A damn good book !This is a great book for the muscle-car lover. Its comprehensive, offers accurate and complete technical specs and great photos of some of the hottest american cars ever produced. This book is recommended only for men 45 years old or older, its not appropriate for these young guys that werent even around when these cars were conceived and built!
Great Book!I am a muscle car lover through and through and this book has all the info a true muscle car guru could ever hope to find. The pictures are well done and I liked the overall style of the book. I hope to find more like it using amazon.com!

A Solid Summary of Adventure-Based Therapy w/ Young PeopleI recently read this book for a Master's-level Group Work course. The author succinctly outlines a number of adventure/recreation-based activties, how they are executed in a therapeutic setting, and the benefits of each technique. The experiences and histories of many children and teens with this type of therapy are shared, as well, giving readers real-life examples of such programs.
A Must Read For Couples With ChildrenThis book has helped my husband and me understand our teenagers and "tweeners" so much more. I recommend it to all couples who have children. Hopefully it will save you a lot of grief. It is a must read. Thank you, Jason Holder, for this valuable information. P.S. By the way, I think all schools should have this book!

Thoughts on "Crows: An Old Rhyme", by Heidi HolderI loved this book. The illustrations are incredibly beautiful, which is why I bought the book, but I've also read the story over and over. The excerpt about crows in the back is delightful. I'm so taken with the beauty of the illustrations that I plan to paint a select few on my granddaughter's nursery wall.
Beautiful Counting Rhyme Full Of Magic Illustrations !CROWS combines masterful pictures with a clever counting poem that will delight children and adults alike - a wonderful gift for parents or as a coffee table book! I have one my nephew gave me and it sits on my living room table in Autumn! The kids know only very special books go there and this is one of my favorites!

Defense by Thinking, not by RoteThis is a superb work, chock-full of insights and intelligently organized by topic. Here's two key examples of frequently occurring dilemmas sorely neglected elsewhere: (A) Defending a suit contract as third hand, you can either cash a high card in a side suit, setting up a winner in dummy, or you can underlead your high card to give partner a ruff. Which should you do? In practice, either may be correct, depending on the context of the entire hand. Kantar gives a COMPLETE autopsy of exactly what to think about in order to make the correct choice. (B) Defending a suit contract as third hand, you hold ATxx in a side suit. Dummy hits with a small singleton in that suit. Kantar points out that you KNOW declarer is going to lead that singleton through you sooner or later, probably sooner. Do you fly in with the Ace or duck (smoothly)? The latter is more often correct, but not always. Here too, Kantar gives precise guidance on what to think about in order to choose the correct defensive play. The well over 500 tips in the book are loaded with good advice such as "When declarer doesn't dare lose the lead and is guessing which finesse to take for the fulfilling trick, cover NOTHING."
Eddie Kantar is best bridge writer... ever!Humorous and in language that I can really understand.

The Faber Dictionary of Euphemisms

Useful guideThanks to this book, I've been able to find less descriptive, but far more romantic, substitutes for some of my more colorful colloquialisms refering to you know what, such as "Driving the pig-skin boat to tuna-town." Highly recommended for those guys whose parents, like mine, saved a bundle of money by not sending me to charm school.
Good stuffGenerally a good guide to these verbal blow-cushioners, though I do wish further explanation was offered on the question of nuance and connotation. Something may attract several euphemisms, each with a different shade of meaning or emphasis - further explanation might have been given to help select the most appropriate. I still feel mortified after inviting my bemused urologist to inspect my spam missile.

Wonderful for young childrenI absolutely love this book! And so are my kids (2 and 3 years old). Beautifully illustrated with wonderful art and bright colors, the "Story of Jesus" is retold in simple words and short, easy to understand sentences - which I realized from my experience with my little ones, is very important when you read to young children. The story covers key moments in Jesus' life, starting from His birth, His baptism, His ministry, but most importantly it focuses on His love for children and mankind. Even the death of Jesus is explained in a very simple manner (I was always afraid to read to my children about the way Jesus died , thinking the story would be a bit too much for them to understand), but the author doesn't dwell on the negative side of it, but goes on to the joy of the resurrection, which made it easy for me to present to the kids the whole concept of Salvation through Jesus' great sacrifice. All in all, a wonderful book! A must have in your child's library! Five stars!
Excellent gospel presentation for childrenI recently used this book on a medical mission trip to Belize. I found that it most clearly presented the Gospel for children. I added a page with a child's version of the 4 spiritual laws. The book was well received by the children and my supply was exhausted. The illustrations are colorful and captivating. I will continue to use this book for future trips.

