Riveting Triumph Over Abuse
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2008-05-03
Dominic Carter has written a deeply moving memoir framed around the horrific physical and sexual abuse he suffered as a young child. No Momma's Boy is not for the faint of heart. Some of the descriptions of the abuse that Mr. Carter suffered at the hands of his mentally ill mother, Laverne, are almost unbearable to read.

Yet, ultimately, Dominic Carter's story is one of triumph over adversity. Laverne sexually abused Carter and tried to kill him when he was a toddler. Born with heart defects and pneumonia, Mr. Carter grew up in poverty on the mean streets of Harlem and The Bronx. Under these circumstances, it is remarkable that he survived, let alone thrived. "Prisons and mental institutions are full of people with backgrounds similar to mine," Carter opines.

In a fast-paced, conversational style, Carter takes readers through the darkest days of his inner city childhood, his escape from poverty via graduate school in upstate New York, and his meteoric rise to journalist extraordinaire at one of New York's top cable television stations.

A key factor in young Dominic's survival was the support he received from his grandmother, Anna Pearl, and his Aunt Inez. Laverne was in and out of mental institutions, and Dominic's father was absent most of the time. Anna Pearl and Inez stepped in to fill the parental void, providing love and putting steel in Dominic's spine, which served him well growing up and later in the cutthroat profession of television journalism.

Mr. Carter is brutally honest about his volcanic temper and the subsequent emotional breakdown following Laverne's death which nearly ended his career. No Momma's Boy is not only an eye-opening read, it represents a cathartic healing of Carter's pain. After a lifetime of holding back powerful negative emotions relating to childhood trauma, Mr. Carter has found the courage to admit that "talking about issues that shame you is like giving CPR to your soul."

Mr. Carter proudly displays bravado and does a lot of name-dropping. This trait is a double-edged sword. It is initially off-putting, but as Carter cogently notes, it is also a critical source of self-confidence that enabled him to overcome extraordinary adversity.

He brags, but he has a lot to brag about. Mr. Carter is a top reporter at NY1, a premier cable television station in the nation's largest media market. He has interviewed world figures such as Bill Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, and Nelson Mandela. This would be a monumental achievement for anyone; it is absolutely amazing for someone who grew up poor and abused in The Bronx.

All I can say is thank you Dominic for opening up your heart and allowing me the opportunity to read about your family secrets. From start to finish I was captivated by this story and I must say what a delightful person he is when you meet him in public. This was one gem of a read......you go New York 1 Political Commentator!

NY1's top reporter/political analyst gives a painful recollection of his childhood with a schizophrenic mother and how he was able to overcome it to become successful, careerwise and personally. I thought his writing was sincere, not showy, and gave insights into the people and institutions that influenced him in a positive way. An interesting read.

Often the family history of some one who has a mental illness is covered up. This almost happened in this mans family. His story lets us all know that to seek the truth brings healing to deep hurts. Leaving the truth covered never gets to forgiveness. As a Black family member this is particularly true. The unspoken code of Black families is to not ever uncover mental illness, just pray to deal with the issues. Additionally, most men do not speak of a difficult past, espically one in the public eye as this important well known news personality. The book was easy to read, and tells of wonderful forgiveness, and can help anyone bring their own hidden truths of abuse and mental illness into the sunshine of healing. Thank you Dominic Carter for telling your story.

One of the Best Books of the Year

Review Date: 2007-12-31
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has included this as one of the best books of 2007. It probably did't hurt that Dominic Carter--a colorful media celebrity--served as grand marsal for the NAMI New York City walkathon, but the book deserves the distinction in its own right.

It is an incredible book by a person who has lived an incredible life, and overcome odds that would defeat most people.

Carter is a character written in bold and an inspiration. He grew from a childhood of poverty in the Bronx to become one of New York City's best-known news anchors and political reporters, interviewing Nelson Mandela and President Clinton and sparring with former New York City mayor Rudy Guliani. (If Guliani does become president, let's hope that one of the national television networks assign Carter to the White House press room; it would be great theater to watch and a service to the nation).

Carter also lived with a secret of physical and sexual abuse as a child. After his mother died in 2001, he collected 620 pages of medical records and learned for the first time of her life-long struggle with paranoid schizophrenia. "I got hit with a double-barreled shotgun," he said in recent newspaper interviews. "As a child, I didn't know what was going on,"

His autobiography is therapeutic. "I've been running from the ghetto...I've been running from my mother, and I didn't want to run anymore."

