From the most elementary techniques to the most complicated, this book puts all relevant concepts in an easy to understand, yet thorough, study. My own trading has become much more efficient, selective, and profitable since I read Stanley Kroll's BUSINESS ONE IRWIN GUIDE TO THE FUTURES MARKETS, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to gain similar results

Mr.Frear has had a very interesting life. This book really gave me much insight in to Mr.Frear's life's adventures. Mr.Frear is a man before his time and his writing reflects it. Most of his books are based on real events, and his personal feelings. I recommend this book before all his other books. It will help you visualize what you are reading about in his books. This book is out of print, but you may be able to find it in used book stores and also at the library.

This is one of the best book on trading. I've read it for three times and I can say that I will read it again.

Kroll talk about how the market discount news, how everyone has his own trading system, and also not forgeting the golden rule of cutting your losses short and letting your profit run.

In short, if you have time for only one book on trading, this will be the one.

Good basic information explained very clearly with well chosen examples. I think this book would make for an interesting audio tape.

The author did a great job in putting mathematical concepts in simple language.

A good introduction to neural nets and their applicability tothe futures markets. Provides mathematical/theoretical basis fortechniques involved in neural net training, testing, chaos and touches on nonlinear systems in general. Also provides interesting benchmarks of several nets against several time series. Great bibliography. Includes Fortran source code for running trained nets but not for training a net.

Bernard Manson's text is excellent. He writes clearly and really delivers on the practitioner's guide as well as on the theory. A professionals bookshelf should have copies of Hull and Manson to show that they are serious. I would welcome a second edition if at all possible.

This is a must read book for anyone wanting a first hand shop manual for guidance toward a healthy and productive work place in our very challenging times - especially for service firms. I suspect you've read the books that speak from the theory platform, from "I observed" platform, and from the "Wouldn't be nice" platform. Very few books bring us the rational insights and practical discoveries garnered from actually going through the process of dynamic office and business change over 5 years. It's a fast read and a hard trip to his "open book management" environment.

He too has read all the books you and I have read in our quest to understand and apply "good management" and "good communications" for the sake of our customers and employees. But Earl has stepped out of the crowd to give you a round by round story of his struggle to achieve what his soul was telling him.

Earl used Ed Deming's fundamentals as the springboard, but DON'T allow that to prejudge the jewels you will discover. He provides a no-nonsense account of what really happened - warts and all. He'll remind you about what worked and what he underestimated, mistakenly took for granted,thought was gospel and was not and the importance of truth, respect, patience, courage, and trust without preaching to you. He shares his values, which are the basis for our country's success. It's a piece of real life.

You can read it in a weekend and live it in a lifetime. He articulates what was, what is, and what must be for you and me, for our families, for our customers, and for our employees. He is a new friend and I am grateful.
