Guarantee

Our small Bible study and discussion group in Las Vegas, Nevada, finished the book "A Promise to America: God's Guarantee" and had our last discussion recently. Actually, it probably wasn't our "last" discussion, as we all felt compelled to take some sort of action. We will be each other's accountability group now.

Following are some of the comments from our group:

"I had never really considered the present happenings in the world as something I could be involved in or have an effect on. After reading the book, I find that God is speaking to all Christians to follow His steps and help bring about His promise to heal our land. I want to see the America Carolyn describes at the end of the book become a reality. I am going to post that description as my prompting to pray. Our church is about to begin '40 Days of Purpose' and certainly our group has had our hearts and minds prepared for this churchwide study by "A Promise to America: God's Guarantee." --Carol Wayne.

Carolyn Corbin, in A Promise to America: God's Guarantee, has reached into the depth of an Old Testament teaching to bring truths into today that should be more prevalent in our society. Carolyn's futuristic eye is able to see ahead and bring others to the awareness of God's promises, not only on a personal level, but also on a national level as well.

I have passed this book to several other people to read. I have also read it to a friend who is a resident of a local nursing home.

It appears to me that the words of wisdom Carolyn shares in this book as an action call to Americans, is also and maybe even more importantly a reminder and demand to each individual to heal his/her own private world, and that one by one we can, with God's help and guarantee, heal our neighborhood, town, city, state, country and world. Thought-provoking, and written with the obvious passion of her faith journey.

if you're interested in nutrition and how to get and stay healthy this book gives you more information than any other i've seen. it helps you to select those supplements you specifically need, which is not easy in a vitamine shop these days!

If you are confused about all the vitamin choices, then look no further. This book will help you understand how and why vitamins are helpful and which ones are important for which ailments. Excellent book.

This book debunks the world of "snake oil" vendors promising miracle cures. It gives good down to earth practical information on a variety of ailments which can be successfully treated using the bodys natural healing processes - fueled with proper nutrition. It particularly addresses the need for QUALITY suppliments.

This was a great read. Very cool. Courtney ends up learning life isn't about money or things, but about family and friends, she helps support the family, makes new friends, and gets the cute guy in the end.(that part you gotta' love!) And learns a better and happier way of living, and the family is comfortable in their new situation. It gives you an upbeat look on some of the hardships of life, when the family has to come closer together, and finds their pace in life.

OK, I'm not all that great at explaining books..or anything really, for that matter but I just want to say that this book had a great plot and storyline.. and somewhere in there (i kno most teens- if ur like me hate the word i'm bout to use or maybe rather the phrase--) the moral or lesson was really good too..I don't want to say too much cuz i might give the whole thing away, but it basicly just showed me how u have to take things in life as they come.."When life sends you a lemon, make lemonade" I kno that is prolly one of the more stupid sayings out there but its really true and this book is definately one u should read!

This book was really good its about this girl named Christina whos dad loses his job and so everyone in the family has to get a job to support the family. Christina takes a job at the Victoria Cafe and being poor changes her life for good. This book made me really appreciate everything I have and to not take things I get for granted.

This book leaves you feeling full of a renewed hope. All I have been able to find up until I ran into this book is New-Age books full of positive affirmations, which where good but left you feeling empty. This book will help fill your cup until it runneth over.

This book is written as if Jesus is talking right to you at this very moment. It is awesome! Nice little gift for all occasions. There is also another book like this for 'moms'. I am extremely pleased with this book.

Shelley Harwayne has given all of us an opportunity to spend a little time in the wonderful school environment she and her staff members have created at The Manhattan New School. A perfect companion to Shelley Harwayne's 'going public' book. I enjoyed this one even more because Ms. Harwayne really delves into how to create a literacy environment suited to each child and her/his needs. I would hearily recommend this book to all educators looking to enhance their classrooms--not only the environment but their classroom practices as well. Congratulations on a fabulous resource!

I enjoyed reading Dr. Gravely's book and believe that while Black America is in the midst of a wave of entrepreneurship that is focused on building wealth, leaving a legacy, providing job opportunities, and rebuilding this nations forgotten urban core, this book is a must read for anyone embarking on the path of entreprenuership. We all know that in accepting the inherent risk associated with entreprenuership, there are many obstacles along this path that often de-rails the would be entreprenuer. Dr. Gravely's book provides a keen perspective on the proper entreprenuerial mindset necessary to deal with these obstacles regardless of what they are. For entrepreneurs and prospective entreprenuers, the story encompassed in the book will provide you with a focus on how to effectively deal with the obstacles that you will undoubtedly encounter. I also recommend this book to all college students engaged in a business curriculum and those who have any entreprenuerial aspirations.

I have been giving a lot of thought to starting my own business, but the focus was always on, "How much money will it make?" Gravely gave me the right focus and the right attitude.

An excellent guide for survivors in navigating the "...practical tasks of a death." It is a great tool to becoming prepared for the realities one faces at a terribly vulnerable time in one's life.

I love all of Barbara Sher's books. This book is unknown, but worth reading if you like her other books.