In confronting the past, Carter comes to terms with his mother's mental illness and his own emotions. "My mother was not a demon, but she saw demons," Carter writes. "If a demon exists in this story, it is society's collective mistreatment and misunderstanding of mental illness."

"In spite of her tragic life, I celebrate my mother for this one thing," Carter concludes. "She was a survivor...I am proud of my mother for not giving up...You become a real winner in life when the winds of fate knock you down and you manage to get back up. Many people, rich or poor, cannot get back up, but my mother did."

"I am not ashamed to be called her son."

The book is self-published and candid. To his credit, Carter resisted suggestions by mainstream publishers to sensationalize his story, because the basic facts and description of his childhood are upsetting enough. It is a memoir marked by pain, but also, an enduring love. It details Carter's successful career, but the unifying theme throughout is one of family. Its candid disclosures are also an act of courage, not unlike Mike Wallace's disclosure of long history of depression, or that of actor Joe Pantaliano, whose 2003 autobiography similarly reflects his mother's mental illness.

Frankly, I'd love to see Dominic, Wallace and "Joey Pants" discuss their childhoods together sometime. They have much in common. They have much in common. They are larger than life characters, who love a good scrap and rarely censor themselves, except perhaps to usually hide the softer hearts of their nature.

Through the years I have always been frustrated by the lack of a lyric sheet with Patti Smith's albums. I thought her marriage of poetry and rock deserved better. And there were many parts of her songs that I just couldn't make out, what with her broad NY drawl, so this book came as a godsend. And yes, I was invariably wrong in my guessing! So to the book: excellent photographs, insightful annotations and those wonderful songs that work equally well on the printed page but really come alive with her music. Excellent design, typography, layout; highly recommended.

The definitive collection of lyrics from the 70's punk rocker, recently reborn in the 90's. Insight into her turbulent life from her perspective. The photos are stunning, however more of her stories to go with the lyrics would have made this book a 5. A must have for any PSG fan.

Mr. Kelin is one of the rare authors who can write a book using valid original sources. It is not difficult to follow his thesis when you can look at his endnotes and replicate is thesis. It may be his attention to detail and his strong research that scares away the publishing firms that publish wildly speculative or propagandistic from sponsoring his book.

When dignitaries like Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Earl Warren and Presidents of the United States Lyndon Baines Johnson and Gerald Ford lie on the ash heap of history, the heroes celebrated in this volume will live.

Jim Garrison, Mort Sahl, Penn Jones-- they are all here, the ones who sounded the alarm, the ones who dared to see that the Warren Commission was a frameup. They and the others commemorated here will, if America survives, be honored when the false dignitaries are forgotten.

Well written, but yet again a flawed pro conspiracy stance

Review Date: 2008-03-26
I could not disagree more with the other reviwers here. I can assure readers that the better read and dispassionate researcher would conclude that beyond a reasonable doubt LHO killed Kennedy.

This book essentially documents the work of the pro conspiracy community of "critics" of the Warren Commission. Granted some of the early critics were well meaning and acted in good faith. History has not favoured them however and we still have no viable alternative explanation.

I would say with a few exceptions on certain points - specifically some questions remaining around Oswald's trip to Mexico city and the Odio incident, the official investigations (whilst not perfect) established without much doubt at all, that the shots were fired from the 6th floor of the book depository. I can assure readers here that after spending 25 years and a lot of money on hundreds of books on the subject, I reluctantly departed from belief in conspiracy and came to the conclusion that I had been duped by the JFK assassination industry. The vast majority of the American public are in fact ignorant of many facts in this case and believe people like Oliver Stone whose movie JFK whilst being a good movie in respect of film making talent, was outrageous in its blatant miss representation of the event. Kelin's book to me was an immense disappointment in one respect - he bases his entire belief - just like most before him, that the President could not have been shot by Oswald, because he can't accept the single bullet theory and the official conclusion that the fatal head shot was fired from above and behind. I just groaned when I read his account of the shots and the wounds caused. These are amateurish mistakes. You may at a stretch perhaps reject these two basic conclusions, though you would de facto have to accept that the autopsy report was either totally wrong or that the wounds were faked and in respect of the SBT, that the other bullet disappeared. The single biggest red herring in this case is the "timing of the shots and wounds are not compatible" with the evidence. That is an untruth and sadly a common misunderstanding on the part of the vast majority of the interested public. It is not however the belief generally of academics and professional scientists and medics who have studied the case.

