This is volume 2 of the wonderful book series. excellent, songs, well, written and easy to play - what more can you ask? Includes songs like Mama Kin, Nightrain, November Rain, Patience, Sweet Child of mine and many others, I just got it, and I can't decide what to play first. Excellent book. Doesn't have the songs from: 'The Spaghetti Incident?' though, maybe it's better this way because that album wasn't too good.

Guns n Roses is, in my opinion, the greatest band ever. This book gives loads of interesting info about the band. Any gnr fan would love it!

I wish I saw this novel on more Top 10 lists, but oh well. Nevertheless, I demand that you buy this book right now, and with the hefty discount Amazon is providing, you can't afford to pass this up! With a cover price of 30 beans, I can understand why some would balk initially at purchasing this, but now you have no excuse! Thirty percent off is the deal of the century for this book, and I paid full cover at my local shop! If you are a fan of modern fiction, fine graphical art, or just insane ideas, you owe it to yourself to pick this up at Amazon's great discount.

Set in the near future, the main question in Heavy Liquid is "what is Heavy Liquid?" I'm not going to tell you, but I will tell you that the characters in this story are all affected by this strange substance, part highly addictive drug, part... I don't want to spoil it, but suffice it to say that Pope's concepts are always first rate. As someone else mentioned, fans of PK Dick should take note of this work and read it.

The art is Paul's signature style, completely unmistakably his and no one else's. The lines themselves form beautiful abstract art, in addition to the concrete images they suggest, but his execution is so fluid that nothing is stale or static; these pages rip with dynamics.

All in all, among the very best graphic novels of all time, and considering that it is the work of one man, it qualifies as genius.

Heavy Liquid takes place in a not so distant future, and the plot circles around a man only known as "S".He''s mission is to deliver a pack of the ultimate high: Heavy Liquid to a mysterious collector. Heavy Liquid has everything a good comic should have and some more, read it.

Man, what a cool book. You got the futuristic sci-fi vibe perfectly mixed with this gritty, urban scene harboring an almost retro, beautifully illustrated chase story. Really cool stuff.
If you like old 60's flicks like Velvet Hustler, movies featuring the hip psuedo-anti-hero who's just tryin' to do his thing and not get caught/killed in the process, check this one out.

I'm 15 and all I can say is this book is really, really cool/excellent/awesome etc...from pre-zeppelin days to post zeppelin solo projects and the reunions, it's totally comprehensive, I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewers - it's cool if you have even one Zeppelin Bootleg, and it's also interesting to see what they have to say about the shows the newly released live material was taken from. My dad saw Zeppelin twice so it was cool for him to find his shows.

So if you saw Zeppelin live, have any live recordings whatsoever, or are just curious, I highly recommend this book. It'd be nice if they came out with a new version making note of the material that's come out since it's been released, but even if they don't, I still feel it's a totally complete edition.

For anyone who has a modist size Zeppelin collection of live recordings this book is a must, It has an incredible breakdown of hundreds of shows including track lists and commentary on the play quality as well as remarks on Robert Plants witty comentary between songs. I found myself going back and listening to many of my bootlegs to see how the author's opinion of concerts compared to mine. It was also nice because It helped straighten out some of the songs from the compelation discs I have, correcting the perpatraitors generally incorrect slipsheets and liner notes.

Dave Lewis and Simon Pallett have provided readers with a treasure: a look at every known live performance of the world's greatest rock band, Led Zeppelin. The book is full of reports of what, where, and when the band played, how good the concert was, concert facts, and many samples of the wisdom of Robert Plant. They even recommend the best bootlegs, perfect for us die-hard Zepp fans. The authors also include innumerable concert photos, many of which don't appear in other books. Any Zeppelin collection is incomplete without this book.

Eric C Orleman has produced a superb collection of photos and written a great text to tell the story of the greatest construction equipment manufacter on earth. The only possible hangup is the book is so big, it won't fit on a standard shelf. You'll just have to leave it on the coffee table to torment the misses!

Caterpillar Chronicle is another Eric Orlemann book that has hit the mark with pinpoint precision. Using his usual perfection and attention to small detail, Eric will take from the start with Holt and Best through today. To any person interested in the big iron this book will not disapoint.

The section on the development of the hi-drive D10 is full of information on how it was done and just what a gamble it was for Cat.

Prototypes-What an assortment. It's amazing to see all the different things that go on in product development, from the hi-drive D9G test machine to the mobil-trac batmobiles. Included in this section are numerous pictures of things that Cat tried and scrapped. Some of these contraptions make the hi-drive idea look tame.

Each turn of the page brings a new treat of Cat yellow. Some models you may have seen or even operated, and others you may never see but in pictures. A true pleasure.

If heavy equipment is your hobby, and Eric's name is on the cover, BUY THE BOOK!

Once again, Eric Orlemann has come up with the goods. "Caterpillar Chronicle" is a superbly illustrated volume full of wonderful photographs of all kinds of Caterpillar Machinery. A fan of Caterpillar for years, I found it a joy to turn each page in anticipation, to be rewarded with another stunning photograph.

From the "Best Steamer" to the massive Caterpillar 797 dump truck, "Caterpillar Chronicle" contains something for everyone who ever loved Caterpillar machinery. I found the photographs of the prototypes and pre-production machines especially interesting. To trace the history of the famous Cat D10 tractor through its development is one of the highlights of the book. I am sure that one could write a whole book devoted to the prototypes, one offs and the concepts that never made it to production.

The text is well written and tells the story of the history of these machines well, with lots of detail. The large format of the book is great, as well as its quality. Well bound and protected by its hard cover, it will be the centre of my collection for many years, and last as long as these wonderful machines.

