Whether democrat, republican, or indepedent, so many of the facts out there are completely ignored by the mainstream media and talk shows. This show is one strong example of an examination of the facts regardless of your political affiliation. I am not affiliated with the show in any way, just struck by the facts so many seem to ignore.
Future history of IraqReview Date: 2006-07-02
First, the monarchy from 1920-1958;
Second, the revolution from 1958-1968;
Third, the Ba'ath Regime from 1968-1988;
Fourth, the wreck of Iraq from 1988-2003.
These chapters recount the history of Iraq from its beginnings after World War I--when the British created a country where none has existed before--with three parties holding very different views--Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds.
Each of these three groups is examined as the basis for speculation as to what is to come in the future. The authors wonder if Iraq might end up splintering into three distinct countries--Sunni, Shia, and Kurd. Questions emerge from this scenario: Is this desirable? Would the needs of all three groups be optimized in this manner? Will this encourage additional "ethnic cleansing"? Even beyond what we have seen? Would such a solution mark success--or failure--of the American intervention?
The future? America's role in that future? We cannot say at this point. However, it does appear that the American intervention never really understood the historical and cultural context. We can only hope that the Iraqi incursion turns out well. But it is also clear that Americans sadly misunderstood the context into which they entered. . . .
Iraq History 101Review Date: 2006-03-12
Each element is well done and provides context for the reader interested in something more than current events weith respect to Iraq. The end result of reading this book is to wonder at the arrogance of the war planners who apparently did not consider historical and ethnic and religious context as that critical for the outcome of the war. As one of the neocons once mentioned, reality is not so important to the United States; the country can create its own reality. To this point, the reality being created on the ground in Iraq is far different than it might have been had history acted as a guide.

WOO-HOO!Review Date: 2003-12-10
Ian Hamilton, an Earth dweller who was the heir to the Trade Federation and crown prince of the Vash empire, was deep undercover. He posed as Ian Stone, a trader of black market items. He was determined to bring the human people of Earth, the Vash people of Sienna, and all the people in the Federation together in peace! However, freak accidents and bad luck kept getting in the way. When his pilot died, Ian's crew was stranded on an awful world called Donavan's Blunder. Ian's critical mission would have failed right there, had a spunky pilot, Tee, not happened to appear. But neither Ian nor Tee told the other who they really were.
King Romlijhian, Tee's uncle, sent Gann Truelénne after the runaway princess. To do so, Gann had to hire Lara Ros, a master tracker. Gann and Lara clashed instantly, but are forced to work together if they were to succeed.
The galaxy would never be the same again!
***** In a word, "W-O-W!" And throw in a few "WOO-HOO's!" Why? Because Susan Grant has created an amazing universe with some very interesting characters to turn it upside-down! The story was well written and very believable. I could not help but cheer Tee's bravery. When the name "Susan Grant" is on the cover, readers best hold onto their seats because it's going to be one heck of a ride! *****

A GREAT sequel in the 'Star' series...Review Date: 2003-05-13
Tee'ah Dar has fled her life as a Vash Princess. Never having the freedom to make her own choices, not even choosing the man she marries, Tee'ah is sick to death of her life as a pampered princess. The only thing she has ever done behind her family's back is learn how to fly, the one thing that she can't live without doing. When her father finds out, Tee'ah knows that she can't stay and keep suffocating under her father's rule, or her heart will slowly die. When she meets Ian, he seems a gift from God, or so she thought. What she didn't know was that he was the prince of the galaxy and if he knew who she was, he would return her before she could say 'Earthdweller'.
Tee'ah and Ian's story is truly heartwarming. All her life Tee'ah has been taught to put the needs of others above the needs of few. This once she has denied her heritage and fallen in love in the process. Ian has done everything he can to please Rom, and not end up like his father, who treats women as bad as he ever treated his mother. Ian has a rolemodel in Rom who he wants to be proud of him, but he doesn't think he could give up the love of his life.
Don't miss it!

I do agree with one of the previous reviewers in that I had difficulty choosing an image at random using only my finger, but I solved this problem by using my pendulum with this book. I move the pendulum over the images until it starts circling, and eureka! There is the correct answer. You could also use dice, I suppose, since the book is big enough that the page with the images lies flat.

Women's Legacy for Future GenerationsReview Date: 2008-03-07
Women's Lives, Women's Legacies - BravoReview Date: 2003-10-02
Brings forth women's wisdomReview Date: 2003-09-30
Through stories, commentary, and especially "reflection and writing" suggestions, this book guides us to contemplate aspects and details of our lives we may tend to take for granted, plumbing the rich depths of their meaning to us, our families, and the world. To name just a few examples: pregnancy, miscarriage, and birth; hanging clothes on a clothesline, specific childhood memories, family relationships, friendships, personal rituals, illness and healing experiences, personal response to world events.
Women's Lives, Women's Legacies - a radiant guidebookReview Date: 2003-10-02
The beautifully written and accessible WOMEN'S LIVES, WOMEN'S LEGACIES offers encouragement and serves as a guide so that I may begin to write my life and in the process, come to love and appreciate myself more fully. I love the personal stories and poetry in the book. As I read, I find myself moving to that spiritual place inside myself of loving my own being as well as all the women who've lived before me and those who will come after. This book is a celebration of and addition to the heritage of women.
Journaling for the Next GenerationReview Date: 2007-02-02
Women's Lives, Women's Legacies is a practical and inspirational guide. Through a systematic approach women can access their beliefs and bless the next generation with a healing journal of life and love. Divided into three sections, there is a process of discovery through the past, present and future.
How did you receive your name? This section is fascinating and then an example of how to write about your name is given to provide perspective and inspiration.
"Begin by thinking about the home you lived in when you were growing up." ~ pg. 68
Through childhood memories you can start to create a picture of how you became who you are today. This section includes memory triggers, which are especially helpful. You may want to go through photo albums while experiencing this section of the book. I found it useful to photocopy groups of pictures for reference and organized my pictures by year.
I loved the section on "Reflections and Writing" where you complete sentences like:
What I have loved most about my life is...
A fairy tale, children's story, fictional character, or book that has had an important influence on my life is...
This book is amazing in its ability to help you remember long-forgotten memories. There are sections for friendship, family, motherhood, sexuality, spirituality and secrets. Throughout this creative work, there are some startlingly beautiful poems and wise quotes. There are lists of descriptive words you can expand on like: playful, sensual, and imaginative.
While this book is designed for journal-style writing, I think all writers and poets will find this to be especially inspirational and enriching experience. What will you leave for the next generation to discover?
One of my most treasured items is a diary my mother wrote about my first year of life and she also wrote a diary about her world travels. She is currently interested in genealogy and I think this book might be useful for anyone researching and writing about family history. This book would be perfect for a mother-daughter project or as a project for a woman's group. Women's Lives, Women's Legacies is a gift in itself and this could open the door to many worlds you want to visit time and again.