It's all been debated on this site before, so lets not get into too much detail, but it saddens me to see the American public continuing to be exploited by this industry. The majority of modern studies and documentary programs have concluded that it was Lee Harvey Oswald after all.

All that said on balance I do welcome Kelins book as one of the better from the last 20 years - free largely of sensationalism, but I am afraid in my humble but well informed opinion, woefully naïve. It is important to hear both sides of the argument and I for one am open minded in respect of conspiracy should evidence arise - there is quite simply no real evidence for there being more than one assassin period.

An excellent work!

This is a very fine effort that deserves the attention of a vast audience. It is well referenced and sourced. Of the many JFK books, this one ranks very high. Most knowledgeable JFK researchers will know of the early Warren Commission critics covered within the work, and the battles they fought, but Mr. Kelin also introduces the little known Oklahoma housewife, Shirley Martin. Mrs. Martin loaded her car with her children in 1964 and headed for Dallas, interviewing many JFK witnesses even before the Warren Commission. What a woman!

Precious Things, the third book in the "Faded Photographs" series, continues the common thread brought forth in both Broken Things and Hidden Things, the two previous titles in Andrea Boeshaar's superior series.

Blythe Severson has immersed herself in the present, attempting to escape the mistakes of the past. And she believes she has succeeded...until one of those "mistakes" shows up at her front door. After giving up her baby due to her own perceived inability to care for it, Blythe faces going through her entire life with empty arms.

Kylie Rollins has been buffeted by crisis after crisis: the death of her mother, a broken engagement, and the realization that the woman she had called Mom all these years, might not have been her real mother at all. Discovering that Blythe Severson is her biological mother, Kylie longs for a relationship with the woman. A relationship which she hopes will fill her empty heart.

The two women come together, each possessing their own unique need. After all these years, will Kylie's heart be able to fill her mother's empty arms? And will Blythe's arms be enough to comfort her daughter's hurting heart?

The two previous titles in Andrea Boeshaar's "Faded Photographs" series raised the bar for Christian fiction and Precious Things leaps the hurdle with ease. Another "must read."

Blythe is brought face to face with the fall-out of decisions and vows made in her youth. When the young man she'd loved was killed, she was persuaded it was best to give up their baby for adoption. Okay, so now she's mature, faith has sustained her over many years of heartache, she has a successful antique business, but her heart still yearns for the daughter now seeking a relationship with her biological mother. The decisions Blythe has to make now will again have far reaching effects on several people. Is she prepared to lose her business, the man she is learning to love or continue to be estranged from the daughter she has always loved?
The struggles of mother and daughter and the men who love them reached deep into my own heart. The way Andrea Boeshaar shows the truth and relevance of Scripture for today's problems warms and delights. Her excellent portrayal of real people in real struggles to find and obey God's ways must be a challenge to any reader searching for answers to life's questions of faith, love and forgiveness.
This book is a keeper, one to read over and over!

I never read the first two books, I admit it, but these characters pulled me in. I stayed up 'til nearly 1:00 a.m. reading one evening. (yawn) But I wasn't disappointed. Through the characters, I saw examples of forgiveness in action--and how we must learn to forgive, which isn't always an instant occurrence. I cheered for Blythe and even cried a couple tears for her situation. Thanks for a great story! Now to get the first 2 books...

As a busy Central Banker, I have precious little time for truly entertaining reading. However, this book is a MUST for everyone involved in economic negotiations with Heads of State. It succintly and laboriously explains every aspect of the minutae of setting interest rate policies, issuing government debt and dealing with Presidents who can barely spell bond, let alone price a bermudan option on one. The only question I have is what is the Sterling thing that the authors go on about all the way through the book? Never heard of it.

Oh yeah, it also fits the annoying gap I have on the right hand nearside leg of my Central Banker-sized mahogany desk. Perrrrfect.

Now then.... back to annoying all those stoopid investment bankers.

In all my years of experience, I have never encountered a more helpful book in understanding the financial derivatives. Having gone countless rounds with the market in the past, I can safely say that everyone can use something like this in his/her corner. Dodging blows, keeping loose and flexible and countering with devastating shots are all fundamental in success in this business and Mr. Miron comes through with a training program that is second to none. I think that it is interesting to note that the authors are not focused on just finance and have interests completely outside of banking. As a matter of fact, I have had the pleasure to Mr. Miron and have actually heard him play in a band years ago. I must say that the man plays a mean guitar.

