These recordings of the Pooh stories are the BEST rendition I have ever heard. Peter Dennis' characterization of each character is perfect. The read-a-longs are great for the kids. I am a 50 year old "Classic" Pooh fan. I recommend these to everyone, whatever your age. They are pure joy .

A precious and practical little book that very clearly and accurately explains what and why we repeat the destructive patterns - patterns I've done all my life. Even after 3 years in recovery, I found myself in a hopeless (I thought) situation trying to find the "BIG LOVE" that would save me. It inspired me enough to find help in other programs that deal more with feelings rather than not taking that first drink.

A MUST READ FOR ANYONE IN RECOVERY. This book may save your life along with your sobriety. Anything by Gorski is good, but since we have short attention spans, this one is short enough (about 24 pages)that you may be able to finish it. Read it before it's too late. I didn't, and I will (seriously) die because I didn't. You are not special and unique. You can make a list of your addictions in order of importance, and you'll go to the next one when you stop what you're doing now. Food and Love are second on a lot of lists, and you are getting your emotions back. You'll find that out once you read this. Test Step 3 once love hits. Even the First Step. They become your drug of choice (1), and you cannot control anyone (3), especially another addict. Imagine someone else trying to control you. But you can't stay away, you're addicted to them.

As a dog lover, you can't help but smile as you read this book. It is fresh and told through the eyes of a child. I loved it and I have recommended it to all my friends!

If you are a Pug owner, this book is enlightening and great fun. This potrays the adventures of a little pug named Lexi who travels to Paris and finds the true meaning of the french pug lifestyle. Great for children of all ages.

I think this book is great. It illustates pioneering in a unique way. History buffs of all ages will enjoy it.

All three of these paper doll books are wonderful, they combine history and art to create an interactive experience for the child to treasure always. I highly suggest getting two copies, one to cut out and one to treasure forever :)

Tim Lebbon brings a refreshing new dimension to the horror short story genre. Having read over 700 horror tomes I'm very hard to impress but I was bowled over by this collection. Each story will pluck a string in your heart and mind and start a vibration that will either chill, amaze or simply give you cause to wonder. Tim's writing style can't be compared to other horror authors due to the uniqueness of his phrasing, subject matter and superb characterizations. I'm truly immersed in reading while absorbing the terrible wonderfulness of this treasure trove of tales. If you're a true fan of the horoor genre don't cheat yourself out of reading an author who was born to write horror. I've LOVED all his books.

Having read most of Tim Lebbon's work to date, I have had the pleasure of witnessing his writing develop both in confidence and maturity. With this collection Lebbon clearly demonstrates how he has completely conquered the short story as a medium.

As The Sun Goes Down presents a tableau of stories each very distinct in content and form, yet inextricably linked in disturbing the reader and challenging their accepted values. Not one tale is wasted in Lebbon's determination to subvert our perceptions of love, life, nature, beauty and the innocence of childhood. His use of language and narrative form is unrelenting, each vying to create images from words that incessantly chip away at our confidence in the so-called 'truths' of existence.

Lebbon is a horror writer we are told, but to consider the genre before the work would be to deny that which is most effective in these tales. The genre is used to explore wholly universal themes, a methodology that makes his stories impossible to pigeon-hole and an important reading experience for a much wider audience.

You will miss out if you think this collection is only for the horror reader. If you want to understand the narrative strength of the short story whatever its content, it is clearly exhibited here. Trust me, I rarely read horror myself.

You need this book for your coffee table: if you're a conservative, to stimulate your liberal friends and spread the word, and if you're a liberal, to irritate your liberal friends and let them worry what word you're trying to spread. Face it, there aren't many conservative toon makers. Asay has to be the best. This little book has his toons grouped under 13 topic headings: Big Government, The Justice Department, The Presidency ... on down to World. Since it's 5 years old, it's dated, but then again, not out-dated.

Asay Doodles is possibly the best collection of editorial cartoons from a conservative point of view available today. The artwork is wonderful and the jokes are fresh and funny but the ideas really grab you. Very often I got a new insight on an issue I thought I knew very well. Whatever your political perspective I think you will both enjoy this book and find your thinking on our issues and culture challenged by it. Hey Chuck, isn't it about time for another book?

Bailey's older siblings are off on a camping trip, but Bailey's too young to go. What to do? Why, have an indoor camping adventure, of course.

This simple, sweet, warm, loving story will really appeal to younger children. The illustrations are wonderful, the text is straightforward and the situations ring genuinely true. This is the sort of tale that leaves a fond smile on everyone's face. Be advised, however, after reading it you'll likely be looking for an old blanket to thrust into tent duty fot the afternoon!

Do your whole family a favor and go camping with Bailey!

The story of a little brother who is too young to do all the fun things his older brother and sister get to do, so his parents create a special day just for him. The wonderful illustrations and simple story are enough to make any little child love this book. Camping indoors is fun for any age, but especially for a little boy bunny who gets to do all the things his older siblings get to do. Beware! You may have to recreate the fun of camping indoors for any toddler who has this book read to them. Oh well, there are worse things! Great book!

THIS BOOK IS AN EXCELLENT LOOK AT THE WWII ERA. ALOT OF GREAT INTERVIEWS AND STORY TELLING DESCRIBE THIS HISTORIC ERA IN GREAT DETAIL. IT LIKE BEING THERE. MR. MEAD DOES A FINE JOB AND THIS IS TRULY AN EXCELLENT BOOK FOR HISTORIANS AND FANS OF THE GREAT AMERICAN SPORT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

William Mead's wonderful book about a baseball in the 1940's has appeared under several titles (EVEN THE BROWNS, BASEBALL'S WORST DECADE). In each guise it is a sprightly written and judicious account of the personalities (Judge Landis, Pete Gray) and events of baseball in a time of national crisis.

Precious storybook, with wonderful easy to carry handle for those little hands! This story also includes such worthwhile comments like "buckle up" while Basil is in the car... a comment that bears repeating as much as possible for child's safety!

The book discusses all types of modes of transportation (bus, boat, bike, helicopter, car, train, airplane, and even space travel). Each page stimulated additional conversation from my two daughters, which made it even more valuable to our family's reading list!

This book is delightful, full of beautiful pictures with a touching story line.

I've been looking for this book as my daughter wants to get it for several gifts. I'll pass on to her that I found it. I have read it and seen the reaction of children to this book. It's absolutely delightful. What a shame that the above review from the School Library Journal is so unfavorable...
Get this book for your child or grandchild and it will become as traditional at Christmas Time as reading "Rudolph" or "The Snowman" is...... You'll enjoy it too!
