Lots of history and photos of old switchblades, back when everyone had one in their pocket!
It goes into the myths and hype surrounding the laws.
AFAIK, the only Federal ban is interstate transportation of switchblades.

He thought percussion alone could be utilized for materials in music, It is music, although this piece is unfortunatly the most copied, by Hollywood chase scenes and creeping terminators but all the innovators, this was a work everyone needed to get past,we really don't know if anyone did and since then there have been attempts at purely percussion works perhaps holding in abeyance that modernity has past by all of us, as it has past as an angel of 'illumination' or darkness, as the 'sulphurs' of all the 20th Century wars,corruption(s), greed and genocides seems to be with us as strongly as ever.Well EREWHON by Hughes Dufourt is a tepid, tenuous piece, measuring the thousands of timbral particles,prior to its construction;It holds its own something Varese would have liked to hear.Steve Reich also with his modest piece for four woodblocks still contains a gentle fascination, and early Cage. The unaccompanied percussion solos was a good place Ionization felt its influence, Ferneyhough's "Bone Alphabet", Feldman's "King of Denmark". Ralph Shapey as well of all the post dodecaphonists held a close association to 'Ionization' and Varese in philosophy, freedom, committment and timbre.Curious how the percussion solo after the Wars became tamer than 'Ionization', not nearly as explosive,or brutal, percussion inhabited a Zen garden(well with Cage) a lyrical place "quieting" the populations.

On planning a trip to Ireland (return trip for me, first trip for my kids) I wanted to dig up as much info as possible.
With so little time (and money) I wanted the most of what I had!!
After securing the Eyewitness guides and the Frommers guides, I stumbled upon Insights and was so impressed!!
It not only was a guide, but a reading book as well.
The pictures by far are the best!!
Looking through it makes me want to be there on my trip, NOW!
Let's just say, I HAVE to own this one!!
It's costly, more than the others, but well worth putting into your collection!

I've read almost all the Michelle books and this one was one of the funniest books because it has lots of jokes.I'd read it again even if it wasn't for school.I liked this book.

I was fortunate enough to receive an advance copy of Ms. Skinner's work, and after reading this page-turner, I'm quite glad that I did! As a complete "layman" in this area of religious study, I found the history of Islam - written in an approachable and "non-preachy" manner - quite fascinating. Of greater interest was how the book is broken out. There are sections on the women's role in Islam, politics, and more. What's nice is that the author doesn't shove a viewpoint down the reader's throat - she simply presents the precepts of this religious culture, written in a friendly and engaging manner - and allows the readers to make their own judgement. Very well done!

This is a reprint of the original Gutheil score issued when the work was published. Sometimes I wish that empty staves could have been eliminated, but given how time and again instruments not expected at the moment are nevertheless called upon, that's a minor fault at worst. Very legible, authoritative and a pleasure to have - be it in one's lap when following, or on the podium for conducting! Buy it!!

it is one of the best Italian Cookbook available in the USA! Very clear and make every recepies look very simple!! Just great!