Economic theory being a sort of hobby of mine, I couldn't help but notice this particular work. I have written a book myself of which I was quite proud, but this one just blew me out of my grave. I think that after reading this brilliantly written piece that I am completely turned around on the issue of economics. Perhaps flinging around finicncial derivatives is the way forward.

My only complaint is that the copy that I read was a photocopy. I find this distressing that there are so many photocopies of the work in circulation. As a distinguished writer myself, I, too, know the pains of not earning the residuals that are most deserved.

This book is indeed very well written and very thorough. It is aimed at people that are not super-league mathematicians, but the finance market participant who has the maths/physics superstar background won't find the presentation annoying. I am finding it especially useful in building curves for markets that I do not have first hand knowledge of.
The problem, of course, is the price. Out of stock at the moment, but when it is in, it costs [$$$]. This is completely outrageous for a book which has not been updated, and is entirely latex produced. In other words, the publishers would have got PHOTO READY print from the authors - no colour diagrams or anything. I think [$$$] would be a reasonable price for the publishers to mark it at. ...

This is one of the most unusual books I've come across in a long time in the way it thoughtfully blends learning from the author's life and many different disciplines of study. By carefully organizing the material into two sections, Robert Kamm makes some very profound ideas easy to understand. There are wonderful insights about why we so readily give in to the speed of the information age. Especially enjoyable for me was Chapter Four which peels back the Superman myth layer by layer to reveal some startling messages. I also found quite unique among all books on family and workplace issues Kamm's emphasis on the importance of the grieving process in helping us grow. The scope of the book is almost too ambitious, but he pulls it off with passion. A courageous and eloquent work.

Extraordinary depth of thought yet expressed very clearly. The most comprehensive book of its kind available--moves from a theory about human nature through a fascinating explanation of the underlying meaning of the superman myth, to personal application, then professional and organizational. Very wise on intrapersonal dynamics. A unique applicatiion of the grieving process as part of a liberated person's standard operating mode. Insights could be as valuable to just anybody trying to live their live or apply to business, social, religious and political leaders. Being in business myself, I'm impressed that a business leader, or any leader for that matter, who really "gets" the author's message could revolutionize his way of operating and lead his people to higher productivity, more genuine satisfaction and a better balance between work and family. One of those books that, if it hits you, it hits you hard and you want to share it with a lot of people you know. Author's description of superman made me feel as if he'd been peeking into my psyche, my father's and my grandfather's. Strong stuff...and apparently only the first in a trilogy. More, please, Mr. Kamm!

Best selling author Harvey Mackay wrote "Swim With The Sharks", describing the dog-eat-dog world we live in and how to be the dog that eats. In "The Superman Syndrome," Kamm brings the voice of compassion, integrity and openess to the service of humanity as the way we ought to conduct our lives. He provides the counterpoint to Mackay: "Swim With the Dolphins."

When we choose to live a life at speed, not depth, we choose an unrelenting willingness to sacrifice family, love, marriage and all else in pursuit of success. That's the synthesis of what Kamm calls "The Superman Syndrome."

For men in particular, there's an opportunity to cast the Superman uniform aside in favor authentic selfhood and family. Kamm says it's where "the inner and outer journeys are inextricably woven together...to tear down the wall of illusion between personal and professional realms."

Amen.

I had Bob Kamm's book for several months before I slowed down to read it. I knew better, but my life was caught up in speed at the expense of depth. Bob has a hard hitting way of reminding me about the importance of relationships, without leaving me bleeding on the side of the road. So, after reading the book, I gave it to my son to read, and now I'm going to get another copy for my daughter and son-in-law. This is a must read for all of them. For someone you love, read The Superman Syndrome.

I expected this book to be about our being inundated with information and how that drives us to be super-human and create something in us that makes us seem sick. What I got was a hundred pages of reviews of Superman (the movies, comics, and other items) and then 200 pages of how to fix our problems as a result of our Superman myth becoming reality. But the real gist of this book is that we are addicted to the working speed of the information age (which is a synonym for today) and, as a result of this, we are denying our most valuable job: to be effective parents. If we change the purpose of our lives to be children-focused, then we will have a better society. No argument there. What he suggests is very much akin to The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, which I happen to agree with. While his writing is imaginative and flowing, in general, I found this book redundant, not very cohesive, and not well organized. I agree with the findings he presents in the last half of the book, but it certainly could be more succinct. The title could better reflect the content.

