If you've been through art school, espescially in New York, you should read this. Strangely; honest, profound, hilarious. Certainly not for everybody, though.

JOHN AFRICAIN GOES WEST
I rate this book 5 stars because of the excellent feedback I have had from tens of readers who say that they have been blessed by reading it. It is a true story of a man who is still alive and has faith in God. Every event there was a true happening. The events there do not only depict real life situations that John went through, it showed how God came consistently through to help him in answer to prayer. He did not sugar-coat his situations, especially those in which he experienced real suffering but told it like it is. The result is an interesting story with a lot of background stuff based on John's culture in West Africa. Reading through the book, you cannot help, but accept that faith in God really works. You will suddenly be struck with the realization that miracles really do happen today. In fact the miracles experienced by John were of Biblical proportions. Read it yourself, and you'd agree with me.

The book charts John's life from birth, through elementary and high School, to University degree and postgraduate life. It tells his story at work. It charts his life from a rural West African setting through the urban conorbations of his country, to cities in Europe. Charting his life alone provides an interesting story, but following the breath-taking miracles he had, is even more interesting.

Read it. You'll find your self zealously recommending it to your friend. You will agree with me that it is a 5 star book. It is an extra-ordinary type of biography! The style is easy for any reader.

Great preparation for reluctant Doctor goers!
My 2 year old daughter did not enjoy her trips to the doctor one bit. She was fascinated by Jonathan's visit to the doctor in this book. She wanted it read and re-read for more than a week. I think seeing another baby go through a doctor's visit in a positive way helped her understand and cope with the experience. On her next visit to the doctor we both made reference to the book as the doctor checked her ears, listened to her heart and chest, etc. - all things Jonathan does in the book. It was a much more pleasant experience for both of us. I would say this book was, for us, an unqualified success.

Exceptionally Written Title for Tots!
Thank you for writing on the subject of disability! Our children should be made aware of disability and disabled loved ones. They should not be sheltered; this is in fact reality and a major part of our lives personally. One of your other titles, "Papa and Me" is excellent and appropriate for this very subject. Thank you for exposing these issues and helping to inform other children about disability. It should not be hidden but exposed!

This book along with the other titles under "The Jonathan Adventures," is a wonderful asset to our children's library. Our children have received tremendous enjoyment as have our guests, friends and family! It's the first set of books we pull out when there are toddlers/preschoolers here visiting.

The photographs are incredible. The photographs make the book "real" for children. Children have no problem relating to a word or subject when there is a crystal-clear example staring them in the face! I have received numerous comments from guests on "The Jonathan Adventures". My children have learned manners and the "proper" way of handling multiple situations.

This book will certainly remain in my household for many years to come and hopefully for our future grandchildren!

Baby Jonathan visits the library with Papa and Grandma.
This 6"x6" board book is a good toddler introduction to books and libraries. Jonathan visits the library storytime. He hears a story and a funny song. He claps hands and sings. Papa helps baby Jonathan find books. They check out three books to take home. "Goodbye library. See you next week!"

A different story every time - easy to read over and over ..
Poor Junior ... this is the third Junior/Spinwheels book that we have and Junior always seems to be having a rough day. My 2 year old and I love flipping through the pages, reading and changing the story all the time. She thinks it's funny when we can spin the wheel and change the page over and over. She's thinks it's funny to see objects she knows in unexpected places. The illustrations are simply brilliant -- detailed, sharp, and colorful. Hundreds of combinations make this book easy to read over and over and over and over ...
