book
This is one I'll keep going back to -- in fact some of these projects are really do-able! My only caveat is that the type face, although pretty, is difficult for old eyes to make out even with reading glasses. Fortunately the pictures are lovely enough to be worth the price, all by themselves.

Summerhouse changing my life
I have almost finished building the summerhouse in Garden Retreats. It overlooks a bay where swan , ducks and other birds come over every day to watch my progress. This has been one of the most gratifying projects I have ever attempted. It has been time consuming, but worth it. I have even put in electric as suggested in the book. I highly recommend this book and this project. Once I got the summerhouse enclosed, I could trim out the interior and it was plenty warm inside the space. I can't wait until summer when I can sit inside the summerhouse and watch the sun go down.

The Best Book out there for "the old ways"
I found a copy at a garage sale, took it home to my husband.
In the process of moving, changing jobs, we had to once give up all our stuff, including this book.

Now that we want the self reliant country lifestyle on a 5-40 acre farm, we can't find another book like it in the world. And my husband won't settle for anything less. He's read other self reliant books, but ..."Nothing is like that Gene Logsdon
book you bought me"....he says.

A wealth of information. Good information on building fences, gates in unique and interesting ways. Much foregotten information, you will hardly find elsewhere.

Rhonda Thomas,
hopeful homsteader

Super information in a very readable format
Gene Logsdon's book is my all-time favorite useful title, with plenty of pictures and simple descriptions of the skills. When we moved "back to the farm" (actually, we'd been raised in Los Angeles, and were just starting out in a self-sufficient life-style), this book was literally a lifesaver. We're building a privy now, using some Logsdon ideas -- I can't thank this guy enough!

Common Sense Everyday Skills For Survival
If you want a book to help you through tough times cheaply, this is it! An emergency situation may cause books such as this one to be a life saver. You can find it on Bibliofind & other online used book shops.

Covers:

1. Maintaining & Repairing House Items

2. Home Comfort: Buying a Wood Stove; Getting the most heat from fireplaces; Running Water. The Hydrolic Ram.

3. Making and Making Do

4. Food Prep: Milk from the cow to the fridge; Homemade Butter, Butchering a chicken, Hog Butchering, Practical Wild Foods.

5. Yard & Garden: Things To Build & Maintain

A Practical Privy, Septic Tank principals, cistern, dry stone walls & fences, building Icehouse Coolers, A Wood heated fruit dryer (dehydrator) Garden Skills: Hoemanship, Low Cost Hothouse frame, Homemade bug fighters.

6. Around The Barn: Basic Construction & Livestock Tips.

7. On The Land: In The Fields: A Farm is a large garden OR a garden is a small farm. Tools for small Time gardens.

(NOTE: I just hit the "basics of this book.) I have used several of his ideas: One was how to keep a mile long gravel road from "washing" out using a gravel trench type drain with 2 railroad ties filled with loose rock.

I weigh 100 lbs. soaking wet, am a female, & can honestly say this book is high on my list for learning practical skills! CJ

terrific
It is easy to understand & follow. I have made like the big bear it turned out lovely. I really enjoy doing plastic canvas crafts. I some times add little things to the lovely patterns. It sets them off.

Fantastic.
The book is filled with lots of ideas. I have made seven items from it already (as gifts of course)and they are very well received. Plastic canvasing is my new addiction!

this book is loaded with ideas for everyone you know.
I found this book to a definite value for the money spent. It has patterns for even the hardest person to make for. The patterns were differant, and beautiful. It was well made and packed with content. I wish I had all the series to go with this one. Other books I enjoyed to go with this one was Looney tunes in plastic canvas book 7.

Another One for Morris
This is another very enjoyable book in the House of Winslow series. The only thing to think about is that the book is enhanced by knowing the family history, starting with the first H of W book. They are well worth reading.

A Good Book
When I heard that Gilbert Morris was adding another book to the House of Winslow series, I was a little hesitant to pick it up. Because after 23 books I was growing a little weary of this particular series. But my curiosity got the better of me and so I decided to pick it up. I was not disappointed! This is a really good book! It's captivating, thrilling and romantic!! But..... it did remind me of the book, The Scarlet Thread, by Francine Rivers. Although there are major differences it was strangely similar. But I still thought it was a good book, beacuse it was different in its own way. So even if you have read The Scarlet Thread I'd still reccommend this book beacuse its just as good!

Another Wonderful book by Gilbert Morris!
I was again awed at the wonderful work by Gilbert Morris in this 24th book in the House of Winslow series. This series continues to thrill me and make me anxious for the next one. I have read all of these books so far and hope to read the many more Mr. Morris comes out with. Leah decides to marry Stuart Winslow even though her pastor and friends tell her not to. She's a fine Christian, but Stuart has a bad reputation with women. He's too much of a party man and not until it's too late does he realize that. After repeated encounters with his wife (a few years after their married) he goes out to have a good time, which lands him in Tucker Prison. For about 7 years, he endures life behind bars. A few years after being in prison, he comes to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. When he finally gets out of prison, he realizes how much he's lost and is about to lose. Can he win the trust and respect back of his wife and father and children? And if he does, will the terms of his pardon get in the way? Find out in this thrilling and enchanting new addition to The House of Winslow series! Enjoy! I thouroughly recomend this book!

Perfect Introduction to the Little House Series...
Adapted deftly from the Little House series made famous by Laura Ingalls Wilder, this gorgeous picture book tells of Laura's first day trip with her family from the Big Woods to the nearby town of Pepin Wisconsin. The writing is charming and warm, the typeface perfect for reading aloud or independently. The illustrations, inspired by Garth Williams' originals, are extraordinary...absolutely beautiful! I would not consider this adaptation to be a "dumbed down" version of the originals, nor it is too juvenile for older readers. Rather it is a perfect transition piece which lends itself to wonderful cuddling and conversation, both of which are important for developing strong readers no matter how old they may be.

I would also recommend the hardcover editions. They last longer through many readings and make reading aloud feel like a real treat.

Enjoy.

Great series of books
When I was a kid my dad got me the whole Little House series of books. I loved them and read them for years. Now I have 2 daughters of my own and I'm thrilled to be able to introduce them to the Little House books at a younger age. The illustrations are great and the stories are well written. As I'm reading them to my daughters I remember the stories when I read them as a kid. Fun for all of us!

enchanting book for all youngsters