The Swanepoel Trends report is a tool that every broker and agent must read. It gives you the edge on the competition by knowing what is going to happen rather than saying to yourself after the fact "what happened?" In today's changing and volatile market you need to be able to see the future in order to seize your future.

Today's real estate industry and marketplace is in the midst of the perfect storm. An amazing number of forces, factors and trends are impacting virtually every aspect of the industry and those who work within its sphere of influence. To not understand these factors amounts to the ultimate vulnerability. To not be considering how they will influence the industry moving forward is tantamount to feeling one's way in the dark. To not appreciate the amazing opportunities being created for all involved amounts is to missing an historic moment.

There is an impressive range of information, literature and publications available to the student of today's real estate industry. However, there is only one place to start the search. Stephan Swanepoel's 2008 Trends Report offers in depth information, focused analysis and a unique perspective with respect to how these forces are coming together to restructure the industry, reform the transaction and create a high value service proposition. It will be found on the desks of industry leaders across the country and will be quoted whenever the decision makers meet.

The situation the world is in today (terrorism, battle ground in Afghanistan, the Gaza strip, to the economic fall out of big businesses, government over spending, etc.) Kerry helps us find a true path to follow through Godly inspiration and insight from the been there done that perspective. When adding the strategies outlined in his book "Tabernacle of Hope", one can strengthen themselves to face the challenges set before them. For those who are in despair it is a must read. I have read approximately 55 books in the past five years and would place this read near the top.

Truly an inspiration!

I would not have thought that I could understand how a person could become a terrorist. After reading Kerry's first book "Tabernacle of Hate" I realized how easily it could happen to any of us. With his second book "Tabernacle of Hope" Kerry takes a closer look at his faith and beliefs. But most importantly he leads the reader, by example, down the road of true self examination. I highly recommend this book.

I had read Kerry's first book,"Tabernacle of Hate," and was looking forward to reading his latest book,"Tabernacle of Hope." I found it fascinating that such an obviously intelligent man was so caught up in this web of deception that he was ready to commit terrorist acts in the name of God. I feel that this book is a "must read" for anyone who wishes to have a deeper understanding of how a truly good man could be led so far astray. The reader watches as Kerry slowly starts to recognize the error of his ways and begins to return to the path of righteousness-NOT an easy task by any means. I think that this book was very informative and also inspiring.

What do you do when your rock-solid belief system in all that is good teeters on the abyss of self-doubt and real physical destruction?
In "Tabernacle of Hope", a followup to his stunningly honest "Tabernacle of Hate", Kerry Noble takes his readers step by step through a period in his life that was both euphoric and agonizing -- and how he then put his life back together. Kerry shares his spiritual journey in a context that relates on a personal level to his readers. And he provides pointed "Noble strategies" that add insight and camaraderie -- readers will definitely have "been there", "felt that", "aha" moments peeking over Kerry's shoulder as his moral compass swings from mild-mannered to mayhem and then to maven. A good honest, easy to read story from the heart with lessons learned for us all.

There are those of us who realize we are here on Earth for a purpose and plan. We go through trials, through fires. Kerry is completely transparent in Tabernacle of Hope. Kerry, his wife, and children are survivors and Kerry realizes he has a message to share. Kerry's desire to impart wisdom, healing, teaching, spiritual understanding, family unity, Americanism - is woven into the pages where he "shares from his innermost". There are few of us who will ever go through or have gone through what the Noble's have experienced. Praise the Lord, Kerry is willing to be used by God to make a positive impact. It is apparent where his strength comes from. Kerry, thank you, for allowing God to use you to challenge us in how we think, in how we believe. We all have the power of choice in our thoughts and in our actions. You have given us courage to press through trials and fires.

I have read a lot on EVP's lately and this book really capped off a lot of questions that I had. If you are interested in the subject this is a great reference book and gives all of the history on EVP. A book I will keep for a long time to reference to.

