In the second book in the Dr. Nightingale series, Dr. Didi finds herself investigating another murder. This time, the murder is a neighbor that owned a beautiful German Shepherd, trained by monks at a monastery. The search for the killer takes Didi to live with the monks and their perfectly trained Shepherds, leading her to a killer she would never expect!

I enjoyed this book much more than I had enjoyed the first book in the series as Dr. Didi was portrayed as much more sympathetic and kind in this book. I also enjoyed reading about the dogs being trained by the monks, and found this training method fascinating. Overall, this book was a quick and nice read.

The first book in the series is "Dr. Nightingale Comes Home". Enjoy!

Elvis is a very proud rooster. He thinks that when he sees the light of day he must crow so that he the sun will come up. One day as dawn aproachs he tries to crow and a bug flies into his mouth. He can't crow but the sun comes up any way. Elvis is so shocked he faits. His friends set up a trick in the barnyard to prove to him he is still needed.

I liked the way that Elvis's friends made him feel special again. That's what frinds are for. I also liked the illustrations.

I would recommed this book to others. If you like the Minnie and Moo series you will enjoy these books by the same author.

This book is great for letting toddlers know what it is like to fly on an airplane, whether it is in preparation for their first flight, reminiscence of previous flights, or just for their imagination.

The illustrations are clear and the story is simple. The text is presented in a very clear and large typeface that beginning readers should find quite easy to sound through. The things that are important to a young child are emphasized, such as finding a seat and getting a meal--and the teddy bear is a prominant character that my son really seems to like.

It may not be a great piece of literature, but it is a very enjoyable little book!

This book is written for both children and adults. In a humorous and touching way, this book helps us to understand that we sometimes get stuck in our own faith traditions rather than practicing the presence of God--where ever that may be..Illustrated well and can be used in small groups. Expect laughter..and smiles.

I reccomend Dan Elliot's children's book, Grover Goes to School, to kids as well as adults who enjoy a light-hearted story with an Aseop's Fables type of moral interwoven into the plot. This story teaches children the valuable lesson of knowing the fine line between kindess and being taken advantage of. Comical, yet serious, it's an overall excellent book!

the essays contained within Finkelman's books are well written and well argued, just watch out because they contain an anti-Brown slant. These works are far from impartial and for a history text, some of them don't follow the traditional road to research of primary source, secondary, and so and so forth. The text is excellent if are looking to read good essays, but they are not impartial.

My Grandkids love it and I'll bet yours will too. It's so clever they won't have any trouble getting their parents to read it to them...the whole family seems to enjoy it.

I. Q. is the pet rat of Mrs. Furber's class. The class is having library week. Each day they visit the school library and learn something new about it. On Monday the class hears a funny story read aloud by the librarian. I.Q. wants to get his own library card so he can check the book out and read it again. Join him on his quest through the library to locate the book. This book is great to read aloud to young children who are learning about the library.

Nice movie. This book has the script (118 pages), a few pages of black and white stills, and the production notes. There's also a two page intro by the film's writer/director, to tell you what it's about, in case you don't get it.
