Thoroughly enjoyable story!!

A thorough and insightful resourceNote however that, in addition to advising readers how to use the Internet to find a job in Japan, the author also relies on the Internet to supplement the text. So be prepared to have your browser open while reading "Ganbatte Means Go For It," and be sure to visit all the suggested links to get the most out of your reading and research.
One feature I found especially helpful was the questionnaire in Chapter 2, "Do You Have What It Takes?" This section is designed to help readers take a thorough personal inventory and assess their skills, assets and personal characteristics to determine whether they're made of the 'right stuff' to embark on an adventure in Japan.
And for a personal touch at the end, author Celeste Heiter recounts several of her favorite experiences in an epilogue called "Vignettes of Japan." Not only are her ten essays entertaining, they offer an enticing glimpse into the rich cultural experience that awaits adventurous English teachers in Japan.
Although it is written in an easy-going, conversational style, every page of "Ganbatte Means Go For It" is packed with useful, first-hand information. One thing I found lacking however, is that although the content is well organized, specific topics within the text can be difficult to locate. This book would have benefitted greatly from an alphabetical index.
"Ganbatte Means Go For It" is a 'must have' for anyone who is serious about seeking employment as an English teacher in Japan. Don't leave home without it!

A must for anyone in the business of fat loss ...

Lake Renegade ExplainedSteve Reep is a pilot and flight instructor, not a writer. Yet he has managed to produce a masterpiece of knowledge and experience that many 'professional writers' aspire to. What Steve Reep lacks in literary whit, he fully makes up for in plain understandable language, anecdotes and lessons learned the hard way.
Go To Hull is a culmination of over fifty years of experience in flying and teaching others to fly seaplanes, or more precisely, 'Flying Boats'. The book is geared towards the excellent, although somewhat eccentric Lake Aircraft four and six seat flying boats, but the techniques that Steve describes just as much apply to smaller and larger boat hulled flying machines.
First published in 1996 by Eastern Dakota Publishing, Go to Hull has already established it's self as mandatory reading for everyone that currently flies a flying boat or aspires to do so in the future.
The aviation community at large has long underrated the Lake Aircraft amphibians. This is still somewhat reflected by the current marketplace. At the same time they fill a unique niche that no other aircraft has been able to fill so effectively. Discarded by many pilots as funny looking marginal flying machines they are held in high regards by those who actually fly and own them. Part of the image crisis surrounding the lakes has been that relatively little was known and published on them. Steve Reep has respectfully changed all that and produced a reference that has been fully endorsed by the owners of Lake Aircraft. If the saying: Unknown makes Unloved applies to aircraft, Steve has made a giant leap forward in the rediscovery of these fine flying (and boating, fishing, hunting, camping, search and rescue, law enforcement and general FUN) machines.

Dopelganger Alert!Within each picture there is an incarcerated cast to be located. Every prison will have it's kind jailer, the cruel jailer, the Governor (or head jailer), the prisoner that has adapted and made himself comfortable, and the one that's trying to get away. One will also find a prisoner's pet in each lock-up, as well.
I must admit, though, that my favorite part of the book is in locating the famous prisoner in each scene. Within the front and back covers is the Rogues' Gallery where you will find a listing of Who's Who among the illustrated fortresses for you to locate. Al Capone, Josef Stalin, and Sir Thomas More, just to name a few.
All in all, this is a very unique and surprisingly fun (for it's topic) book. It may be a little morbid for the very young, but I definitely recommend it as a child will actually learn something historic while enjoying its game-like structure at the same time.
However, I am forced to rate this "version" of Kent's book a mere four stars as compared to the "original" which I gave five to. The sole reason for a lesser recommendation lies entirely in the title. "Go To Jail" is just too Monopoly-esque for me. Instead, I prefer "Behind Bars" that was published a year prior in the UK by McDonald Young Books. Other than differing titles, they are one and the same. So take your pick. Either one will make a wonderful edition to a child's library... or an adult's!
