classical and thorough
This text was the first book on order statistics when it came out in 1970. Now in its second edition it has been praised for its thorough coverage, rigor and clarity. It is still one of the best reference books for this topic.

Great Book
This book is a must for anyone who is interested in knowing about orders of knighthood and the relationship which the Holy See has on all orders. The book covers Papal Orders of Knighthood, Dynastic Orders like THE SACRED & MILITARY CONSTANTINIAN ORDER OF St. GEORGE, Extinct Catholic Orders, and many more. Also of interest is a section that includes The Procedure for Admission to the Orders of Knighthood. The color plates of the different decorations are beautiful. The author does a great job in giving the reader a history on the different orders. Note: this book also has a supplement "The Cross On The Sword", if you can find it you need to buy. It covers uniforms, investitures, precedent and much more.

Best I.D. book on medals from the Vietnamese communist side
This book renders all other works on the subject obsolete. Big full color photos make proper identification of medals and ribbons simple. I believe any serious collector of Vietnam war militaria needs this book.

The Ottaviani Intervention: Short Critical Study of the New Order of Mass
Published in Paperback by Tan Books & Publishers, Inc. (October, 1992)
Authors: Alfredo C. Ottaviani, Antonio C. Bacci, and Anthony Cekada
Amazon base price: $8.00
Used price: $5.85
Average review score:

A wonderful resource...
Father Cekada, a devoted Catholic priest who has written many articles and tidbits on the Novus Ordo Mass, has given another invaluable resource to traditionalist Catholics with this book. His commentary and background information in the beginning offers an in-depth view of the situation, from all sides. The text itself, a classic written by the esteemed Cardinals Ottaviani and Bacci, with the assistance of Roman Theologians, still remains as the "thorn in the side" of those modernists who support the radical change in the liturgy. It is still unmatched, in my opinion, in eloquence and effectiveness.

I also recommend Father Cekada's book The Problems With the Prayers of the Modern Mass.

OUTSTANDING
This is the most powerful oral history book on the Vietnam experience I have ever read. These vets take you to the soul of their horror and grab you with the insanity of their current situation - it still eats at them every day.

Greak book!
As someone who is tremendously interested in the various modes of Christian spirituality, I found this book to be better than I could have asked for. It is well authored and has information that is useful to both those who are just becoming interested in the subject, or for someone who has had more experience. It is a very easy read and has excellent content. It is a great addition to any theological librairy.

Exceptional study highlights Christian Pagan interphase
This literate and accessible study examines the profound impact Paulinus had on Christian thought during a crucial period of its development. The letters of Paulinus and his correspondents portray an early Christian 'web' of shared concepts, intellectual discussion, and group development. Catherine Conybeare examines how the very process of writing and transmitting letters between members of a community helped to bind that community together and to aid the creation of ideas that would continue to reverberate for centuries. Paulinus was key to that group iconic as a model of behavior, as a conversion success story, and as an intellectual contributor able to bridge the old world and the new. A subtext shows how neoplatonism was christianized by this network of new converts which included Augustine among others.
