What was then is now still true.
Every once in a while one of us is called to do something for others that at first only seems to be a short, personal sacrifice.

Two priests, seeing the need in the eyes of others overcame the barriers of money, boats, and party politics to travel to an island that for 20 years sat so close to freedom, yet so far away from the life they knew.

Their time in Cuba exposed them to a bureaucracy layered in both power and ineptness that they also overcame by their spiritial strengh. Upon returning their spiritial strengh was once again tested by our own goverment- a bureaucracy that in so many ways paralleled what they had left behind in Havana.

In these times of turmoil over US politics and the aging Fidel, this book will help you to understand so much from those who gave of themselves first.

For the budget traveller, this book is as good as it gets.
This is the most accurate travel book that I've ever used. The prices for lodging and meals were correct (a rarity in travel books!) and directions were clear and accurate. Having used both Frommers and Lonely Planet, I still feel that this series, and particularly this Spain and Portugal guide, is the best bet. Although Fodor's contains more history and other books provide more maps, this Let's Go guide is really all you need. Local tourist offices easily provide the rest. This series is particularly suited to the traveller who hopes to spend between US $35-$60 per day. However, there are many options for cheaper or more expensive plans.

A great tool for young children at Mass
A fun and reusable color and wipe off book which will help even very young children enjoy and follow along with the parts of the Mass. your child will enjoy it week after week while learning Mass prayers and responses. I would highly recommend this for even very young children, as the coated pages are practically indestructible and will last for years. My own eight year uses the book every week.

Perfect guide for Students!
This guide helped allowed my friends and I to find the best deals on youth hostels and pensions in every city we went to during our three weeks in Germany. The descriptions of the city's museums, restaurants, bars, and clubs kept us well-entertained, and the easy-to-read maps kept us walking in the right direction. This book is a must for all budget travelers!

Montezuma Rides Again or Who Was that Masked Man?
This is a gem of a book. I must admit it's my first travel book I've ever bought. Normaly on my travels along with my duffel bag I only bring a map. I can't say how much invaluable info is crammed into this book. The authors give every kind of advise that a traveller should know. Like on a bus trip one should take a bottle of water & a roll of toilet paper. I bring a 6 pack and a pint instead. And when the need comes I just roll down the window & let it out. Regarding cheap housing I disagree with the authors. The best & cheapest rooms are those in the red light zone. This book gives a good flavor of Mexico. It lets the reader be a real mucho maucho Mexicano before ever stepping across the border. As for the best spot to head for again I must disagree with the authors. Skip Mexico City and head straight for Tampico. This town has everything: good food, cheap rooms, fast women and lots and lots of bars. Mention my name at the Culo Cantina & they'll fix you right.

Little Brown Bear
This book was a favorite of mine when I was growing up in the early 60's. Little Brown Bear learns lots of valuable lessons that children enjoy. He is a character that they can relate to and share his adventures. Afraid of the dark is a wonderful bedtime story.Children will enjoy this as much now as they did 40 years ago!

The Littles Go To School
Hi, my name is Nancy. I just finished a book called The Littles Go To School. It's by John Peterson. The book was about a little family in Mr. Bigg's house. Tom had to do a book report, but Tom hated book reports. So Tom asked Lucy to do the book report. Lucy asked, "Why won't you do the report?" Tom finally wanted to do the book report. I gave this book 5 stars because it is about book reports.