Once again, Troy Stetina has written an awsome guitar book. Metal Lead Guitar skips the small stuff that most guitarists already know and goes straight to the techniques you need! And, this is the first book that I have seen with a section for learning to use the wammy bar! This book is slightly challenging, so I do not reccommend this if you are new to guitar, but if you have the basics down and hopefully a little more, BUY THIS BOOK! You will fall in love with it!

Don't let the title of this book mislead you. This is more than just Metal guitar...a lot more! It's Metal plus any style of rock lead guitar from the late sixties to the present. Basically, if you have an electric guitar, an amp, some form of overdive/distortion and you want to play rock lead, then you need this book.

Troy's method is unique in that he has developed a notation system that combines guitar TAB with rhythm notation, which makes it very easy to learn what is being shown. All of the material is presented in bite sized pieces along with some pretty cool licks to practice it with. Everything that is in the book is demonstrated on the CD. Each chapter concludes with a complete original song with full band backing. It's played on the CD first with the lead part and then without, so that you can hear how it should sound and then jam along with the band. So at the end of the first chapter you're already playing lead guitar! However, I would not recommend this book to someone who is just starting to learn how to play. If you're a newbie I'd recommend Troy's "Metal Lead Guitar Primer" to learn all of the basics first (written in the same format with licks and songs).

Troy also mixes in a little bit of music theory, speed exercises and improvisational technique, thus helping you to develop your own sound and style.

It's very simple: IF YOU WANT TO LEARN TO PLAY ROCK LEAD GUITAR BUY THIS BOOK!

Although there may be a few minor details subject to scrutiny, this work meets an important need. Replete with color and B/W photos, the authors point out the differences between the various Ford N-models, and attempt to illustrate the important details to be considered when restoring these tractors. Paint details, variations in models and years, options, and anomalies are described in detail. As with many Motorbooks International publications, there is a tendancy to use oft-published photos, but this is not a major concern. A section on the popular Sherman auxiliary transmissions includes a table of various gear ratios and speed ranges. Original and aftermarket reproduction aprts are compared and the appendix includes a pretty thorough list of suppliers. While this book is not the final authority on the subject, it is by far the best thing yet to come out on this topic. Highly recommended.

I previously stated that the pictures used in this edition were previously published. This statement is in error. The confusion arose because many tractors included have been seen in other works. The author assures me that these pictures are all new issues.

this was a great buy. it has great info about the models, specs, restoation, and even funk and sherman stuff.

Great book! Does s good job of covering all the different types of mammoth earth-moving equipment. The best book of it's kind so far. The only thing I felt was maybe missing is where the mines where some of them are/were working are located, but perhaps that was left out for a reason.

As a operator on one of the machines featured in the book I really enjoyed the book and the development and history of the machines in the book Some of the machines in the book are no longer in use so it is nice to be able to see pictures of them..

A very good history of the development of the large excavators used in the mining industry. Excellent photos and good background data for each of these historic machines. A must reference for anyone interested in large equipment or mining.

the tabs are all right there is no mistake they sound exactly as they should sound .Perfect.no words are necessary just get it

This album kicks major( ) ! It starts out as a looped sample on the first track. Then it jams right into the second song "(sic). On one of my favorite tracks"Eyeless" the chorus goes "you can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes" which fades into the album's biggest and another great one "Wait an Bleed". Throghout the whole album singer #8(or Corey Taylor) lyrically is great. With the guitar riffing, the drums ponding, the dj scrathing and samples galore; the music always is pounding with the screaming vocals, making the whole album exiting and each song is different in it's own way. No soft songs! This cd is the best cd from the first to the last!

I've played guitar my whole life and I just got into AC/DC, most of their songs are just chords, making it simple for beginners to play awesome songs like TNT, Back In Black, and You Shook Me... The only thing I have a problem with this book is that they're missing a great one like Dirty Deeds... which dissapointed me a bit but the book kicks anyway.

Terrific Book by ac/dc. I own a guitar and every song in this book sounds perfect, just like the song! It even has tabs and which count to play each note on, the tempo and the standard notation (sheet music). Great book. In case you don't know, the title BONfire comes from the singer BON Scott. These are all the songs that he performed before his tragic death (choking on own vomit). All of their best songs were performed by him and are in this book. The format is very simple, it gives you the main riffs and labels them such as "Rythm figure 1". Then, when you need to play rythm figure 1 along with the lyrics, it says "with rythm figure 1". It even has the solos!!!!! GREAT BUY. EVERY AC/DC FAN NEEDS IT!!!!

Everything you need for AC/DC from 1975-1980, including never before heard tracks! Easy to use and play. If you want to play the classic thunder chords of AC/DC, this will be a great book for you.

This book is a compilation of sexually-explicit paintings, drawings, and sketches by Italian artist, Paolo Serpieri.

While the content is definitely not for everyone, Serpieri's mastery of the human figure, and highly detailed style make for an amazing collection of erotic art.

Like other Serpieri books published by Heavy Metal, this title is a little pricey considering the number of pages. Still, fans of Serpieri and this genre will not want to miss this book.

Recommended.

If you are a fan of Paolo Serpieri's works or just a fan of erotic art, you owe it to yourself to pick this one up. Serpieri's mastery and love of the female form is evident in the detailed sketches contained in this volume. Druuna is one of fantasy's most beautiful women and the art world owes Serpieri a debt for such a wonderful gift. The material may not be for everyone, but it is at least worth a look. Thumbs up all the way.

It's refreshing to be exposed to erotic material that is incredibly sensual yet somewhat innocent. If you really want to smolder at the sight of the perfect female body, then BUY this book!