Astrology made accessable and fun!Review Date: 2007-05-06
Here's what you do: Divide the cards into the three categories (planets,signs,houses)then shuffle each stack and turn them over and read the sentence that is formed by the words on each card. The cards can be used to determine 'outcome' or 'action'. Blue side is for outcome and red/orange is for action. There are 3 levels of answer that you can obtain, they are: Spiritual, Mental and Physical.
These are great cards. Fun and informative and really easy to use!
Innovative Oracle Deck Using the Planets, Signs and Houses of AstrologyReview Date: 2007-04-17
With his characteristic Aquarian inventiveness, author Monte Farber marries the ancient art of Astrology with the accessibility of an oracle deck in Karma Cards. Designed so anyone can use them quickly and easily, Karma Cards are an unusual blend of oracle phrases with the Planets, Signs, and Houses of Astrology--36 cards in all.
Whether you seek to an answer an action question such as "What should I do about this job offer?" or an outcome question such as "What will be the outcome of this date?" Karma Cards are designed to answer both types of questions with clarity and accuracy. These reversible cards feature three words or phrases in blue to answer outcome-based questions with three words/phrases in red to answer action-oriented queries.
In addition, the six words/phrases on each card is divided in three realms: spiritual, mental and physical. Truly, Karma Cards covers all the bases!
Here's an example: let's say I want to inquire about a book I'm writing. I'd separate the Karma Cards into three decks: Planets, Houses, and Signs, shuffle and draw a card from each pile. (What's great about this deck is that the card backings display the category.)
So say I drew Saturn in Aquarius in the 7th House. I'd look at the blue section on each card, read the three sentences generated by the cards, and determine which sentence best applied to the situation according to my intuitive impression.
The Spiritual advice says "The maturity that brings genius to experiment with balance". The Mental advice says "Caution regarding the discoveries of cooperation". And lastly, the Physical advice says "Limits imposed resulting from the eccentricity of your partners."
Personally, I find it helpful to play around with both the red and blue sections because, in this case, I found the RED advice much more clear and appropriate. You could always experiment with Karma Cards to see which methods work best for you.
Along with the highly original construction of this particular oracle deck, I am also impressed with the 96-page guidebook to Karma Cards. The companion book is so rich with detailed yet practical information that those new to Astrology would get a solid introduction to this art just by reading it! Monte explains the nuts and bolts of an astrological chart, including house polarities, as well as the nature of each sign and planet--including the North and South Nodes.
If you had your astrological chart, you could get a good interpretation of the placements just by reading the card combinations and companion book. For example, looking at the chart of both my husband and son, I recognize that they both have their Moon in the 7th House. However, my son's Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius while my husband's Moon is in Aquarius.
To get some insight into those placements, I'd remove the Moon and 7th House cards from the deck, as well as the Aquarius and Sagittarius cards. Put them in a row, read what they say, and ouila!--I now have an overview of these particular placements.
If you're fascinated by Astrology or would like to know more, Karma Cards would make a great introduction to this art! If you love quick, easy, and clear divination tools, this deck makes a GREAT oracle. I've used it several times and found it be very accurate and highly insightful!

I refrained from rating the set at 5 stars due to the multiple references to Mr. Robbins' seminars embedded throughout the recordings. After I listened to these CDs, I went ahead and bought $300 worth more of his CDs because what Anthony Robbins really brings back what I have learned in the past from great mentors, like Earl Nightingale, John Cummuta, Brian Tracy, Jay Abraham, Zig Ziglar and so on.
I am extremely excited to be able to listen to Anthony Robbins' wisdom and advice, because it has helped me to take charge of my life.

The history is followed by an examination of the perspectives of each of the three major groups that make up the state of Iraq - the Sunni Arabs, the Shi'a Arabs and the Kurds. Though this structure entails a certain amount of repetition of information from the first section of the book ( especially in the section on the Shi'a), it does help us understand the position of each of the three groups and what they stand to gain or lose as a result of different potential constructions of their future.
The third section of the book is devoted to examining the options available for the future of Iraq, including their potential positive and negative consequences and the likelihood of prevailing conditions allowing each option to become reality.
All three major groups in Iraq are shown warts and all. The book shows no favoritism in its analysis. The issues are analyzed with penetrating depth and the belief of the American government that the people of Iraq would welcome Western style democracy with open arms is scathingly laid bare as the ludicrously naïve position it is. A must read for all who truly want to understand the situation in Iraq.
