Easy to read and follow, kids will love it.I really like the way the author compares school days for children to school days for clouds. The illustrations jump off the page. The songs, poems, and crafts also add a great deal, making it much more than a story book. Excellent. My daughter loves it. She was 2 1/2 when I got it. Now I will begin reading it to my eight month old, as he listens when I read to big sister(she is 4 1/2 now). I got the book at a class for Childcare workers, but I would recommend it to anyone with children.

Astrid Lindgren is a living legendDo not read this book for your children at night! They will go to bed, but they will not fall asleep as long as you are reading. They want you to read more and more and more... The book is thrilling and written in an intelligent and caring way. Astrid Lindgren, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday, will never get the Nobel prize in litterature. Unfortunately. But she won our hearts.

Introduction to PreschoolThis is an outstanding book for introducing a child to preschool. In my classroom the children chose this as the all time favorite. It has a sturdy hands-on bear that can be moved and placed on each page of the book. My copy lasted for several years in a three and four year old classroom. I desperately want another copy!

My preschooler loves it, 'nuff saidWish I'd bought it BEFORE he started preschool, but anyway, he LOVES it. Very nice book that very accurately portrays a day in a Jewish preschool. (Except for the school bus....)

Great book for children entering school for the first time!Aaaaah....this book brings me back 27 years! Things sure have changed since then, but the first year of school for a child is always the same! Step back into my past life and see how a young boy at age 6 views the first grade of school. Follow me on a journey through the first disiplinary action for popping a bag in the cafeteria (by the way...the book is really non-fiction except for what REALLY happened after I did that!), through me reading my first book, and completing my first full year of education! A great book for any child with fears of going to school!

I Just Wanted To Go FishingI liked the book because although it was about a serious subject, it was extremely funny! The author made some valid points about the police not having enough authority and she also made me think about what society's obligations are.

One of the funniest books that i've ever readthis book is a boy called rudy, who is shipped off to camp, by his ununderstanding mother and father. he is not an outdoors lover, and he is miserable. he makes with another boy, who is called mike. rudy is fantastic in everything he does, but he just doesn't want to help his cabin, and his loudmouthed counsler Chip Booth. He made so many attempts to escape, people have to go to extra lenghts to insure that he stays at camp. He and his new friend Mike, try to bulid a dam, so that if by chance it ever rained, the camp would flood and they could go home. Even if you usually don't like stories about the outdoors, i think that you should read this book, because it is hilarious.

I LOVE this book - and I'm 46!I found this marvelous book when my oldest daughter was about 2 years old! I should have bought it then! The story of Fenimore B. Buttercrunch and his efforts to go to market are so funny, it is worth the search that Amazon made to get this wonderful out-of -print book! My daughter has a daughter of her own now and I can hardly wait to read "I Will Not Go To Market Today" to her! It is positively hysterical and I hope someone can get it back into print!
