Widershien is Boston's answer to Henry Roth. In his lyrical memoir he defines the sensibility of a young Jewish kid in the Dorchester section of Boston, much as Roth did in his classic work Call It Sleep, that took place in New York City. In simple, emotive language Widershien has created a compelling and memorable piece of work.

This book gives you the basic information about the F/A-18 & very nice pictures. What I am impress is the pictures are in color, it is very difficult to find this kind of pictures. The information provided are very basic but it will satisfied you. This book will be a valuable aset to fans of the F/A-18 because it has very amazing pictures & very basic but complete information about the F/A-18 Hornet.

I got this book through a friend in London, he bought it for me when it first came out in hardcover last year and brought it over to me about a week later. I read it in a day it was great. In America so little is known about Slade, much less Noddy Holder, but if any one wants to check out a really great band and man then get this book and a few Slade C.D.'s. My only regret about this book is not flying back over to London to have Noddy autograph it for me at the Virgin Megastore last November. This book is the life's story of one of the few truly great rock n' roll front men, Noddy was born to be the ultimate entertainer. He also has the best voice in rock music ever. Too all Americans who have banged their head to Quiet Riot's versions of "Cum On Feel The Noize", and Mama Weer All Crazee Now" Check out the real thing here. This book is about Abbie, a lighthouse keeper. She was 14 when she set foot on the rock. The book describes what it was like living on the rock, and what it was like taking care of the lights. The book describes very well what it was like living back when there were no switch lights. They had to use a wood basin to clean themselves in, and in the winter she had to scrape the ice off the glass of the lighthouse windows. In one of the chapters there was a big storm. The sailers got together and got her a big silverbowl for maintaining her courage and being faithful to her duty. It was a very good book about lighthouse history. Cami and Kristina (age 8)

Marilyn Cooper is no stranger to creating wonderful coffee table books such as this. In years past, she has blessed living rooms across the globe with such titles as "Pictures of Tile," "A Price Guide to Tubs: Prices Not Included," and "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man Feverishly Scrubbing Grout" which garnered a Pulitzer. She also co-wrote the book "Creative Floor Polishing for Couples" with her husband Alice Cooper and Pamela des Barres. Few would argue, however, that "The Pictoral Guide to Toothbrush Holders: Price Guide Included" is her unsung masterpiece.

With photographer Herb Ritts carefully choreographing each superb shot, it's not hard to see why this tome has earned it's place in the upper echelons of toothbrush holder coffee table books. Cooper is guilty of excellent judgment in surrounding herself with superior talent in her work, and her choice of Ritts is no exception. Take for instance the beautiful photograph of Shane MacGowan's rust-stained toothbrush holder on page 73. Ritts' photography accentuates the concept of addition by subtraction. Since MacGowan obviously does not own a toothbrush, the streaks of brown from years of dormancy take on a greater role. Genius. The artistry that Cooper uses in displaying the price is equally mesmerizing. "$1.59" absolutely glows from the page. Other celebrity toothbrush holders are also given similar star
treatment. Particularly enlightening is the almost empty tube of Topol subtly lying next to Gary Coleman's pewter toothbrush holder. It says so much by only saying "$25.99". Bravo Marilyn!

Unfortunately this book is now out of print, but diligent antique hunters would be best advised to dig through any collection of illustrated bathroom accessory coffee table books that they come across with hopes of finding this title. I already own a copy, but I wish you the best in trying to wrestle it away from the furious scratching from my claw-like fingers.

History, geography, folklore, photography,gardening, health and most of all, good cooking... I received my copy from a real santa claus.

This atlas is perfect for medical students in just about any year. It is great for students taking anatomy because it shows cross sections that help you understand where structures are as they move through the body.

Fantastic correlation between the gross cross sections and then the MRI or CT scan on the same pages for easy comparision back and forth. The labels are very clear and easy to read. Great book to use for studying for exams!

I would recommend this book for any student taking gross anatomy or radiology. Also great for students just to quickly refresh radiology skills in any rotation.

I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to know about socially responsible business, and how to go about preparing a report on socially responsible and environmentally sustainable business through involvement of stakeholders. The book gives a good conceptual and historical introduction and background into governance and the problems and issues of shaeholder governance. Both authors have had involvement in triple bottom line reports and audits of The Body Shop, which gives a realistic base to their comments. Highly recommended.

Story of Jesus birth with simple scripture text. Beautiful life like pastel pictures. Perfect length for a preschooler's attention span.
