H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E
We've got Valerie who lacks spines and is very uninteresting, drab. Then we've got Gabriel here, king of the snakes and brujo, who is an oversexed macho seducer. Valerie generally seems to look down on all the inhabitants of New Mexico, very WASP. The one exception is Gabriel, whom she lusts for. Not very original. The whole story is a dragged out love affair between them. It tries to have a plot but doesn't. It keeps on going on about the wonderful sex they're having, and how much they lust for each other, but it doesn't contain much else. There's no point in reading this. Plot? None. Characters? Not realistic, nor interesting. If you like books of this ilk, fantasy-romance, I'd advise you to instead go for Laurence Hamilton's Anita Blake series. It's much better than this thinly veiled porno book.

Just another porn book...
"Witchlight" sucks because it really is a porn book but is hidden by the cover and description on the back. I don't find reading about two people making hot sex with snakes all around very enlightning

Good but not their best
I generally liked this book except the father's medical condition was a little uncomfortable for me and ruined the experience. However there are enough flashed of the dynamic duo's sensual magical writing that it is still a good read. 'Making Love' was much more satisfying...this could have been a '5' but the medical stuff was too much for this squeamish reader.

No Substance!
The author(s) of this book are obviously not Pontiac enthusiasts, it would not have taken very much time to have a knowledgable person proof read this short book. Most of the cars are not correct, missing trim, dirty or damaged. The opinions presented are shallow and without merit. There are a few good pictures of royal bobcat decals and a couple of reproduced Pontiac ads making the $12.00 purchase worthwhile to me, but this book is not a source of factual information, in fact I found it very annoying to read.

shallow research
I read this book in 2 hours, from start to finish. I expected the same dense and complete information as was provided by Paul Zazarine's book on the first generation GTO. Unfortunately this book is based on shallow, superficial and therefore insufficient research. It's a descriptive book, a photo album basically. It basically describes the interior, exterior and engine types of the 1964 to 1974 GTOs. Stuff that any reader could figure out if he or she stood next to a car and took a good look at it. There is very little information on the history or background info on the GTO. Where the author doesn't know the facts he'll just say "due to an unknown reason...".

However, the book contains some beautiful and glossy pictures of gtos. Here again, the work is poor. For example, when the book talks about the 1965 gto, there is only one picture of a 65 and the other photos in the 1965 model chapter are all of 1966 cars. Very few pictures of interiors or different options. There also is some repetitive information meaning that facts will be repeated several times on different pages.

Conclusion : a decent book for a first contact with the goat but for real buffs and people wanting to know more about its history, check out Paul Zazarine's work !

A nice collection of pictures with horrid information!
I recieved this book as a gift for my birthday with very high hopes. Sadly it appears the autors knowledge of Chrysler Muscle cars was obtained by driving past a few dealerships during the late 60's and early 70's!

It is possible to find an illustration that is incorrectly identified on at least 50% of the pages: numerous cars are given the wrong names, some that are correct are the right years, chrome parts are said to be painted grey, round emblems are called gas caps and it goes on and on!

The text is horrible also. A few lines seem to have come straight from someone that has never been near the cars: "For example, the Dodge Super Bee and Plymouth Road Runner had identicle bodies. The differences were in the way they were detailed, chromed and advertised." "You can belive that if you placed a 425-HP Hemi in a 1960's Road Runner that originaly came with a 318-cid, the altered car would be worth more-Much, Much more!" These are just 2 ignorant errors within 2 pages of the book!

Overll the book is not anywhere near the standards of Krause Publications books and should be avoided at all costs! Some of the pictures are nice but there are quite a few pictures of fogged lace paint jobs from the mid 70's that will make anyone who loves these cars recoil in disgust.

Don't waste your time
This has to be one of the most laborious books I have ever read. Its akward, purile writing style left me with a brain cramp. The plot (or what there was of it) was unrealistic at best and egregious for the most part. Don't waste your time on this one. I wish I hadn't bothered.
