Having gone through a number of golf teaching methods over the years, I ran across Mark Evershed on the Golf Channel giving his ideas on how the golf swing really works. The next day I went to the range to hit balls and was IMMEDIATELY impressed with my results by trying just one thing he mentioned. I ordered "The Golf Soultion" the next day and reduced my handicap 10 shots over the next 60 days. Mark breaks the golf swing down into six areas. All independent of but building on each other. He reviews the concept of "muscle memory" of which he says "there is no such thing". Your brain tells you what to do with your hands and your body. It was hard to understand that "in order to make the ball go straight, you have to swing the club crooked". This statement, and learning how to keep my right wrist bent through the impact area and follow through were the key's for me. The book seems to present what most golf professionals are already doing but don't realize they are doing it. Once you experience the feeling of a correct swing, the game seems to be a little easier.

This is an adventure novel like no other I've read; it has action, history, drama, romance, suspense and international intrigue all rolled up and bursting off the pages. Even when I wasn't reading the story, I was thinking about the intricate details of the plot. Then I read the interview that the author gave to my hometown newspaper, in which he talked about how the story was based on his real-life job for the Federal government and thought "this is cooler than James Bond."

I had read Gloria Nero's first novel, Crazysad Heart of a Fool and couldn't wait to get her second. She didn't disappoint me. In fact I found this novel even more enjoyable. Maybe because I grew up on a farm and loved the life. This story is set once again in the Catskill Mountains. The time frame is the late 80's and takes place on a small family farm when farms are beginning to disappear, the land is being sold for recreational property (country homes for city people). Lucifer Cooley and his father Pop Cooley run their farm in an old fashioned way. They use draft horses and Lucifer is opposed to going into debt. Lucifer speaks in a local dialect (uncensored). He is an earthy man as is his father. This is a story about dark secrets and the little wars that go on in a family. I don't want to give the story away as there is a gripping sense of mystery. Gloria Nero's writing is arresting, her descriptions have a clarity that is about like being there. This novel, like her first, can be read on more than one level, as a story it's hard to put down. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. But the characters are thinking individuals and interact beyond the norm. There's a lot going on here. Gloria Nero isn't afraid to portray the dark side of human nature but she also measures out enough good to give her readers a sense of hope. I have to say there is a little girl in this novel that is just plain endearing. A moral decision of right or wrong is left up to the reader. And surprisingly it is a difficult one. I reccomend this novel highly. These are not steroptyped farm people, yet anyone who's ever lived or worked on a dairy farm will agree it rings true.

I have a friend who is a web designer, and she uses the nickname angel. So I was delighted when I came across this CD Rom and now have the perfect gift for xmas (she knows so not spoiling!) There 100s of full colour angels in a large "paper-doll' size book. The images from Victorian Angels and they are gorgeous full colour depictions. This image are HUGE, approximately 800x1500 pixels is average size, in TIF format, perfect for web designs or for use in more personal graphics just as a web page or "siggies".

All are open CD ROM, too, so no bother with scanning them. They are Permission free use, so there is no limit but you imagination and you talent. Nothing to install, you can just open the file from your CD Rom Dive and access the images directly. Great for Paint Shop Pro use.

A very neat book. what with the CD-ROM it is easy to transfer a design to a real life blow up to a window or art project.

Victorian clipart: I liked this volume better than the bird illustrations CD-ROM. The butterflies resemble 'scientific' artwork of the period. The illustrations look great on envelopes, letters, CD jewelbox labels, you find a use. The color pics seem to print faster than Dover's B&W ones, too. As with the other Dover CD-ROMS, you can pull the images off the disk without installing them on your HD.

This is the second set of this classic clip art that I have bought in the dover series, and it is excellent, and wonderfully convenient to have available.

I went to the san antonio museum of art. In the gift-shop I found this book. It has many many FULL COLOR designs and patterns. It is a great book for artists or teachers that need a japanese deign or art reference. This wonderfull book is your average book: a bit bigger than 8.5/11 (normal sheet of paper), glossy covers, and a quarter inch thick. It has many deigns that are fun to copy and sew. I am a japanese enthusiast, and if you are even remotly curious and even clicked on the picture and reading this review right now it is a must.

A definit Must Buy

I have actually used this volume more than Volume one so far. Since we start Kindergarten with colors, shapes, names and numbers, I started with Little Boy Blue, Jack Be Nimble (Change the name to each child in the room to get plenty of practice) and 1,2 Buckle my Shoe. I like the full color pages that makes it ready to use. The longer I teach, the more I understand that my time is valuable. When I put a $ value on my time, I realize that I can't "make" activities for less than I can buy them.

When I first looked at this on the Amazon web site I was not sure about getting it because the pages you can see look to be designs from Egypt and I wanted more then that. I sent for it anyway and it has wonderful designs in full color plates from China, Japan, India, Russia, the Renaissance, Medieval jewelry designs and others. It has just a little bit (a few pages) of everything from ancient Egypt to 18th century France.It will be more then helpful in helping me decide what I like. I am sure this will be one of my most used books and as always I am happy with Dover for making it at a price I can afford.