I knew Mr. Ronald J. SharpWhen I was in the Army, at the 545th Ord. Co., I knew Dr. Ronald J. Sharp, and he was the best Doctor one could every hope for. We had an emergency, l975 or 76, and he flew in to take charge of a patient that blew half his face away with an M16 rifle; thanks to him he survived, I was the NCOIC in charge that evening, of the Nuclear Site in West Germany. Now I'm married and live in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Lima, Peru with my wife Rosa Penaloza, my name is Dennis L. Siluk, an author of some 19-books. But his books are sure the best, no doubt....
Better than read it, only helping Dr. Ashcraft in a surgeryI am a Pediatric Surgery, and a Professor of Pediatric Surgery at ULBRA ( Brasilian Luteran University)- at Porto Alegre, Brazil. This book will be the #1, as Recommended Bibliography for all Medical students, because it is clear, didactic, and have a lot of good figures. My only dream is to buy it at a better price, exclusive for Third World Nations.

Not One Bit DisappointedThis was my first Smallville book and it was everything I expected. I read it in just four days, and I was not disappointed. The book was well-written and the plot line was creative. I liked how Holding had several character point of views throughout the book and how they all rolled into one towards the end of the book. I took a strong liking to Marica and Rebecca, as well as Chloe. The zombie attack on Marica, and Clark's visit to Haiti to find the soil sample were definantely chilling. I enjoyed the book and I give a thumbs up to Nancy Holding for a job well done.
probaly the best smallville bookwhen a relief worker in hatti across zombies, she immediately begins an investigation. she finds that luthorcorp is at the bottom of it and it almost costs her her life. now on the run she arrives in smallville and confronts lex about it. together they try to figure out who and what is behind it.
meanwhile a new girl and her father arrives in town. but they are not what they seem either. her father is a convicted criminal and they are intent on keeping that secret. but other people in town have other ideals and have revenge in mind.
also a string of robberies have the police just confounded and an innocent young man behind bars who just suffered a tragic lost. overall this book has a good plot and is about the only smallville book that is meant for the adult readers. a++++++ for nancy holder. keep up the good work.

THIS BOOK CAN'T BE THE LAST IN THE SERIES CAN IT?Because I will be very disappointed if it is. The story wasn't finished at the end..It seemed to be left hanging..and the problems between Jer and Holly weren't resolved so it CAN'T be the last.
It's more than just magickThe fourth in the Wicked series, Spellbound finally brings down the dreaded war onto the heads of all of the young people involved. Michael Devereaux has openly attacked the Tricoven, killing several of their numbers even as he takes out hundreds of innocent lives. The Supreme Coven attacks Michael, and even his sons have turned against him. But there is still much dissension between the ranks of the Tricoven, even though they realize failing to work together could destroy the world. Holly is a mess, held captive by Michael and unaware of herself or her surroundings. The Tricoven must keep their remaining numbers alive, attempt to rescue Holly, convince the Mother Coven to help them out, and destroy Michael Devereaux.
This book has even more emotion, turmoil, and magick. Holly's uncle finally puts in a true appearance in this book, and Nicole grows to even more importance. But I'll warn you, it's a cliffhanger; not much is resolved by the end of the book so--we'd better hope there's a fifth!

very good fourth bookall the mystery and drama comes to a head in this book. the tri-coven struggles to move on without holly, who is enthralled to michael. he has devious plans of his own which if he succeeds will put him as the head of the supreme convent and have holly dead(old news there he has been trying to do that since book 1). this book is full of betrayal, love, lust and all the good things that we have come to love from this series. i think legacy was a little better, but i hope nancy holder plans a lot more of these books because they are too good to put down.
