This excellent book is one of the more reasonable explanations of Christianity I've ever read. I can't recommend it too highly.

The God I Don't Believe In made me think. From it I learned about Jesus, and I learned about myself. For theology, it's easy
reading. I recommend it for anyone who wants to clarify his beliefs.

All of the seafood recipes are great. The desserts are sinful. All recipes are easy to read and ingredients are easy to
find. Try the Poppy Seed Chicken. This book is not out of print, Bishop England High School is currently printing their
5th edition. They also have Gracious Goodness Christmas which will be featured in a national magazine in October. Their

I borrowed this book from a friend and after trying a variety of the recipies I knew I had to have it. They were easy to
follow relatively quick to make and were raved about by the family. Problem was I had to return the book and did not think
I could still get it. Thank you Amazon.com! Pick up the book and be sure to try the Fruit Cobbler (fantastic) and Husbands
Delight. Neither recipe is low fat but worth EVERY calorie.

Cheryl Carter New and James Aaron Quick have put together a complete collection of MUST HAVE books for the Grant Seeker. Getting
the Grant funded is just part of the process, "The Grant Winner's Toolkit" walks you through the "Now What?" phase of grant
seeking. I never put Cheryl and James's books back on the shelf, they are ALWAYS on my desk, where I can easily reach for
them...they are the BEST!

Too many grant seekers think that winning a grant is a job well done. The reality is that winning the grant is only a first
step in a long process. This book has all the information anyone needs to effectively manage their grant programs. The text
is well written and easy to read and follow. The examples and sample documents are worth their weight in gold! I would highly
recommend this book to begining grant writers who have never had the opportuntiy to work on a grant project. This book will
help you avoid the pitfalls many of us had to discover the hard way.

I never would have thought that I would happily spend an entire plane ride reading a book about finances -- but I did and I loved it. This book does a wonderful job explaining finances in clear language to a general audience. The book is well-designed to give a grants professional the knowledge that they need to understand an organization's finances from reading financial statements to 990's. It really is an excellent book that I highly recommend to anyone who works in the non-profit field.

Very strongly recommended for academic and community library American History collections, Growth Of The American Revolution:
1766-1775 by Bernhard Knollenberg (Professor Emeritus of History, Indiana University) is an impressively in-depth and informative
study of American revolutionary history from the repeal of the Stamp Act in 1766 to the outbreak of violence at Lexington
and Concord in 1775. Delineating key events and incorporating a discussion of the historiography, Growth Of The American Revolution:
1766-1775 is an expansive and scholarly work so heavily researched that the extensive notes to the chapters take up almost
as many pages as the chapters themselves.

Growth of the American Revolution: 1766-1775
by Bernhard Knollenberg
Liberty Fund, published 1975
Lawyer turned Historian, Bernhard Knollenberg's final book is a continuation of his Origins of the American Revolution: 1759-1766. The work's intent is to be "an Account of the Change in the Minds and Hearts of a Majority of the people in the Thirteen colonies" (ii). Its narrative focuses heavily on the imperial policies of the British Government and the misunderstandings that permeated communications between the Colonies and the Mother Country.
This learned work contains much that is useful to any serious scholar of the American Revolution. There is a chronology of events followed by thirty-two chapters of narrative. The book concludes with 27 appendices and over two hundred pages of notes and bibliographic entries. The organization of the work is a cause of confusion, as the reader is required to skip back and forth between the main text and the back matter in order to keep the narrative flowing. The exhaustive notes show that Knollenberg has consulted primary and secondary sources in both America and England. They provide the reader will a clear guide for obtaining additional information.
British and American relations had begun to decline during the period of the French and Indian war. Imperial policy repeatedly provoked a sharp outcry from colonists and generated increasing bad will on both side. The failure of the British government to recognize that the colonies were viable entities with their own goals meant that the imperial bond was irreparably damaged.
Growth of the American Revolution: 1766-1775, offers a conventional perspective on the events leading up to the separation of America from England: Imperial intransigence combined with economic divergence of interests. For all its conventionality, it provides such a strong breadth of material and plain style as to make it a useful tool for academics and an enjoyable narrative for general readers.

I wrote a paper on managed care competition for an economics course. This book proved invaluable. Without any previous knowledge
of health economics, I was able to read, learn, and understand a fairly complex subject in a short amount of time using this
book. The text covers everything but remains at an undergrad level. The arguments and examples are simple, clear, interesting,
and easy to remember. I definitely found this to be the best introduction and overview to health economics, after having
read six or seven books on the subject.

This book brought back so many childhood memories! I loved how Mr. Greenleaf kept the old Irish charm with the modern revision.
Great Job! My nieces and nephews couldn't get enough of the stories and kept asking me to read them again. I also really
like the artwork of Mr. Quigley. I definately look forward to any future works of Mr. Greenleaf. A definate MUST HAVE!!!!

Joseph greenleaf has updated this set of classical fairy stories without losing any of the flavor of the original. The illustrations
are wonderful, the stories fun to hear or to read. My next suggestion to Mr. Greenleaf is that he produce a CD so that travelers
can enjoy these wonderful tales while on the road.

Newton Barnaby School's second graders have embarked on a fund-raising drive to finance a field trip to the Statue of Liberty.
These perky kids have no shortage of energy or ideas for collaborative projects that can generate cash. A collection of all
types of paper to sell to the recycling man, a lemonade stand, candy sales, and a car wash: each involves expenses, earnings,
and a profit. So exactly how would these seemingly small-scale enterprises generate more than eight thousand dollars? Therein
lies the fun in this clever book that wraps a valuable economics lesson into an entertaining story for young readers who are
taking their first steps on the path toward financial literacy.

Since I am just learning about the investment world I have read ten books so far about how to invest, where to invest, how
much one should invest, and so on. "How To Invest The Smart Way" by Stephen Littauer is the best investment book that I
have read. Since it covers Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds it covers hows to invest in each and what to watch out for in
a very concise manner. I borrowed this book from our local library and I hope to purchase it in order to have it as a resource
book for future use. Of the ten books that I have read so far this is the only one that I have selected to put into my
own library. So if you want to learn the basics about investing that is in a clear, concise, and understandable language
then select this book.