When I read this book I delved into the unknown, and I think that it's interesting and informative. I had never heard of electronic voice phenomena, or anything like it. It was simple enough for the casual information gatherer (like myself) and, I felt, advanced enough for an expert. It makes you think about the blend of technology and simplicity that is behind a message and makes you wonder if you really could receive those messages too. I was impressed with the authors ability to bring an unknown subject into the mainstream effectively; and, make you want more. Very nicely done!

Finally, Scientific Evidence

Read this easy to read book to develop your own scientific evidence to prove the continuity of life in another expression following the change called "death."

After reading it, I am ready to get out my tape recorder and have a try at it. The instructions given are easy to follow and encourage one to develop their own techniques.

We need to remember that those in the "spirit realms" are just as anxious to communicate and those in this physical. Read the truly amazing examples of those who have met with success. My favorite story is the one about the "talking coffee pot"!

This is the first book I've read on the topic of EVP, and I was absolutely blown away!

Although I've been an avid reader of all things in the "metaphysical" realm, I had actually never heard of the use of technology to communicate with the spirit realm - until I read this book.

One day as I happened to be flipping through the channels, I caught a segment of a talk show where Tom Butler was discussing this techniqe and stated that he had just written a book on it. I immediately went to Amazon.com and ordered it. At first I thought that the book was a bit expensive - but after reading it, I must say that the information included is truely invaluable!

The authors not only give examples of EVP, but they also provide detailed information to help other's get results via this method (as well as methods using a video camera & TV).

This is an excellent read for anyone with an interest in the "paranormal" - an open mind is a must!

An inspirational Gem

This book is a gem! It is fabulous. It is simply amazing - and it is inspirational! Why? Because communicating with those who crossed over is the greatest discovery in human history!
With absolute certainty the most important question in this world is whether or not we survive physical death. The consequences are enormous. There is nothing as important, nothing as critical and nothing as urgent in the world than knowing that we continue to live in the afterlife.

Tom and Lisa Butler's book is revolutionary in that in a materialist world of to-day, there is an urgent need to remove the fear of death, to satisfy the curious and the skeptic that the afterlife is no longer a matter of `belief' but now is a matter of empirical - objective - evidence.

People want proof about the afterlife. People want guarantees - people want highly credible material to reveal to them how to be given absolute guarantees and guidelines that the afterlife is a certainty and that there is absolutely nothing to fear about physical death. Spirit voices on tape - the Electronic Voice Phenomenon and electronic communication from the otherside (Instrumental Transcommunication)- have now been universally accepted and have given us clear evidence that our loves ones who crossed over still care for us.

I very strongly recommend this book. I am so thankful for Tom and Lisa Butler for making a most wonderful contribution to mankind! I sincerely believe the book should be compulsory reading at school and by everyone who wants to be given assurances that we survive physical death and that we will inevitably meet our loved ones who crossed over - love being the most powerful force in the universe!

My second book by Joe. Incredible and powerful stuff!

Trading techniques on futures trading that really work and will make money if you follow the simple rules on it. Pattern recognition at it's best will blow you away on things that you already had thought about but never tried before... a strange feeling indeed. It improved immensely my trading style with strategies that will work on any time frame. They will work also on trading stocks, so don't feel discouraged if you're not ready yet to go into the futures market and you think that the trading style is different. It's not that different, just the money management techniques... and they are also covered here, ok?

Read and re-read. On my trading desk all the time!

The best advice in this world is: stay away from Stocks and Commodities. There has been more people who have lost all their
money, their homes and business, their marriages, friends, and
murders committed in the name of trading the stocks and commodities. Joe Ross is a great writer and Trading by the Book
is very good. Nevertheless....you'll still be blown out of the box if you try it. Believe me. This is the cheapest advice you'll ever get.

Learning How to Manage Your Futures Trading Business.

I have every book Joe Ross has written on futures trading. In fact, Joe taught me how to trade via his courses. That's what his books are, courses, and less than a 3 hour course at a jr. college.

For any trader not even covering his overhead, (how many traders even know what his real overhead is?) Joe offers the management elements required before teaching you how to trade. He knows that if you learn how to read a price chart without understanding money and risk management, your days are numbered. Instead of throwing money at the market, take a couple days worth of slippage and buy his books. You do know what slippage is, right?

If you study what he offers after all of his years of experience, and it will take re-reads to sink in, you can succeed in this business.

Lastly, try all of his books. It's an investment that will reap returns you cannot imagine. The costs are cheap compared to what you can (and many of Joe's followers/students have) earn in this difficult business.
