On my feet again!
This book was simply wonderful! A humbling experience but once faced with the dillema I decided to take action. Thank goodness for this book. I began thinking clearly and evaluated my options. Mr. Tatro pointed out options I had never thought of. I am now back on my feet and a marketable prospect.
Thank you again!

Then he meets Lana Olivia Turner, an eccentric redhead with a habit of butting into other people's lives. The result is an explosive confrontation between father and son.

Just like home
Great book of advice whether away from home or close. So many things I remember my Mom saying to us. This book is great to read as a pick me anytime up or when you're missing that "sisterly advice". Well written with bits of whimsy and some serious. And what a great gift. I picked up one for my sister and close family, they loved it.

Give up the good to GO for the GREAT.
This is a fine book of inspirational quotations. It is a small square hardcover book, with a top notch layout and construction, and dust jacket. There are 1 to 3 quotations on a page (mostly 3), and there are approximately 126 pages.

"How exciting are your dreams? Most people don't aim too high and miss-they aim too low and hit!" (back cover)-Bob Moawad

The collection is well chosen, and focused entirely on GOING FOR IT. Thus there won't be some sections you will like, and some you won't. It is all one section, one theme.

"If your dream is big enough, the facts don't count."-Don Ward

"Forsake all inhibitions. Pursue thy dreams!"-Walt Whitman

This book is excellent as a gift book, as well as for your own life.

Fantastic Guide
A wonderful extension for a wonderful book. This book meets all the present-day standards for education and is cross-curricular in nature. This is not the typical "book report" format found in so many other companion workbooks. Activities range from paper-pencil, to roleplaying, to technology, to current and past newspaper events and on and on. I've examined many such workbooks and this is one of the best I've ever seen. Amy Griffin has done a thorough job here.

An excellent resource for the Statistically Challenged
I was completing my dissertation in Clinical Psychology when I hit the wall. I am not fluent in the language of statistics and SPSS was much too complicated for me to understand immediately. I acquired this book from a friend and I can't tell you how much this book saved my life! It explained not only how to use the program in very easy steps, it explained WHY and HOW to pick your statistical procedures in language that was simple. Reading through the book and looking at the examples helped me understand how to pick the appropriate statistical procedures (and why), how to enter the data, how to pull down the appropriate tests, and how to look at the data calculations and make conclusions. THere are no wasted pages in this book (88 pages) and I swear it helped me get through my dissertation on my own (which I passed!). Don't hesitate to buy this book if you are working on your psychology or social science thesis or dissertation. It's a fantastic resource!

Jerusalem Post Review
Reviewed by the Jerusalem Post - Helen Kaye (Friday Books) 14 May 1999.

A fascinating, lucid and uncluttered explanation of charity from every possible angle.
Why give? What to give? How to give? How much to give? The motivation for giving. The givers. The scope of giving. Is Jewish tzedaka worth more than that of non-jews? Should the rich give more? And is their donation "better"? Each of the book's chapters discusses the various aspects of charity and illustrates each of the points with stories, references to the various sources and even jokes.

This is a book for the layman, not the scholar, although the material appears to have been meticulously researched. The language is direct and accessible. The analogies are clear...

An awareness of the holy shines through this book. Even if the reality falls short of the ideal, The Rich go to Heaven can nudge us in the right direction.
